I wish i had seen this in June. My friend gave me a rescued chick. She lived in my laundry basket but was getting to big too fast. She went to live on my friend's farm.

It's a cute coop but My issue with them is sometimes I see people put way to many chickens in them. With that being said anyone that reads this don't over fill them.

How many silkies could the coop house with a extended yard
With the extension it could hold 6 comfortably.

What happened with the playhouse coop? We are going to try one soon.
It’s sitting for the moment but it’s still happening! Hoping to have it done by the end of May. We’ve had lots of other infrastructure projects to get completed.

Is this chicken coop good for keeping out predators?
It has good hardware cloth, but I would recommend this coop being inside another run that has hardware cloth as well and is buried a foot out from the base to keep predators from digging under. If you have a high predator area.
All of that said, we’ve used this standalone for more than a year with no issues, but we’ve never had a predator mess with a coop, they wait for when our main flock is free ranging to strike.
