I also think that whenever someone continues to call debate partner gay. Like you're calling rod gay over and over. And of course he's not gay, but if he was gay why would you call him that or why would you even make fun of him for being gay when in your world gay is just as good as heterosexual? It's like calling the sky blue or calling the sky white or yellow. They're all good colors they're all equal in the sky at different times. In your world gay is just fine so you're calling rod okay, fine, perfect.
The people on the left do that a lot to the people on the right. They accuse them in a weird joking sense of being closeted homosexuals. And let's say they were you would be guilty of bullying them and also your whole foundation of an argument wouldn't make any sense. Because you argue that being gay is perfectly fine so then you're making fun of someone for being perfectly fine. I mean it's obvious that you and your crowd understand that homosexuality is not perfectly fine because then you wouldn't find anything humorous about it. I can listen to this whole video and it doesn't get me angry it just gets me agitated and confused. Because you support homosexuality but yet your opponent you're going to degrade him by calling him a closeted gay man. It doesn't make any sense philosophically.
They're not making fun of him for being closeted gay. That's not the issue. There's nothing wrong with Jerry Falwell Jr being a cuck kink guy or Rod being gay. It's their absolute obsession with making other people follow their rules that they don't follow. It's also the lack of self awareness and the absolute psychological weirdness of it all. It's hilarious to hear people preach to everyone else while telling us how they really feel on accident.

Most people never even heard of Rod Dreher. There are lots of names and bigger names that preach out against homosexuality. The road goes two ways- I don't know why I have to follow other's rules I don't believe in. I don't know why the Army is giving me transgender training- explaining how a man with a vulva is a man and will be assigned to the male private facilities. I don't know why Home Depot is showing me training videos of a man in a dress and telling me I will be sued if I question this. The ship, this ship we are all on..and have to live on, has a host of people doing their own thing. If I see someone drilling a hole into the ship and I ask why, they may say, "because this is what is best for my life." I think, "oh boy" and we all get to drown soon.
So , I still don’t see a way to work this out. We have to have a society that has some basic beliefs. We’re going to have a country where half the populace things a lifestyle is immoral, depraved and wrong to teach children, and the other half believe it’s just as moral as anything else, is love, and must be taught to all children. How will this work? It won’t. Doesn’t anyone see, this won’t work.
I think Rod and his book, how I found out about him, is written for Christians, not for atheists or people of other religious beliefs. He’s not getting into politics to change laws to force his Christian views (and these are views all religious have held) on others, however.

I like people who can make good arguments but you can't be a stand-up comedian and then also try to be a stoic philosopher as well. You either come across as one or the other. And when I want stand up comedy I look for something else not these modern social political sexuality ideological jokes.
There a re a lot of non-Abrahamic religions that are fine with homosexuality. Sects of Hinduism, Buddhism, African religions, and Native American religions to name a few examples.
@@Some_Average_Joe I did try to look that up back in pre 2015 gay marriage debate dates. I asked the internet what Gandhi thought of homosexuality. No data, or if there was it was negative. Gandhi promoted disconnecting oneself from sex actually, so i doubt he would have accepted this.
i mean you say "sects"/ yes there are also christian sects that approve gay marriage. methodist, lutherant, episcopal, etc. sects. they are divided themselves. the more progressive and more traditional sect. it's not right. the cut themselves in half.
i would be willing, if i knew how, to study hindu buddhist religions to check this theory. going on, i'm biased already, because i belive strongly the mainstream of all spiritual teachings of the past Never allowed an approval of same sex relations in the bedroom context. african religions i think you'd be right, but i will not count them, prejudiced i may be. native americans, i'm siding with No. Today some tribes indeed have gone that way. I'm looking at the historical context. Like when the White man came here.. I don't think tribes allowed same sex couples. Again, you aren't wrong, I'm referencing my guess that the mainstream tribes did not. Certain pockets of hindus and buddhists and natives went out and did their own thing. I'm not counting them as anything but a fringe. I may be wrong for that.

All this pro-gay ideology started in the West, did it not? Africa does not h ave many gay marriage countries? Very few. America and W Europe has it---which are "Christian" countries. It's humorous to me. However, it's an easy argument. The West, like us, have divorced ourselves from Christianity. We no longer care about those old books (unless we find things that support one of lifestyles/viewpoints). People use budd/hindu I think, and mix it with a West Coast flair update, and convince others it accepts these alternative lifetyles. I never thought it did however.
I saw a story of how buddhist monks threw a gay monk into a river. It was more a parable, not a real story, or not in present times. It was a warning, I was thinking.
You'd tell me I should take a college course on buddhism etc. But then again the times of non-biased teaching is behind us. Surely the prof will teach the class buddhism is accepting of this. i'd challenge and say buddhism tells to give up desires, though. we'd go round and round. i'd need an impartial prof. ain't gonna happen in this day, with that subject matter.

@@utkarsh2746 Yes those temple scultures are interesting- showing homosexuality. I wonder why India/Hinduism doesn't speak more about this. They do not go out of their way to make a big deal about it and affirm it, to even strike down people who disagree, as we have done in the West. They seem more netural, which was how America used to be about it all.
I think reading about practices in medieveal era india may take up a lot of my time. I'll look at it.
