You are so honest and wonderful. I see that your visit in CZ has deep meaning. If you really feel peace and happiness in Prague or Czech republic, perhaps good move is to move from LA there. I am from Prague and I currently live in LA (past 4 years) and I know exactly what you mean by different priorities of the two cultures. I miss the life in Europe so much, I am moving from LA after winter. American life is too hectic for me and the values are very materialistic and success-driven. But success does not necessarily mean happiness. Happiness comes from the small everyday joys of life❤️
Don't worry. As long as you follow your heart, you can't go wrong. A cliche but it's true. I've been living in Prague for 4 years now and that wasn't my original plan, but I still love it, so I'm staying. :)
I was going through something similar two years ago. I was in college studying something that didn't really make much sense to me, in a country I hated and I had absolutely no idea what I wanted in life. I also had some people pass away in my family at the time and it all kind of came to a point where I had to chose between putting a lot of effort into staying in college or dropping out. I chose the easier option and dropped out. I got a job and just sort of thought about different things for a year. I really understand how you feel. Anyway, I came to the conclusion that I would never be happy in a corporate 9-5 job that conveyed no meaning, so I re-applied and now finally study something that really fulfills me. At the time I wasn't really sure whether that was the right choice, but now I am. Honestly, I think you should just go for whatever your heart tells you. It's not like you'll be stuck in Prague for the rest of your life if it doesn't work out. So what? LA will still be there. I'm also pretty sure you can do graphic design remotely. BTW you can now get Czech citizenship extremely easily as a descendant of Czech/Czechloslovak citizen, so definitely do get that so you're not limited by the 90 days rule. Oh and I love your voice.
"Klobouk dolu" as we say in Czech. Its not easy to be honest to yourself nor to be honest to rest of the "world". Even tho it can be challanging, all I hope is, that you will love Czech republic and people will treat you kindly, so you can enjoy every minute which you spend there. Big thumbs up from me!!
I was in a similar situation, and the best tip I can give you is: if you have the opportunity, try to learn and experience new things, always. I didn't regret it personally. If you have the opportunity to live abroad (even better, if you know some or most of the language), try it and time will show you, where your home is - it is where the heart is too. You will have broader view, new experience and the best is - you can always chose to return, but you will not leave all the new experience behind.
My deepest condolences. Very moving words. This puts your trip videos on a whole new level. You did the right thing coming to The Czech Rep.! I wonder how many people just lost contact with their European families after moving to America...And I would encourage you to follow your feelings in your decisions for the future. Moving to another country, even continent, can be scary and stressfull, but hey, you got your family here! And also us subscribers to support you and feel welcome ;). Let us know if you come back to Central Europe.
So... ok, firstly, sorry for my rusty English. Haven't used it much in years and I'm self-taught in the first place. Secondly, I don't know why youtube recommended me this video since I've never seen any of your videos so at this moment I have absolutely no idea who you are. But! You pouring your heart out kind of moved me lol. I don't know if you'll ever read this and if so, if it helps you at all, but I kinda have to say it anyways. Thirdly, sorry for an extremely long comment. At least some random people will never read it lol. I've never been to LA and I probably never will be, but I've visited the East Coast many years ago, spent my two months there and it's definitely 100% true that we in the CZ live differently than Americans. I'm in my thirties now so I'm probably getting old but for all the countries I've been to and even lived in, I will say the Czech republic is still the best. Closest to my heart. I love the tempo, the pace of life here. When I was 28-ish I had a choice to make - either stay in a different country and make shit ton of money or go back to my homeland and make less money in a completely different field. They say people should follow their heart and I so decided to restart my life here, forgetting everything I learned abroad and hoping I'll be able to start anew. Well, it's been tough but I have no regrets now. I learned the hard way that no matter my choice, I should never have any regrets. So... Spend your 90 days here. Then follow your heart. Never have any regrets. Czech republic has its flaws and you can't see them in two weeks. But in my opinion it's still the best country to live in. Enjoy your stay here. I love your accent by the way.

JANA,you MUST!!! see this channel ua-cam.com/channels/t7oj318jVQi7vRbc1bNjJA.html ,you will enjoy your trip-living in the Prague on 100%.
do what your heart wants ♥️
Hi Jana,
I like it when you show emotions. ;)
Thank you for sharing Jana. Just think about those who love you, and those and what you love. Your decision will be always right, if you decide with that on your mind. If you pick US(A), Czech republic will be there and probably stil the same in the future. If you pick Czech repulic, the guys in here will be cheering, that nice, good and pretty girl decided to live among us. And USA will be still there.
Hey girl your doing great by following your gut and returning as a czech american who moved back to prague for similar reasons including reconnecting to my roots if you end up in praha i would love to get a cup of coffee and chat. Keep following your gut and all doors that need to open will open.
AWESOME!!! I remember the meet-up all the time. It was one of the best days in my life. I hope you're enjoying this trip and wish you to find your path soon. LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!
🙏🏻❤️
love the vlogs !!!
8:35 I can't define them either and I have been living here for 32 years :)
Ahoj.
I think I have idea, but I dont know if it can works. You would work for some US company as a designer but in Czech (on their czech outpost) so you will sometimes fly in US but live in Czech
Sorry for the lost! 2 minutes daily short videos will be the boost. Friends are important part of your videos. More Czech stuff and traveling.
Ty jo ty si byla na Vranově? To vědět tak Vas všechny pozvu k sobě domů ☺️..tak snad příště 😊
Me hearing you saying czech words, castles names, cities makes me think that its even better in english than czech :D
Ahoj, posílám pozdrav ze Znojma!👋😊
Ok
As a Czech I'd like to ask you: 'Would you consider using Czechia? Pretty please... :-]'
Please no :-D
nikdy
@@FlourEater well, if I remember correctly she said: 'when I was in Czech' for crying out loud what poor Czech she was into? :-] Much better if she just used Czechia /Slovakia, Austria etc. no?/ when Czech republic was too long in her speech to use...that was my reason to propose it in the first place...
@@petrsumbera8567 Czechia just sounds so bad. And it was accepted mainly for sport events / competitions. It´s not the name of the country and I find it demeaning to us. Czech Republic sounds royal, noble.
It is so easy, You have to pay back Your home, or be a homeless... that is what we trying here... that is goal of our lifes... pay back, have some family and enjoy the rest of the day... quite easy...
Yeeees. You had a lot of wine and now you want to stay in the Czech Republic 😁 you're a real czech girl 😂
The two events are separate 😂
Oh It would be perfect if you interact with some famous czech youtubers and make a video with them!
If you “want” to stay in the EU, forever, there is a way....
Jana, where is your Patreon? I haven´t found it ;-)
When I reach 50,000 I’ll announce it. Thank you for your support!
will be some meeting with you?
nice
Have you ever thought about getting Czech citizenship? It would help you that you could spend some time here whenever you want :) Czech government pass a new bill that would help you to get Czech citizenship easier.
Winter is coming. Will be more and more cold. Be prepared for czech fall! :)
Znojmo 👍👍
Just check this link. I thik you will find some useful information about stay permit as you are not usual foreign but one with the Czech roots.

Jana, i'm so interested with your video before, it's about Australian accent and New Zealand accent. That's my first video on your UA-cam. By the way i'm from Malaysia. whats your Instagram?
Prosím pojď do Česka moc krásný stat
I am from slovakia :)
Česky to mluv a budeš mít 100x více like. USA moc konkurence. V Čechách tě budeme milovat. Anglickýho blábolení je plně net 😉
Big fan of urs editing way do u do by yourself and yeah that's a problem of every millennium
Noooo too late to be the first !!! 😭
I wish You to make the best decision for You :)
First yey. No one cares I know :-D
Edit: I knew you liked it here in czech and thats why you came back! :-) And about the "designer in LA or youtuber in Czech" cant you just work online as designer? Then it would not matter where in the world you are.
organize some party next time in middle europe (fist thing come to my mind, just as comment for yt rating :D)
Dobrý den, zde v Čechách je život krásný, bezpečný.
CZ speek Please
I love you ~~~~.
Los Angeles will always be there. You know you want to be in Praha right now 😊
Kdo to překládá? Tady gramatika dostává řádně na pozadí. Někde borce jmenovala, ale chce to někoho lepšího.
Brno
je to moc pěné, ale když umíš trochu česky,mluv...hodně lidí uděláš radost
I love you
New law on Czech citizenship- it should be relatively easy for you to get the citizenship as a daughter of Czech citizens(even in case they both lost their citizenship in the process of naturalization as US-citizens). Czech passport will give you all the privileges in all of the EU countries as well, And dual citizenship is problem neither for US or CZ. Hire a lawyer and organize it:

Second
every youtuber has same way, we can describe that in 3 points. 1- To making a lot of videos,
2-to create Patreon and the last one is to make own Merch. That´s all. This way doesn´t have more opportunities. Do u want that? Is the real life? I don´t think so. But... u know just my opinion . I guess, I will get many thubs down for this report.
🙄
Study in the USA if you have the money and study stay in the Czech Republic. Then work anywhere.
girlie, you cannot understand the culture in few days as a tourist. Also, many things are sold as virtue, but in reality the are just options-left. For kids in Nigeria, small things are important as well. My take: go2 L.A. and do design.
I mean she is not a tourist. Her mom was born in this country and much of her family still lives here. I totaly understand her. It is hard to choose between country where she was raised or country where her mother originated from.
@@petrsebik she's Americana. She thinks American, she lives American, she dreams American. Her mother brought her these opportunities ans she is the 1st generation to use it as a true American.
Jana, please, you say Czech Republic or Bohemia not only Czech
so you should find a czech man and marry him and then you can stay more than 90 days :)
I'm from Znojmo. Lol
