Thank you so much for doing this video. I didn't find out until later in life as well. It totally changed me 'just knowing'. So many years of beating myself up. Thank you !

I think he is really brave speaking about his dyslexia and thus encouraging others to live with it. But I don't agree when he says that you should celebrate the dyslexia of your child. It still is a disability. Unfortunately there is a 50% possibility that you pass this on to your children.

I know this comment is from two years ago, but I feel like I can't let this comment pass without a response. As someone who's dyslexic and a parent I'm shocked by this comment. I don't understand what you're getting at with this comment. Are you saying that people with a learning disability shouldn't have children because they might pass it on to their child?? What do you mean that you shouldn't celebrate the dyslexia of your child? This video is about thriving with dyslexia. Its not about celebrating it.
Dyslexia presents challenges which need to be addressed but when the parents are aware of their childs needs and provide the help that they need their is no reason that child(future adult)can't reach their potential. Also a person who's dyslexic doesn't need to be encouraged to live with their dyslexia, they are living it. They have no choice but to learn how to live with it. As someone who's dyslexic, being dyslexic is hard but it's just how my brain works and also gives me strengths. I'm very creative, artistic, out of box thinker and very persistent. When you're dyslexic you learn to compensate for your weaknessess which brings a different perspective to the table. If you would meet me in person you would have no idea that I'm dyslexic.
