@@chrisfix did you use your phone to record before? I mean long time ago lol
@@Gliw0306 Feels way good for a phone in 2010 so I’m guessing he’s using a stand alone camera.
Yep
I visit this video to remind me how far chrisfix editing has changed Soo much! Wow
His editing improved drastically, but his way of speaking and showing people how to do it never changed.
Showing close ups and what to remove and what tools to use. True Legend Chris!
Whoa old school. Keep up the good work Chris!
NegrosVideos 👏👏👏🍻👍👏👏😀

@@ESF19791111 2022
You posted this in 2010 and now its 2020.
Compared to your most recent videos I would call this "Evolution at its finest"
Good job.
Chrisfix's first ever how to video
Wow this guy is a good “how to” you tuber since 2012!
Been the goal since the start!
@Wevsvet Thanks... I used a tripod for some shots and I just used my hands for the other shots... Figured since I was changing out the water pump I would make a video on how to do it!
ChrisFix I have been having electrical problems with my 2009 Chevy impala. What should i do?
And this is how your channel was born.
is this the first time 'wooder' was heard on the channel looool GOGOGO TEAM CHRISFIX loving the endurance racing.
I'm amazed you were able to get this done without removing the fan shroud and radiator. They really pack the stuff in tight in the Vette and the F bodies. I'm about to tackle my second water pump replacement on my 96 Formula. 170000 miles and going strong. Can't bring myself to give her up. Taught all three sons to drive in that car. Thanks for the video. It was a good memorie refresher.
Man this is hilarious. So I actually worked on my geo metro once loony before I just redid all my brakes solely due to the fact of chrisfix, but before what I did replace.... was the water pump!! Your first video. I bet you were as proud as I was too, saving that money!
Haha, old school ChrisFix! I was pretty excited back then when I was saving money like this :p
@@chrisfixIt's truly a great feeling!
It’s good watching Chris in the old times :)
I've been watching your channel for a few years now. Just now stumbling upon these corvette vids. Good Stuff! Congrats on the 1,000,000 viewers.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate all the long term support!
Hey chris I did it thanks to you I followed your instructions and put a brand new water pump on my z28 thanks man, keep those videos coming
darksider210 Awesome man! Thanks for letting me know! I love hearing success stories! New how to videos every Thursday and a potential bonus video on Mondays!

Wow! Man your still killing it! Has to be one of the best mechanic on youtube!
It’s amazing how times and technology have evolved in the last 10years. Keep it up Chris.
Ah, back in the 480p days of youtube, Chris's videos have come a long way, best car channels ever
13 years later, and ChrisFix is still fixing, I was like what 9, I discovered this channel, and even though I don't have a car, it's interesting how a car works under the hood, will you make a video about a motorcycle as a special if you hit a mile stone?
Probably not, unfortunately motorcycles are too dangerous to ride where I live
@@chrisfix oh cool
Holy Smokes! Chrisfix in his young and inoncent times.Keep up the good work!!!
Haha right?!
Your productions has really improved over the years. this one is good but your newer ones show great improvement. thanks for the videos.
Well now you are an expert! Im glad the video helped otherwise and you saved some money (as well as did it correctly compared to a mechanic lol)... Torch red is one of the best Vette colors!!!
That was an excellent " Wudder " Pump replacement video! Youve got a Great attitude when you work on cars .
I love it !
Chris has been doing this for a decade!!!! That's insane
his voice has not changed that much
your a legend

@@chrisfix when will you upload ??
Chris thanks to you I save a lot of money fixing my own car and with the money I been save finally I gonna go to the mechanic school I know you not gonna read my comment it I’m really grateful for your videos
first time he did a voice over and after ten years he is still killing it
Getting ready to change the water pump on my 93 TA with the LT1. Looks very similar under the hood, hopefully will go as smooth! Thanks for posting this.
try a few things: one would be to take the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator (you can check out my fuel pressure regulator video for that one). Run it and see if it still misses. Make sure the vacuum line doesnt smell like gas. The other thing to do is at night, take a spray bottle filled with water and spray the spark plug wires and see if you see little sparks. The car should be running as you do this. If you see sparks, then you need new plugs and wires! Let me know if that helps!
Omg even tho ur like 18-19 u still sound the same. That’s so great Chris. I hope that you live a super happy life man! You deserve it! 🙏
I’ve always watched your videos for fun and this is like the first time I get to use one of these videos, 1994 camaro z28
Great job Chris ! very informative and I like the way you told the sizes of sockets needed to do the repair. You are a CLASS ACT !
Coming from the changing my dad's wooder pump video 🤙🤙 i gotta say a huge and amazing growth in everything on a 10 year scale !!! keep it up Chris !❤
I like how his voice sounds exactly the same between the one from 6 days ago (3-6-2020) and this one, but the old Chris is s bit more shy.
Good Chris.
Old school ChrisFix! Haha, I wasn't as excited to film back then as I was now!
Chris love your videos and I'm thankful. I'm glad you made this one for later this spring when i replace my Roadmaster waterpump. I'm also replacing the optispark, plugs and wires and flush the coolant.
Doomzdayxx Awesome! I am glad the video was helpful! It is good to replace the seals as well when you change the waterpump and optispark!
Wow Chris. You have come a long way! Keep it going man!
The first how to video
No prob!!! Im glad it helped you out!!! Its a good feeling when its all done!!!
Sorry about this being an old video that I'm asking you this. I'm going back and watching all of your old videos. Where did you come by all of your skills? You explain everything to where everyone can understand everything.
Your voice has changed over the years you’ve created your channel ps I love your videos.❤❤❤
First how to video of Chrisfix
Nothing like watching some early Chris Fix videos.
The first dIY/common hand tool video. Chrifix keep up the good work👍🙏
u came along way keep up the good work
Very nice Chris. I REALLY appreciate your instruction videos.Helped me a lot with my '95 C4 water pump replacement today. Heck, I think I remember a video you made sometime back that helped me solve my C4 rear end clunk. Again many thanks. This time I subscribed to your channel, and I'm at least twice your age.
I am here to see your old lesson you are perfect
You even got Prince's "Red Corvette" to play while you were testing the new water pump. Nice! : )
Came to see how it was 7 years ago... So different that what is in 2020! Super cool to see the difference.
Yes...I didn't know about the part, because I have never done any kind of work on any car myself..but after watching your video, it seemed easy enough so I thought I would give it a try..After I replaced the coupler, and got all the wires hooked back up, the car runs GREAT...and best of all...I know I saved hundreds of dollars too!!!..Thanks for the video..My Vette is red also..you will see it when I change my pic..:)
Its been 8 years of videos 👏👏👏👏👏 u r the best chris ❤❤
Wow, I wasn't expecting to see a Chrisfix a video for this lol. I'm going to look at one on Monday. Possibly trade my Crown Vic for it
Love to see how far you have progressed
A legend like you has been born
Yea, I think you are right... My buddy's Vette had the same problem.
amazing, I love how your channel has evolved over the years!
Nice use of Rammstein's "Zwitter" as the intro music.
Thank you. I’m in the midst of preparing everything for pump install. 😊
This vid blows my mind on how Chrisfix Improved
Haha it's insane!
No prob man! I love the admiral blue! Yea, the opti is just another few steps but if you have the waterpump off, it's not that bad! Good luck!
Great! Glad you saved some money!!!!
Wonder if you knew you would be doing these types of videos over 10 years later? Great job and info. Saw on a video that you still had this car.
Ah old youtube is so peaceful. People talk calmly. It's therapeutic.
Local mechanics would not touch my 93 vette water pump or wanted $800.00. Thanks to your video I replaced it myself. Thanks!
Damn you were a teacher since the very beginning you’ve actually kinda inspired me to be a car boii highkey wanna be a mechanic but my area don’t need any it’s like a mini Detroit here
I have a 94 bird that needs the water pump done totally wasn't expecting there to be a video on this by chris fix loll
Oh chrisfix how you have evolved lol
@Feenyxxx95 Hey, from the factory it has had Dexcool and its GM recommended to use dexcool... I have no problems at all... The problems happen when you mix dexcool with the green stuff! Hope this helps!
First how to video starting here and watching everyone of the how to's 2018 will be a great year
Just put new radiator in, drove it twice and now leaking under the water pump. I'm assuming no hoses down that way but this video is a big help. Probably going to have to change the water pump now, have a 95 6 speed with 80k miles, it was bone stock prior to radiator and now water pump. With that 180 thermo your still getting to roughly 228 in traffic and then when driving about 30mph you go to 215 or so and highway she runs down high 190s to low 200s? Curious about that. Also was that thermostat on top or bottom, couldn't tell. Ty for the video again
@ Mr Vulcan. I also own a 1996 formula. Mine is white with t tops and 101,000 miles. I have had it for 2 years. I have been making some repairs on it lately. But it is a fun car. The new crime rims on it updated the look. People are surprised when I tell them it is a 1996.
The video is helpful thanks. It should make my job easier.
before the HEY GUYS CHRISFIX HERE!!!
Man, how the channel has grown!
The beginning of the video shows how I knew lol... It was leaking though the weep-hole and I lost power steering because the belt would slip since it leaked on the belt. The waterpump itself was under $200 and the blades are fine. They rarely go bad and are made of aluminum so it wont rust.... I would use the stock thermostat (190F)
Woah, this video is really techy!
A legend was born..
Is this the video that stated it all? I've been following you for 3 year or more and love your videos and I was just wondering 😅
Best mechanic youtuber
Dear ChrisFix , I love this video for 2 reasons and I am only 4 seconds into it. reason 1: RAMMSTEIN!!!, and reason 2: it's a LT1 / LT4 video. Please if you can do more LT1/LT4 videos because they're kinda unique, but if not it's ok because that's a pretty small viewer group.
Sorry you didnt realize (and I didnt say) that the coupler was needed to engage the waterpump shaft to the cam... I added it in as an annotation... At 7:03 you can clearly see the coupler on the shaft that connects the cam... I assumed that you would recognize the coupler comes off and is needed for the new waterpump but thanks for letting me know it is not so obvious. Does my annotation clear it up?
THANKS... AAAAAAGAAAIINNNNN!! THIS DUDE RULES,, HE SEEMS TO COVER ALMOST EVERYTHING I HAVE TO DO
You’ve come a long way since then
Nicely done sir. Saved the video as I am doing this as a preventative item since I am flushing the coolant anyway.
no prob... if things start getting frustrated, take a nice brake!
Great video, man! Replaced the thermostat in my 95 Buick 5.7L today hoping that was it. No such luck. Think I'll just drink beer tonight then slap this rebuilt pump on tomorrow. lol.
Mister Gupton Thanks! Good luck with the water pump replacement! It is pretty easy!
It is simple. You just fill it up half water half coolant... Not hard at all... Fill the radiator, let it run with the radiator cap off, turn the heat on, and if there is air, bleed it from the bleeder valve on the waterpump...
Good video...you did a helluva job on these right from the get-go Chris.
The start of tutorial videos of fixing cars 12 years later
Thanks for posting this, I'm going to do my '96 this weekend!
This is a big help doing my 97 z28 lt1 this weekend ,hope it goes as smooth as your installation
darksider210 Great! Let me know how it goes. There is plenty of room to work and now you know what to look for!
