They took care to have all the pink containers facing outward. 🤭 Cap San Diego was an unusually stylish cargo vessel when she was built, but she looks like a yacht compared with modern cargo ships doesn't she.
Immer wieder beeindruckend wie diese kleinen Schlepper diese riesen Schiffe umherschieben.
Looked like quite the party going on on the Cap San Diego.

This is the most beautiful container ship
The Hamburg river must be really deep to accommodate ships this large.
Maximum ship's draft is 13m, they make the river already deeper. This big ships cant go to Hamburg fully loaded, because they have 16m
It takes a lot of dredging
I like when they have the containers the same color as the vessel 😊. The drapes match the carpet.

sind an dem Tag de Einlaufens hier in Hollern für eine Woche angekommen und haben so diese Schiff verpasst. Gestern Abend dann im Restaurant Fährhaus Twielenfleth sahen wir einmal eine Maersk Line auch 398 m lang und der folgend die LNG powered CMA-CMG die Elbe hochkommen. Als Rheinanwohner aus Köln, Schiffe gewohnt, aber das sind schon gewaltige Pötte

Nice colour, do the lifeboats get lowered down or do they just drop from that huge height.? It's massive, no wonder they lose containers 🇦🇺

So it's only half loaded , pink containers are mostly for show and empty . Water line is quite high and the question is when we'll reach the point of too much capacity and some of these ships will be useless .
Under normal voyage circumstances rhwre wouldnt be that full amount of ONE containers on show, on deck, ONE is a lool of shipping lines, all the other shippinfg lines vontainers olus leased containers must be under deck

No, it isnt, there is 1 of 4 Container Terminal full automated Port. A second is under construction.
