Before more people comment: I do not foresee myself continuing this series. This was a product of quarantine, boredom and a hyperfixation which has since died. I’m incredibly happy you all like this so much and want more! If I did finish it it would probably be a recap of the comics if nothing else. Happy listening :)
i think it’s interesting that the scarecrows are called just that, because your average scarecrow in this universe is a deterrent to keep things out but bli ‘s scarecrows act by turning people in, which is basically the polar opposite
I know this is a bit late but the great fires were basically when BLI/ND set off a bunch of bombs in the zones to drive people out of the desert so they were forced to take refuge in battery city. (I think)
I give you my thanks and my gratitude. I hail from the Star wars and game theory fanbases, where we keep very meticulous track of our lore. I had assumed all fanbases were like this, but found that is unfortunately not the case, which is a shame, especially for fanbases like this which such interesting concepts. Thus far, your video is the only real lore i have found, and was even more informative than the digging i did on the fan wiki. Thank you for satisfying the nerds like me, hope you someday manage to get out videos 2 and 3. Also, great makeup look, very cool.
I am trying really hard to !!! I kinda fell out of my mcr phase so if I do continue this series it’ll probably mostly be a “recap” style about the comics !!
no:( I got severely overwhelmed with the work, so if I do finish it- it'll be a while. and it'll most likely be 1-3 hours long to make sure that I can cover everything!
a trigger warning is like informed consent of the contents of the media to help people with trauma to avoid potentially disturbing or upsetting themes or imagery not every person with trauma likes them but there is no downside to using them so it's generally a considerate and respectful thing to include :)
@@jynxital I understand, but this is a rock band. It's not kindergarten. If a person is not exposed to things that bother them, they can never learn how to live with it, or even start to live without it bothering them. They're not going to be presented with trigger warnings everywhere they go in life
@@janetlewis7381 whilst that may be true, trigger warnings are not to stop the affected persons from completely avoiding the topic, as that would certainly make the situation worse and negatively reinforce this behaviour, but rather to allow one to acknowledge their triggers and deal with them as and when they are ready for it. unprompted discussion could induce higher distress, which keeps their stress cues active for longer and it would take longer for them to heal themselves than just giving a heads up. it's all about preparedness for the situation, which is why you're correct in stating that exposure therapy is effective although flooding (direct exposure to the stimulus, as you suggest) is not as successful as gradual systematic desensitisation. flooding can often not work, make it worse or, later down the line, the person has a much higher chance of relapsing than with gradual exposure therapy, which is why, i would argue, that a simple "trigger warning" would be helpful in aiding those who deal with trauma and it's aftermath to heal and function online with ease. plus it's not that hard to put "tw: death and abuse" and it's extremely invalidating to trauma victims to call them kindergartenders :// there no need to say such a thing over an album lore discussion video, which the creator put a lot of effort into (and did an excellent job)!
@@jynxital After thinking upon this and your response, I apologize for my initial comment. It was closed-minded and judgmental of me to just not want to watch further because of this. I appreciate your explanation, because I really see now what you were doing here. So once again I apologize to you and anyone who may have read what I said, (I don't think the guys would have been very happy with it) I'm.I look forward to watching your video.

Oh wow thank you! I hope so too cause this lore is genuinely one of my favorite pieces.
Could the great fires be the reference to a nuke that the killjoys set up sometime in the cd. Bit extreme
