All you boys have properly ID's the Bluegrass Boys line-up in this Grand Ol' Opry video and that band was, yet again, another one of Bill's best. Also, a great number.

I remember the sad day that Kenny quit Bill, I have the cassette recording somewhere of Bill telling about it, so Jim Brock filled in for Kenny that night at Lawrence Mill Opry, sad day for me, loved the show but Kenny was why i was there !

My grandmother's neighbor in North Carolina has 10 children. One for who whooping cough and spread it to the others. All the children died.
I asked my grandmother what they did after that. With her deep Carolina accent, she said, "They just kept on going."

It seems to me that bluegrass music has changed for the worse like country music has. I listen to the bluegrass channel on XM radio. The new guys can pick but it just aint the same at all. I love the traditional bluegrass, just like I love the traditional country and western, if that makes any sense.

+jomcg50 Thanks! I should have known that! I just read his biography -- what a career! Funny thing turns out he was born in Russell Co., VA. I think that I've seen him on a lot on many of the early Cumberland Highlanders videos from Jerusalem Ridge which I why I asked the question. Thanks for some great videos.
