I am 11 and I enjoy crafting large things and sewing and I am thinking of being a miniature one for halloween! I am going to buy the supplies and get my dad to help me make the stilts and when the costume is done I will walk around town with it on!

Hi Kevin, I am trying to order some foam for this costume but when I looked on the foamforyou website, I found a gazillion different types but I have no idea which go get. Can you make a suggestion? Thanks!!
Just get any tbh, foam is foam.
I'm only 5'4, for the leg stilts and foot platform, should I shorten everything and make things smaller to fit my calf and shoes better?
I'd do everything to spec and see where the calf cuff would be. Then you can cut the top of the stilt down as needed. By the same token, if you find that the crutches are too long (tilting you backwards) you can cut the wooden dowels to length.
Where did you but your foam? I really want to do this for Halloween.

What is the total length of that stilt? Would drywall stilts from Amazon work as well? I bought the 18-30 inch ones?
They should work. You can make it as tall as is comfortable for you and build the leg covering around them.
It would be helpful if you put up a list of all material needed for this project

I’m a hard working 12 year old, I have a few minor jobs that the neighbors pay me to do, and I’ve always wanted one of these.
This October I might try it but money has been short and dads car broke down..
