if the skis pivot is for hardpack snow if you want to do deep powder the skis or snowboard (which are better for powder) can't pivot but remain rigid / fixed...I have tried this many different ways that is the rule...so far.
I'm going to be building my own bike. I found some brackets that should work great. Do I need to have the skis pivot on the axles? I'd rather them be fixed and rigid, it's just easier to do this. I don't care about jumping. So will it be ok for just carving downhill on hard pack snow? The bike is full suspension. Thanks.
I live in NY and a resort close to me in NJ Called Mountain Creek wont let me use my home made Ski bike on the slope only will let a Snogo said no DIY snow bikes thank you for some great ideas helped with my build be well!
Hi, can you please tell me how long are your skis? Because i made ski bike from old ski so I need for cut measure.. Sorry for bad english it is not my language. :/

sick... ordering the kit this week! thank you.!

I order 2 of your kit and it awesome.i just had a rétention système and its perfection
If I were to take these off some jumps would the bracket and axle handle the compression force from landing or have you not tested that yet?
The brackets are made from cold rolled steel and the hardware is grade 5 structural. I think your bike would brake before these brackets. Cheers
Have these been updated for boost axles? I have an old frame and some fattys that should pair well...
what keeps the skis from folding under if you get air ? springs ?
you can use some Bungie cord and tie it to the ski and frame
springs are better i think :)
Look online for retention systems
Hi bike theslopes ,just purchased your brackets any new updates on set up like springs to keep skis level when jumping
Awesome video, what size are the skis? Long and wide, at least an average, so I don't get to long skid.
Skis are between 90-100cm. Longer are faster. Look for some used ski blades they work great
@@biketheslopes thank you for the quick response.
what is the part that is connected to the skis, and where can I buy it.
Can I mount these directöy to the ski without making my own holes? Or do I have to drill in the ski or Steel?
You can just use a screwdriver to mount the brackets onto the skis. It is easier to just break the surface of the ski with a drill though
What are the dimensions of the steel triangles in cm? And how long should the rear ski and the front ski be?
14 cm height. For 26 inch mountain bike frames I recommend 100cm skis for more speed or 90 cm for less speed but better handling
These looks sick!
Does the axle pivot on bearings within the triangle bracket? Or just metal/metal contact
+snickers _j
Metal to metal. The axles are grade 5 structural steel and the tubing is DOM. Both very strong
would this fit on my large frame 29" specialized rockhopper?
If the front axle is not a through axle it will fit
Hi , also would 1 inch back of center be better for front ski ?
Are ski bike legal on the mountain slopes in canada ?
with the 125$ kit, it comes with the brackets and the pegs right?
Comes with brackets pegs and all mounting hardware
hello how long is the ski slat
Does the kit work with any bmxs or do all bmxs need a diff kit?
+basketballguy0810
Sorry does not work on BMX
Can I use a ski that was cut in half? Will it work good?
+Bill Headley
Hey Bill
you can cut down an old pair of skis and they will work OK. I would suggest a pair of kids skis or ski (snow) blades
Is there a pair that r cheap and will work really well
Zdravim.Tie center holders are you from what and how made?
I manufacture them. See the website for more info www.biketheslopes.ca
Looking at building my own conversion. What do you use for an axle? 8mm rod or 10?
I actually use 3/8 national fine thread grade 8(structural) threaded rod
do the bolts come with the ski to bike adapters?
Yes all hardware for mounting

+biketheslopes Thank you :)

Your ski bike looks great however most ski slopes do not allow homemade ski bikes
I have sold hundreds of these all over the world and no one has ever been refused access to any ski hill that allows ski bikes
Cheers
