I would agree with you about a Ryan Gosling Oscar if OPPENHEIMER and KILLERS OF THE FLOWER. MOON were not in competition. I do believe it has a shot with the Academy for Production Design, Costumes, and perhaps Original Screenplay.

It’s a shame that they don’t appreciate comedic acting the way they do dramatic. His acting in this was incredible, everything from the way he moved to the overdramatic facial expressions.
I think they’re definitely going to win for production design, I think Billie Eilish will probably win for best song because the Academy loves her. But I truly believe that I’m just Ken deserves the award. Mark Ronson really knocked it out of the park with this song!
It Has to be nominated for best film because they just can’t deny the numbers $$$ and it’s a great film!
Top gun was nominated last year … if they can get a nomination, Barbie deserves one!
Part of me wants to be optimistic and say after last year maybe the Academy is opening their minds to other types of films with EEAAO win. But I’m a realist and I know killers of the flower moon is probably going to win, And they are probably going to deserve it.
Also, Margot Robbie was great but I am 100% convinced it will and should go to Lily Gladstone.
The one thing I am holding out for is a live performance of I’m just Ken on the award stage! I hope Ryan does it and I hope the other Kens are there!!

Anywhere else he is closer to a twenty and it isn't just because of his looks, he is a super human being.
I just saw a recent interview for the awards season and Ryan is suggesting you rewatch the Dance Battle Scene to watch Kingsley Ben-Adir. He is the guy who gives Ryan the coat and he is so cute.
If you are going to see the film at the cinema don't react to it first. Enjoy the whole experience at the cinema.
