Hello! I have one iphone purchased in India before I came to Canada and I have purchased one here and have been using it. If I take them both back to India, will I have to pay custom duty on the one purchased in Canada? Not looking for a trick but wanted to know what’s the actual law, considering both my phones are for personal use.

Nope…, if you are using both phones 📱 you don’t have to pay anything. I always carry 2 iPhones one for personal use and one for browsing. Just tell them the same.

Can I do the same with a pair of shoes? My relative travels to the US very often I wanted to get a pair of shoes which are not available in India. How can I avoid paying customs ?
Shoes is the same as phone, don't bring box and if u have bill bring it in pocket, else u can keep shoes in the bag, they won't care about shoes if it's unboxed

They will scan the check in bag and ask you where are the phones? Then you have to come up with something so that they will believe the phones are for personal use.

While buying an iPhone from USA, the billing name should be the buyer's name or it can be in our name.? Also can u please Tell us about how to claim warranty in India if there is any issue with the product we bought from USA.
It should be buyers name. I am not sure about warranty but usually nothing happens to phone
iPhones will have worldwide warranty, so need not worry about that.
If we do not carry the box to India and leave the empty box in US, then do we need to activate the iPhone in US before bringing in to India to avoid customs.
I'm doubtful about the activation as some youtubers say that iPhone activated in US don't work in India.
Please tell as my friend is bringing iPhone for me from US next month.
