Hey Erik, awesome Video as always! What are your thoughts on the Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength?

I’ve not had the CS version. But if it is better that the regular Sanaig it must be great!

Thanks for always making the reviews interesting and technical at the same time. Could you share your methodology for grading the whisky’s?

Great review, fun video! Your WOW after tasting the Tomatin was one of your best comments.

For my part, I'd nominate Benromach's vintage releases. If you want cask strength and that sort of industrial funk, but Springbank 12 CS isn't an option (and let's face it: it isn't for most people), then Benromach is a great option.
Glen Scotia Victoriana is another good one, but I'm not entirely sure it's cask strength.

Hey Erik, awesome Video as always! What are your thoughts on the Highland Park the Cask Strength Release editions? They have 4 Releases until now, around 80-90 euro a bottle.

Have you tried the Powers John's Lane Cask Strength? It's really good.

Erik, you get one pre dinner and one post dinner Christmas day dram- what would you choose for each from your collection? Assume a traditional meal with turkey or ham or nice cut of beef and mashed potatoes and salad and some sort of pie or dedacant cake for dessert. Would be very interested what you choose for Christmas evening drams.

Great addition to the initial list!
Not necessarily widely available and/or inexpensive, but if you can find them for a reasonable price, grab them:
    - Arran 12 CS (long discontinued but well worth the hunt)
    - Kavalan Solist line
    - Amrut Portonova & Intermediate Sherry
    - Paul John Classic & Peated
    - Scallywag 12 CS
    - Glenlivet Nadurra 16 (it used to come with a 16-yr age statement)
    Fairly available at reasonable prices:
    - JDSBBP
    - Maker’s Mark 46 CS

for Tomatin, for my it benefits being left opened for 6 months before really getting into.

Fun list and nice insights. Have only tried Bunna CS and Aberlour out of these. Love em both, especially the Bunna. Let me ask something. You say "Alcohol by volume" every single time after Alcohol %. Are you under the impression that american viewers will misinterpret "Alcohol %" to mean alcohol in the actual glass container and not the liquid if you don't say the extra three words every time? Cheers

My favourite available Cask Strength whiskies are: Laphroaig 10 CS, Highland Park CS, Ardbeg Corryvreckan. I also like Benromach cask strength, altough I don't connect to it yet (it is too perfect for me, too delicious, I do not know why it is not one of my favourites.)
