Tyler Bouque, a sophomore at Troy High School, composed Love Speaks especially for the Troy High School Symphonic Band. Love Speaks is a symphonic tribute to the incredible life of Jacob Joel Love, a former Troy High student who passed away in 2009. Love Speaks follows Jake's life and his inspirational story across five movements, beginning with his first moments, all the way through the final few days in his battle against aplastic anemia. As the piece closes, we are left with a reminder to carry Jake's story in our hearts to honor his memory, and to face our hardships with the same strength and courage that Jake kept every step of the way. - TJ Bouque
