I’ve watched the first 165 videos, read the book twice, had a consultation with Barbie, started HRT, adopted a plant based diet and I’m feeling so empowered! You can only imagine my frustration when my best friend told me that her sister quit HRT because “it causes cancer” and when I told her to read the book that I bought for her, she said that 99% of doctors out there have a completely opposite view of HRT than menopause Barbie😵‍💫😵‍💫 I feel sorry for the women that are getting their education from other sources. Thank you for all you do to educate us Barbie!! Your fans love you!!❤️❤️

Thank you so much for this, Blythe. It's such a shame that doctors in practice are terrorizing women rather than teaching them. You deserve a complete eduction that includes (1) The benefits of taking HRT, (2) The risks of taking HRT, and (3) The risks of NOT taking HRT. Beyond that, the choice should be yours.
Thank you for appreciating my efforts to teach you. I will always respect and support each woman's decision as to how to manage her menopause her way.

Thank you for your information and service to women. I had heart surgery about 10 years ago and was turned away from the ER atleast 3 times before my surgery with panic attack and anxiety attack diagnoses.

It is very unfair when it comes to Men and Womens health. So it is very important for us women to be in control of our own health and thanks to you we are so aware of so much more. Yet another very important video from a wonderful Lady.

      Lorraine,
What a lovely comment. And what a fun surprise to see this so soon after seeing you. The need to know where things stand on these issues is so critical to your success in managing your menopause. That's why I present everything every which way.

I get my info from you! No doctor has spoken to me about heart attacks in spite of the fact that several of my female relatives that died of a heart attack. But my GYN did perform a calcium scoring and wants to do it yearly. I was in the ER several years go with palpitations. They treated me pretty good because my husband was there making his presence known. There was a lady in the ER with palpitations and Nausea and sweating they told her to go to the psych ward! If my husband was not there asking a bunch of questions and talking to doctors they would have taken me to the psych ward as well. Its something I will never forget!
This is such a serious subject and I appreciate the education!

It's so important for women to understand this. Scenarios like the one you experienced are all too common ... and some of those women die of heart attacks.

I just received my first post-menopausal cholesterol screening. Despite my being a vegan (!), my bad cholesterol number is high. I wouldn't have known this was due to menopause had I not been watching your videos. Thank you!

Oh, you are so welcome, my dear. I love knowing that this information ins helping. And menopause itself causes your cholesterol values to move in the undesirable direction. But, I'll be teaching you how to prevent that in upcoming videos.

Is a heart attack always caused by blocked arteries? If a calcification test returns a zero result does that mean you are in the clear for the time being? How quickly can a blockage build up? How often should you have a test if you have a family history of heart issues? Thanks you Dr Taylor, your education for us is invaluable.

It’s not fair how the medical field treat us women. My doctor just wants to push drugs instead of educating the patient.
Love your videos and thank you for all you do .

    • @MenopauseTaylor

Well, it's a good thing you have me to do what your doctor cannot do. Remember, doctors are not teachers. Most of them are not good at teaching. And I've never met one that is good at teaching non-doctors.
You have only 10 minutes per year with your doctor. How in the world do you expect him to educate you in that time? You see how much time and effort I put into it. Just stick with me. I'll teach you everything.
And if you want to tailor the information to YOU, schedule a consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME. That's precisely what they're for.

@@MenopauseTaylor There was a time when doctors acted as teachers to their patients. I still remember something what my brother (who is also a doctor) said when he was studying medicine. He said, "Our duty is not just limited to giving medicines and performing surgeries; we are supposed to teach our patients how to lead a healthy life; and even to guide them to choose occupations which help them to retain their earning capacity in spite of whatever medical conditions they are facing."
I am happy that he not only said it, but implemented it in his practice.
I am grateful to his professors for inculcating such nice values in him.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 роки тому +1

@@avidreader7545 Well, your brother and I are the dinosaurs who still believe that doctors are teachers. Ever since managed care entered the picture, doctors have become merely robots who do not have time to teach. That's one of the many reasons I give you this education here.

Welcome aboard to "Menopause Taylor University." You'll find that if you start at the very first video (going by the number after each title), you'll understand absolutely everything. And you'll be shocked at what you didn't know, and delighted that you now do know.
Each video builds on the last. It's just like school: You had to learn the alphabet before you could read. And nowadays, there are so many overwhelming misconceptions that women mistake as facts ... that you just don't know what you don't know.
I respond to all comments here on UA-cam daily. So, I will answer all your questions ... but I'll also know if you aren't watching the videos in order. (I'm like your mother. I have eyes in the back of my head!)
And if you need me to help you tailor anything to your personal situation, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME any time.
Consider scheduling a consultation with me, Kathleen. You deserve to learn all the facts AND have them all tailored specifically to YOU. And that's precisely what I do in consultations.
I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works:
      1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone.
      2) I would send you an email to confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. For instance, if you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I will give you a deadline for sending all materials, and will not accept anything after that date.
      3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points out the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU, using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are over 30 pages.
      4) I will send you the document by email 48 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth.
      5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want in order to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed.
      6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use.
      7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (15-minute or 30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and re-balance their options.
The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got form the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request.
So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively).
I hope to meet you soon!

The only warnings about heart problems I get are from my family doctor because I am Type 2 diabetic and my total cholesterol is in the low end of moderate range. I'm not taking statins because they make my neuropathy worse.
