    Last time I went to NOLA with my fiancé, our Uber driver recommended a bruch spot called Ruby Slipper. Absolute MUST if you ever return!

      There are several of those scattered around town - aren't worth the wait you'll typically have to suffer through.

      Thank you so much, yes, we do that intentionally as we feel like other channels do not do that. I’m really happy that helps you out in your future planning for your trip 😊

    This is a great video. My husband and I are going to NOLA for the first time at the end of January '24. We are foodies and really looking forward to finding great places to eat that are not to touristy.

    Thanks for a great video of my hometown. I'm sure that someone's told you by now that the Church is St. Louis Cathedral. Regarding the streetcars, the green car runs down St. Charles and partially up Carrollton. The red cars will either take you along the riverfront area or go uptown towards the cemeteries or City Park.

      Thank you we were wondering that! What a great transpiration service the city offers. I’m glad you enjoyed our video, thanks for the comment 😊

      @@TheCompleteCouple You're welcome. It looks like y'all had a great time there. The St.Charles streetcar is my favorite. If either one of you like martinis, take the streetcar and get off at Washington Avenue. Walk 2 blocks to Commander's Palace for 25 cent martini lunches. 😎

    Get out of the Quarter - both the boat rides and French Mkt. are massive tourist traps. Just avoid them and certainly don't eat there. The best place for breweries is in the Irish Channel area. Music - Frenchmen St. Lots of great bars & restaurants in the Marigny & Bywater. Beignets - Cafe Beignet is just as good as Cafe du Monde and NOT full of tourists.

    Is it worth it staying in French quarter or i can stay at canopy hotel 8-10 min walk to everything

    • @TheCompleteCouple
      @TheCompleteCouple  11 місяців тому

      We enjoyed staying around the French quarter. However, everything is very walkable so you will probably be fine doing that! If walking a lot doesn’t bother you 😊

    Overall, the food looked ok but why didn’t you guys get local creole food?

    • @TheCompleteCouple
      @TheCompleteCouple  10 місяців тому

      Great question! Carson is not really a fan of that flavor profile / spicy food and I’m not very big into seafood. So the combination for us it wasn’t exactly what we were leaning towards

    You go to New Orleans for Cajun food
    You can get Italian at home 😂❤
    Great video though

      I’m only a quarter into this video and realize it’s a generational thing. All these contemporary restaurants. I’m in my 60s and going back to New Orleans in a couple of months. Brennan’s, Commanders Palace, Galatoire’s, Arnauds, Antiones, Restaurant August. I’m going to eat all the creole food I can in four days! I’m bringing my 30 old daughter she’s probably going to hate it lol.

    This is the lamest food experience of New Orleans I’ve ever seen. AVOCADO TOAST AND PIZZA AND BLT and ARUGULA IN NEW ORLEANS… terrible

      Sorry that offends you, we’re not big into creole, seafood or spicy. Italian is our favorite
