No I do not let it cool. You want it to be as hot as it can so it will melt all the oils. It’s probably over 200°f. As soon as the lye is dissolved. I pour it.

Do your soaps gel when using the heat transfer method?
Yes I force them to gel. I cover with a lid and a towel to make sure they gel.

Are you using the lye-water at their highest temperature (right after mixing them together) or do you wait for it to cool down a little ? thanks
