    Plastic is actually better for durability because a lighter object will impact with less kinetic energy. I've noticed that hard plastic objects tend to do far better when dropped than metal ones. And impacts are the most common way that things like this get damaged.

    Cool. Maybe I'll get one. Good price from a solid vendor, especially that it includes a 21700. Might be good as a tent light.. stick it up in a gear pocket. Waaay less $$ than the $79 "camping lights" out there.

    This is a great light well worth the money but that being said Anybody that's been experiencing a problem with the light flickering or the battery rattling it's just due to a weak spring a quick fix for that is putting a nickel between the battery and spring I did that works perfectly no rattle no flickering even after being dropped multiple times I work in an automotive shop so it gets beat around it's a great light the only downside is the spring but that's no big deal well worth the money

    Looks a lot like the Bosch FL12, which is one of my favorite work lights. This is a nice variation of that core design with 2x the lumens and cheaper 21700 batteries.

    I've got a similar light from another company and love it. Im sure the nitecore one is awesome too! But if anyone is reading this and doesnt have one of these COB style lights, buy this. Super handy to have in the car and around the house. I bought one for my dad, brother, and father in law too!
    I like the replaceable battery on the Nitecore, the competing product doesnt have that. Great design!

    How strong are the magnets?
    I have way too many magnet floodlights that fall off if you only bump them.

    • @NitecoreStore
      @NitecoreStore  10 місяців тому +2

      While I was testing them on my car hood I ended up bumping up against it a fair bit of times (3-4) and it didn't fall, mostly rotated in place. Because of how light the construction is I dont think this light would be easy to unstick unintentionally!

    What is the color temperature of a cob diode? I hope nitecore doesn't put out cold light at 6500 kelvin again.

    • @NitecoreStore
      @NitecoreStore  10 місяців тому +1

      We don't have any of those numbers from the manufacturer, but the COB seems to be definitely on the cooler side around 5500k-6500k and the spotlight is a bit warmer at 4000k- 5000k from our guess.

      @@NitecoreStoreI bought 2 of these, when I shake it just a little the light turns off or flickers. You would think a work light would have a stable battery holder. I'm not sure if this is the cause of the problem, but I can feel too much play of the battery inside with the cap tight, and it is the nitecore battery that came with it. Sometimes I can't even turn it on. Very unreliable. The other one I bought as a gift for someone, but now I don't want to give a light that only works sometimes. I too also don't like that most nitecore lights have a cooler tint. They are going for lumens at the cost of light quality.

      @@Wavefront101I had the same issue the spring is a little weak what I did was I put a nickel in between the battery and the spring and it works perfect no rattling no flickering it's been dropped multiple times haven't had any issues whatsoever it's actually really good light the only thing is the spring is a little on the weak side so if you put something in the take up the space like a nickel seems to be the perfect size it'll work great give it a try

    If you’ve never seen a light like this before you don’t shop in tool stores enough. They’ve been out for years. Cliplight is probably one of the firsts and best in this category but I’ve found a headlamp just works better and I don’t have to carry the light and search where to mount it. With the baseplate magnets on this it’s going to be too picky on placement. Nitecore should make a headband for you to strap this to lol

    8:13 Unless you're only talking to Americans, Liberians, and Myanmarnese people you should include metric data for the other 95% of the UA-cam and global population!!
    Dimensions 216.7mm x 50.0mm x 41.2mm, Weight 224 g.
    But as this seems to be a promo site for your Nitecore Store and you only ship to US/Canada then maybe this is the reason you don't include metric for the masses!!

    • @NitecoreStore
      @NitecoreStore  9 місяців тому +2

      That is correct, we are the official YT for Nitecore Store, the official US and Canada distributor, so our target audience is Americans and Canadians, but we do cary all of the measurements in metric on our website, if you go under the 'User Manual' tab all of the specs are in metric! Thank you for your concern though, we try to make our videos accessible and applicable for everyone interested in our gadgets!
