Nope. Might I suggest giving the captains another Hitpoint though, or otherwise make a captain unit lead each individual army after it returns to the castle?
"Sire, it has taken months of arduous recovery, but after the last crushing defeat we have finally raised another army. They are merely light infantry, but though they lack experience and count only 30 men among them, they are ready to follow your command." the mvps: trigger and da gaming boy, who after their kings death defended the remaining red outposts and, after being separated, did revenge The neutral outpost knights under the command of Anya, who defended agaist two kingdoms
Trigger retired into his home village and raised a stong army of marauders, while Da Gaming Boy seeked revenge like an assassin, although tragically falling to the Purple King, somethingsomething master mind, can't remember his name, who also grew to become a powerful marble after debuting as Da Gaming Boy's downfall.
If trigger were also in that castle battle probably would`ve achieved victory without Da Gaming boy dying but in the end he choosed peace over invasion
Da Gaming Boi may have fallen early, but his legacy remained long after due to leaving his friend, Trigger, behind at the axe outpost to continually raise up an army and terrorize anyone who tried to invade.
The way red army revenged oranges after they killed their king was priceless, this doesn't even feels like random chaos anymore, you can build stories on it
@@lostmarbles2d It would have been better, I think. The ending was quite anticlimactic, seeing the heroes I'd rooted for all vid long get overwhelmed in accelerated time by numberless marbles of a pointless kingdom...
It could be interesting if the lands reaching its population cap and not being conquered for a long time could deverlop themselves into higher levels, becoming the other kingdoms (or princedoms). Imagine the greens and purples beating each other, but suddenly the great princedom of greys grows up and starts terrorizing the area
Not if he has it that there can only be a new kingdom if there’s (a): hero at lvl 6/7 (b): no current king for that color. Usually hero’s die before then especially for lvl 7 He could also make it so the king has to travel to the old capital site to respawn the kingdom location. While that’s less of a issue for Greys, that’s really bad for Colors since they’re usually on low numbers and might not be able to get a good escort.
That one single Knight neutral outpost has taken down anything trying to get them lol. 2 Red elite soldiers is a real deal, even when they are seperated. Still feel bad for them since their king got obliterated so soon.
Green: *Instantly attacks the knight encampment* Free Knights: "And we took that personally." *50 INVASIONS BY GREEN AND PURPLE SOLDIERS LATER* Green: Ataack! Free Knights: How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man!? *huge massacre starts and Green runs away*
@@axell15thewispmaster79 the axes probably spawn in the horns most of the time, and due to the horns' small size, it's easy to get the axes stuck in them.
Bro you were literally the legend. I was rooting for you so bad, it was a sad moment when blue king barely managed to defeat you. Im glad that your companion (Trigger) defend the las red stronghold to the bitter end with more than 200 kills. But again seeing “you” go against dozens and win was epic. Got really lucky.
Seeing warriors like you growing up, and writing their tales which will be told by community, that's why I'm watching this series. Congrats for avenging red kingdom!
This was honestly way too long but i still have a job to do... The colour selection was creative tho! *_AS ALWAYS, SPOILERS!!!!!_* Orange's and Red's armies seemed the most competent; Purple's and Green's armies spent most of their time recouping their forces at their respective castles recouping their numbers after devastating losses. Red's army stuck around for quite a while, and the post-king red army led by Da Gaming Boi is the entire reason behind Orange's Downfall. That Church (i think is what that is) really had quite the career; after so many battles, it never got captured! It's a good sign for a town if armies with more units than you are _scared_ of you. What should've took just 1 hour for a casual viewer took around 7.5 hours (give or take 2) for meticulous ol' me. I hope all this time I spent doing this didn't go to waste. The Green and Purple armies did a lot of waffling about getting nothing done. This I felt unnecessarily bloated the runtime. ORANGE : 175 This faction's king was the second to be slain. They stuck on with a single unit for a while without any towns to recoup their numbers after that massacre from red's army. They eventually died out after Da Gaming Boi finished that lone unit off. I didn't notice any notable units here aside from the below: Captain Dragon Queen, cocky as she was, led her army into a massacre versus the red castle. She learned the hard way that crowns are still a good defence. King Fredson, as said earlier, would be defeated at the hands of Da Gaming Boi himself after him and his roving bandit friends cut through 15 other orange warriors. PURPLE : 1307 Woof. Big jump. I think most of the high casualties compared to orange is because of how many battles were fought after orange's downfall. The kingdom of King Obstagoon the Mastermind outlasted Red's and Orange's downfall. Eventually, 57 minutes in, the castle finally fell. I was here, too! I got 4 kills in 3 battles before dying lamely in the little house in the northwest... Captain tampashrew died immediately at the Church. After a costly and exhausting battle at the purple castle, King Obstagoon the Mastermind himself landed the final blow on Da Gaming Boi, ending Red's army in that instant. The King went on to destroy 51 warriors himself across 5 battles. The king eventually died in a green horde. RED : 479 This faction was the first to lose their castle, but their army survived for a surprising amount of time afterwards, becoming its own force to be reckoned with. Captain Ridgrun lead their army through a streak of murder, only to fall to green's 41-army force after red's forces were exhausted. King Richard Cheese Must've put some extra armour in his crown, since he survived quite a long time, even after facing skirmishes from the other three factions. He ultimately died when Captain Dragon Queen took her turn. Da Gaming Boi faced 32 battles, taking 142 lives. After the king's death, He is joined by Willoni, Axis, Brytjo, and Trigger, each of which would occasionally drop in or out of the army. Trigger in particular seems to be DGB's best ally, at 218 kills and 39 battles. Trigger would eventually help protect the Camp, while DGB went on to challenge many more armies and towns. DGB and his misfit army even challenged (and destroyed) orange's castle. Unfortunately, the whole of the red force was defeated at the purple castle after a failed raid... Delgundleof, of 108 kills and 23 battles, becomes Trigger's new best friend in defending the Camp from hell and high water. Nightlock, Manntho, Catak, Marbleous Racing (an odd celebrity cameo), and Ciscra, among many many others also defended the camp after DGB's death. Eventually, Delgundleof was slain by a force of 128 Green Units on what should've been their victory lap but in truth ended up being their "bashing their heads against several walls". Trigger took on a hell of a lot across 39 whole battles. It took a force of 222 just to kill trigger. Rest in peace you beautiful, badass bastard. NEUTRAL : 374 I think this whole faction killed more people than existed in the entire red faction. Most of it was solely because of the dutiful warriors of the church, detailed below. Anya, Frithpaul, and Verbole helped humiliate the purple army in their first battle. They are joined by Plaine, Shep, Blox Dealer, Yagul, fan dronegi, Aiden_Lucky, Ethelse, Kuromiku, TheBlueberryPi, Astrophe, Stanmak, Fred'niel, Mireille, Jeff Heff, JoeJoecoco Gaming (A NAME I SAW ELSEWHEN AND ELSEWHERE IN _THIS_ WAR AND ANOTHER.), and Asralyn (among others) in subsequent battles. Only a few of the previously mentioned neutral warriors would perish during the course of the whole war. The first three accumulated more than 300 kills amongst themselves across 35 battles. Honestly this is making me consider visiting a church every once in a while, despite being atheist. Eventually, they met DGB himself. Not defeat. Not defeated by. Just met. They churchgoers _did_ defeat most of the gaming boi's forces before DGB went on his merry way. In the end, it took around 500 green units total to clean up the rest of the neutral units. This is i think the only time a neutral faction has survived until the end since the first war. Then again, I could be wrong. There _has_ been 8 wars, after all. GREEN : 3364 The king never fell. The Army went strong (more or less) for the entire hour of the video's runtime. jamesfoz6400 described green's victory as a "spiritual loss", they could only wipe out the remaining nongreens because they could accumulate 200+ units after 10 minutes of no progress. In the end, green comprised 59% of all casualties in this entire war, most of it being after the warm colours' castles were crushed. Captain Kahthok has lead their army into a slaughter from the church warriors. They fled that battle, but died at the red castle. King Shilohmagic took 11 lives over only 3 battles. As far as he's concerned, the purple faction was the only faction that existed, since that was the only faction that got the chance to invade the green castle. Across 141 battles, this war costed *_5700_* lives. An oddly even number. Glad that you took the advice to have the captains and kings be initially named! It was also nice to see that the amount of fighters used by each faction (alongside other stats) was counted out at the end! I was also relieved and disappointed that you didn't automatically count the casualties at the end. Please have a count of the casualties at the end alongside the other stats. I beg of you. Nevertheless, this war got into a near stalemate halfway in, with absolutely no progress made whatsoever. Thus i'm confident that this video _actually says something about war itself._ I know that peace treaties aren't possible for this kind of video, but it would've stopped so much unnecessary bloodshed. The war dragged on for so long that I started actually getting attached to some of these dudes; Delgundleof, Trigger, Da Gaming Boi, Anya, Frithpaul, Verbole, Ethelse, and several others who were chronicled above!
Also i appered 2 times in this video first time when i was in Green invanison of purple castile as purple as swordman i killed 2 but i dead by nameless Green royal guard the second time in Green invanison of nortwest spear grey base i was a swordman from Green and i killed 2 but dead after 5 stabs from grey spears anyways lol
Trigger and DGB were the best duo, I kept hoping he would pick up trigger everytime he came to the camp to refill on Units, ig trigger was too busy training new warriors to partake in raids, I do think if DGB had picked up Trigger, he wouldn't have died in that raid on the purple castle or at least be avenged after his fateful duel.
Maybe when the neutral outposts get max armies like that, they could send out troops themselves? Maybe just to capture other villages. When they get maxed out armies it just seems like they stop mattering because they stop getting attacked.
@@lostmarbles2dOne thing that you have to be careful of is the neutral villages that are on the edge and have mountains on 1-2 sides. These only get attacked a few times during the whole game, and reach their population cap very easily. Villages sending out their own armies is a great idea, maybe it could apply to “colored” villages with no army or king left too, but remove the geographic protection some villages have, if they never get attacked, they very easily will form their armies, giving them too much of an advantage
@@lostmarbles2d Be careful, what about neutral armies attacking other neutral armies and villages? It would be boring if they see each other as allies. I think after reaching the limit, the village should gain a new colour uppon sending the army. If they reach the limit cap again, it should become a kingdom, kinda pratical.
Ideas: Redo the mechanic for villages sending troops to the capital so that while they still do contribute soldiers, they also build up a garison of their own. Like, say out of every 5 that are sent, 1 or 2 stay behind and contribute to that villages defense. Have a mechanic in which troops that are produced in a village with a high-level soldier garrisoned (lets say Trigger for example) receive bonus xp to start off of. This is for 2 reasons: I like the Idea of these grizzled old veterans teaching the next generation of warriors hiw to fight, and it provides incentive to leave strong warriors in newly captured villages. Capitals should receive this training bonus as it is the center of military operations for the empire, meaning that there should still be done kind of training done Should an empire lose it's capital and only consist of its subject villages, there should exist a mechanic for enabling one of those villages to become the new capital with its own army. This should only occur when certain criteria are met, such as a certain period of time must pass and the village must have a large garrison or a really powerful warrior to make king Those are my ideas (outside of reversing the archer nerf please) I feel would really enhance the experience. Still, the fact that a marble simulation is so entertaining and polished that there are people openly invested in its development is a feat on its own. Great job!
Only thing I can think of that would make castle sieges more like sieges would be having either multi-stage invasions where the walls of the castle need to be conquered and then the courtyard, meaning two consecutive rounds of fighting or making it so attacking forces need to break down some sort of gate before they can get into the interior of the castle, allowing archers inside to weaken invading forces. Also artillery! Aside from that, excellent video! I love the grey knights and red's villages! They're the real MVPs!
I think there needs to some sort of truce system. If both kingdoms keep attacking each other, and it goes nowhere, they will eventually declare truce and each army would avoid one another Another thing is there could be an alliance system if both enemies have a common enemy that's too powerful. If the 2 allied kingdoms army collide, they will merge and instead into 1 massive army I'm writing so we can avoid the problems this vid has and because of it made it extremely long lol Another idea is if a certain capture point gets so max capacity and lasts long enough without any fights, it becomes the new kingdom so they can send their armies and conquer again
I like all your ideas but for the last one I'd prefer for there to be a downside (nothing too crazy, maybe they don't spawn the guys with shields or only produce 2 units instead of the standard 4 that castles make) so that it doesn't risk making the simulation too long with dead kingdoms constantly cropping up and not getting too far.
@@lostmarbles2d A few improvements about his alliance idea Make a small coloured part tracing the outline of the army circle. If the part collides with an opposing army, they will merge and become an alliance, getting soldiers from cities controlled by both kingdoms. If that part don’t collide with another opposing army, the 2 armies will fight as usual Alliance breaks when the allied army is defeated, then the remaining armies split and return back to their capitals cities to replenish supplies
@@lostmarbles2dmarbles you ahould make something similar, exept instead of fighting on land they will be fighting on ships, imagine how cool it would be seeing 2 ships firing cqnnons and flintlocks at each other.
This was fantastic! I was so invested! The stories of the Unconquerable Greys lead by the fierless Anya, the eternal friendship and heroism of Boi and Trigger, who carried on after his friend's death, it was wonderful. Boi would be proud of him. Don't let anyone tell you this isn't great!
Boy was framed by an archer, giving the king a level. As for the friendship between him and Trigger, they shouldn't have parted and probably would have conquered the world, well, except for the bandit village)
@@user-geniu yea it makes me want to implement some sort of mechanic for marbles to randomly decide if they want to stay in the town or region the army
@alisoncandilora2947 Sorry, but I have to correct you. That Knight Outpost wasn't lead by Anya alone. It was lead by the Triumvirat of Anya, Frithpaul and Verbole. They built this outpost together and defended it together until the end. One for all and all for one.
I think Green lost this war in a spiritual sense. I feel like settlements should be able once they reach their cap they should send a 1/10 of their settlement out as an army. This allows for kingdoms being in their castle stage to potentially get small victories to get some experience so they're not constantly banging their heads like what was the 2nd half of the video were the experienced got only better, only being defeated once Green could assemble 200-300 human wave assaults. This could also allow for those who have lost their armies and castle the small possibility to actually rebound and win. Because frankly think it's kind of lame the Grey Knights and Red's despite having better armies, could only at most, hope for a stalemate like in 5. Overall decent video, map changes seem largely an improvement, albeit the hammer settlement shouldn't be as nestled in, since they look like they are better, but never got the chance since it was a massive improbability of happening. I just binged this series a few days ago, so I hope you enjoy my two cents on this video.
@@lostmarbles2d Suggestion: Make the capital city a city that can be reconquered, so the fight can go on Also when a city reaches 50 or more soldiers, 10-20% of the soldiers will form a new army I also want fro the neutral to have a king, capital and own army
This match was really fun (for the first half at least). Red's uber hero(es), purple's fixation on that knight camp and the legendary knights themselves... Very very fun. An entire hour long epic of war. Though by the end I was kinda wishing there was a way for both green and purple to lose, over the course of the game those two demonstrated about as much strategic and tactical accumen as a packet of moldy beans. Considering that this is all random physics simulation, green's ability to consistently fail all but the most ruinously lopsided in their favor emgagements is actually almost impressive. Congrats to Gaming Boi for becoming the greatest hero of all time... And to King Obstagoon for defeating him. That moment was heart wrenching but an earned victory. Also: the changes to retreating are good! And I noticed that you implemented my one way wall projectile passing. Like those tweaks. Lots of physics bugs with axes and shields. I'm sure you're already going to fix them but I'm curious if you know what caused them? It was kinda bizarre how regular they were.
I'm a bit conflicted with the levelling system. on one side, you could get the white knights where it's almost impossible to conquer after a certain point (feeding too much). took a force 10x of their size to BARELY defeat them. on the other hand, you can create stories out of these. the struggle the white knights had to do, barely surviving over and over again. having only but a few knights getting assaulted by invaders day in and day out while slowly building their strengths till nobody can contest their home again.
@@lostmarbles2d I think having them gain too much HP is an issue. Maybe less hp per level the higher level you get but it looks like sometimes they get new items? Which I think is fine. Just less hp per level would be good. Maybe a tad bit of damage per level as well could help other heroes kill them faster too.
@@lostmarbles2d I had an idea where they would have less HP but start each battle with totally defensive armor so they couldn’t take damage but it would be destroyed by enemy attacks.
RIP trigger, he had over 200 kills and survived 39 battles some of which were against over 100 men my boy left the army to train new recruits then his best friend da gaming boi got killed and then in the end had to watch all of his students die right in front of him then be killed himself Truly the strongest, RIP trigger
Well sweet Jebus this is a video. While I understand the rampant EXP growth is probably an issue that needs to be resolved as it rendered most of the game pretty unwatchable, the stories it created were wonderful. Reds getting jumped early by Orange and knocked out. Boi and Trigger going "I didn't hear no bell!" and Boi's general rampage that ended in him being Kingslayer to Orange's king in a turn of beautiful irony, and almost to Purple if he hadn't lost that last duel against The Mastermind King. Trigger running a Barbarian Village that withheld a tide of hundreds of Purples and Greens until his final last stand alone against an army where he almost won. And the general meme that was Anya and her Temple Knights holding their ground against hundreds of foes for the entire game alongside Trigger's Village within the Heartlands until both were taken down by Green just mass spamming Archer chip damage (its just like real life fr fr!) Something here needs to be fixed probably, but the current iteration of the game actually organically created several groups of main characters and plotlines for a pretty decent fantasy story. And that is something that I consider magical in and of itself.
There were only 15 survivors out of the 222 when Green attacked Trigger’s village, and literally only 3 survivors out of 221 when they attacked Anya’s city (and which they still didn’t take it lmaooo)
You are looking at the wrong problem, since it's clear that the issue is cuz these strong units villages with high leveled soldiers might last too much, it happened when an archer village defeated each army that tried to conquer if a few videos back. The solution would be either to make it so that these high leveled units get out of their villages upon reaching an certain level or unit cap, or balance the hell out of the levels and the units which would make the episodes less enjoyable with less heroes.
So would green be the sympathetic villain in this case? I don't think he would be popular with the citizens after sending so many people to their deaths trying to take two measly settlements.
@@paonippobemduro yeah, I think that might make it work both narratively and mechanically, having a unit that is level 4 lead a group out into the wide world would solve the unbreakable villages issue as well as make the story seem like "This grizzled veteran realized that the attacks on his home would never end, so he took a group of well bodied volunteers to explore out and stop these invaders at the source.
@@andresmarrero8666 tbh he could've played it off as a war for survival, that unless this realm were to be united under green rule, the other colors would wipe them out, and the people of green were attacked in the capital a good number of times that they might actually believe it

That was the best one yet! I loved it! Really goes to show the importance of quality vs quantity. I was quite disappointed with the ending, though... I wish green had recognized the futility of their attempts after a while and just let Anya and the Grey Knights live in peace.
2:25 the start of DA GAMING BOI. 7:35 the start of TRIGGER. 11:21 TRIGGER giving the task to protect the axe outpost, and DA GAMING BOI going on his own adventure. 16:29 getting revenge and killing the orange king. 27:06 thinking he can kill king purple too, he attacks. 28:59 the death of DA GAMING BOI, king purple was too strong. 1:06:48 the death of TRIGGER, he did well in protecting the axe outpost, but now it's time for him to rest, and reunite with DA GAMING BOI.
It feels like DaGamingDoi and Trigger were best of friends, but when Gaming died Trigger lost all his will and just stayed in his camp, until the green army showed up and Trigger decided to take as many as he could. Also the center grey knights rocked the entire video
I always cconsidered the greens to be goblins, didn't expect them to actually act like goblins. While all the other tribes had big names that's defended their village together from multiple armies, the goblins just continued sending endless tides, until after a matter of time, the heroes fall to the sheer number of foes. A final stand, against a force of nature. Despite the annoying softlock that built up to the end, I really enjoyed watching my two favourite tribes doing their final stands lol. Trigger, my beloved, you were truly a bull in the battle field.
Can you please bring back the eight kingdoms war? It would be interesting to see how much it changed since the new mechanic and units had been added. Also I suggest that when villages reached the maximum amount of unit, split up the number: one would stay, another go out as the army. Lastly, the Captains unit desperately needs a buff. Give them five hit points or make their helmet impenetrable. Have a nice day
@@lostmarbles2d I thought having fewer armies was more interesting, personally. There were so many great stories this time, if there had been twice the number of sides to follow, I'd have been completely lost.

Mate this is class ❤. I had an idea that would be cool. I feel that it would be interesting if these kingdoms could tech up a little so maybe there was a training field in the middle of the map or something and going there, a few soldiers from the army would tech up. Maybe shortswords could become longswords or something but without getting hero status as to not make it op
In a previous (unpublished) build I tried training camps, but it was a bit of a toxic mechanic so I ended up not using it. I do want to make some sort of progression/upgrades in future for the cities, one of those could be an internal training camp or similar.

200 people per "meat grinder" village and every time they walked away with laughably low numbers. anyways, I wonder if maybe next time we could have two mega kingdoms fight against each other, and each kingdom has multiple armies?
11 minutes in, and I have hopes for two things. That the Greys keep that one castle, and that Red duo army survives against all odds, just hopping in battles killing a few enemies to get exp.
Da Gaming Boi: >wanders into a field by himself >is confronted by 20+ armed men >kills everyone in sight >refuses to elaborate >leaves Repeat ad infinitum
Rip Dagamingdude, the strongest soldier ever on red and maybe the strongest the entire game, also rip his sidekick Trigger who also became extremely powerful.
I think Trigger actually ended up surpassing him, couldn’t tell what level he was at the end but he had over 200 kills which I think was higher than Da Gaming Boi ever got. Both of them definitely surpassed the legend of the ancient Red Hero.
I have a few suggestions what could be added or changed. 1. maybe add horsemen who would do tangible damage on impact. 2. the fortress of the state is usually not so fortified and it is not so difficult to capture, maybe each castle will have a tower which will shoot? There is no way to destroy or attack it, you can win only by killing the king
And for a little variety on soldier types, I present you the Landsknecht and the flintlock pistoleers: The Landsknecht (2-handed swordsman) are armorless footmen, wielding their mighty zweihanders to cause breach in enemy lines. Weapon: give them a beeeeg sword(like captain in level4-5), which, unlike regular swordsman, it can be swing freely like the pikemen's weapon. HP: half than regular marbles (can be killed by 1 arrow) Speed: slightly faster than regular marbles. Upgrade: boost speed, but no helmet (give them a cosmetic feathered hat?) This unit's sword can defend against small arms as well as dueling hard targets. But its vulnerablity against ranged weapons makes a hard counter against them.Overall, a high-risk, high-reward glass-cannon unit to fill in the character of highly-mobile soldiers. The flintlock pistoleers are barrage shooters which utilize their (unreliable) firearms to rain down bullets onto their enemies. Weapon: a flintlock pistol( a reskin of bow which fire bullets, a reskin of arrow which deal 1 hp instead of 0.5 hp), which they can swing around madly like berserker's axes. Unlike bows, the pistol does not aim at all, their bullet shall fly freely when being fired. The bullet will not be blocked by wall, helmet and shields. HP: Like regular marble. Speed: Like regular marble.(does not has archer's movement boost.) Upgrade: give them another pistol on lv2, and boost their firing speed. This unit is a chaotic combatant which have absolutely no measures to defend itself from close combat. It will shine against tides of enemies(when they cannot miss against enemies everywhere and can easily pick out a few by stray bullets) or cut huge chunks of hp from high-leveled unit by a few lucky shots. A unit to provide a little luck and variety to the battlefield, and is the (unreliable) source of the precious anti-armor damage output.

Ok, I see a lot of fun ideas in the comments so maybe I can drop mine Let's say a later game "cataclysm" as you may call it, something similar to the massive events in a game Battle Brothers. For example, once 20 min is passed the game will pick one of the few "end game scenerios" launches, most if not all of them should probably be other armies that would spawn from certairn point in the map, for example: -Necromancer, he spawns in one of the forests and acts as a magnet for his undead to follow, at start they are relatively small to the rest but the key thing is that after each battle necromancer resurrects ALL of the enemies he defeasted as skeletons, lets say they can take two normal hits and have very short range claws, maybe a weapon they wielded once alive but no extra hitpoints, once he attacks a minor settlement he just lives it independed but filled with all the defenders turned skeletons. -Orc Horde, going from one of the corners in the map they are a warhost focused solely on destroying marble civilisation, they are bruthish and primitive but they have the best troops in the game and they biggest army of all the players, the only problem is that they can't reinforce, so killing orcs bit by bit is very beneficial, however, Orcs don't have plans to rule this land, for they sack and burn everything in their path, DESTROYING any minor settlement or castle they come across. -Trolls, Down from the mountains a handful of trolls go down, wishing to control this land with a brute force alone, they have less than 7 marbles but they are strong, they have big clubs and they heal after combat, they don't have interest in minor settlements, as they see them as not important, the only thing will want is a big castle, after taking one by a chance they elect the troll king, having means of very slow reinforcement, after each battle trolls will have a chance to get only few marbles captive and turn them into war slaves, having rusty swords pushed into combat, acting more like a fodder rather than a frontline. Damns that's a long list but still this sort of thing would be pretty funny to have random monster army to win a game
Some really cool ideas! The necromancer would be give a use to the corpses that dot the minimap... maybe it could be collecting them as soldiers as it moves around or something
@@lostmarbles2d I suggest adding a horizontal/vertical river in the middle of the map for protection, your army crosses the river if they touch one of their ports
Suggestion :) Lizard Folk invasion - similar to orcs, they will spawn on a random corner of the map, these are fast marbles with a decent resistance due to their scales, they use primitive hatchets and clubs but they also have ranged archers which arrows poison the troops they hit.
i love how even after so many wars, no marbles have been able to live up to the legends of old: the red hero, then later the 2 orange guys and the yellow guy. the only time the recent wars have come close to producing another legend like that was the last one with Zaria the bow goddess and her posse. UNTIL THIS VIDEO, where Da Gaming Boi decides to *break the record for highest level* and almost brings his long dead nation to victory. not to mention Trigger the red axeman who fought alongside Gaming Boi for a while until settling at a village, which he defended until the end of the war and made into the most impenetrable stronghold, second only to the grey one just west of it. then, on his 40th and last battle, *He breaks the new record for highest level, with an astounding level 8*. He stays alive until he is literally the last one standing, and almost defeats the rest of the army, but every ball has it's limits as they say. this video was by far one of my favorites, these are the kind of hero stories i was looking for
Marble Kingdoms! Map: Not sure about the small map. I do like how the armored marbles aren’t the only ones in the center, should help them get into the game a bit more(although this instance turned out to be a pretty bad example of what this could be) 3:15: I’m in support the gray marbles now, sorry green I’m not with you for this video. I didn’t notice any other updates if there were any so just a few thought on the video: -It was an honor to fight and die for the freedom of the gray marbles. Fight on brothers and sisters o7. -Da Gaming Boi might be the most impressive marble in the series so far, only 20 minutes in and he’s at over 100 kills and at level 7, a level not attained by any other marble in the series history.(edit: trigger reached over 200 kills and level 8, but just farmed with an army of other axes to get there, while Gaming Boi destroyed armies by himself) One suggestion for an update: if a color that lost their army(red in this case) build up enough in their remaining holdings, they could form a new army. Could keep the game more interesting, and all those extra marbles aren’t so wasted. Ok, I have to admit, I skipped ahead, I just didn’t have time to watch all of it through, I’m sorry ok. I edited this comment like 5 times, this is the last one: the amount of dead marbles on the map at the end is just insane, but hey, at least green won in the end? That’s nice… right? Also stats at the end are interesting, I like them, and the art too, I wish to see more of that.
This series you have made is better than all of your previous content, I love this so much. It feels like an actual storyline. The length makes it even better.
As always a great video. To avoid the leveling to infinity loop "grey knight problem", maybe make the armies more reluctant to fight against Settlements that they have lost in the past (e.g. In the calculation for noping out the Settlement strength is multiplied by 1+x*0,1). And then reset the reluctantness when the ownership of the Settlement changes. Dunno if it would work just what came into my mind :)

The neutral outpost knights under the command of Anya, who defended agaist two kingdoms
True
Don't forget about frithpaul and verbole the two veteran knights
The way red army revenged oranges after they killed their king was priceless, this doesn't even feels like random chaos anymore, you can build stories on it

Usually hero’s die before then especially for lvl 7
He could also make it so the king has to travel to the old capital site to respawn the kingdom location.
While that’s less of a issue for Greys, that’s really bad for Colors since they’re usually on low numbers and might not be able to get a good escort.

*_AS ALWAYS, SPOILERS!!!!!_*
Orange's and Red's armies seemed the most competent; Purple's and Green's armies spent most of their time recouping their forces at their respective castles recouping their numbers after devastating losses.
ORANGE : 175
This faction's king was the second to be slain. They stuck on with a single unit for a while without any towns to recoup their numbers after that massacre from red's army. They eventually died out after Da Gaming Boi finished that lone unit off.
I didn't notice any notable units here aside from the below:
Captain Dragon Queen, cocky as she was, led her army into a massacre versus the red castle. She learned the hard way that crowns are still a good defence.
King Fredson, as said earlier, would be defeated at the hands of Da Gaming Boi himself after him and his roving bandit friends cut through 15 other orange warriors.
PURPLE : 1307
Woof.
RED : 479
This faction was the first to lose their castle, but their army survived for a surprising amount of time afterwards, becoming its own force to be reckoned with.
NEUTRAL : 374
I think this whole faction killed more people than existed in the entire red faction.
GREEN : 3364
The king never fell.
53:37 its you 🎉
Its no longer you 53:39 😢😢

Trigger and DGB were the best duo, I kept hoping he would pick up trigger everytime he came to the camp to refill on Units, ig trigger was too busy training new warriors to partake in raids, I do think if DGB had picked up Trigger, he wouldn't have died in that raid on the purple castle or at least be avenged after his fateful duel.
I was so sad when Axis died, I hoped they would be the first bow hero
DGB and Trigger will be remembered alongside the Yellow and Orange killing machines from 4, and SFBL from [I forgot which one they appeared in]
Maybe when the neutral outposts get max armies like that, they could send out troops themselves? Maybe just to capture other villages. When they get maxed out armies it just seems like they stop mattering because they stop getting attacked.
Planned :)
Actually rather than capturing villages they could just propose a threat of destroying another capital or giving another neutral tribe independence.

Немного.
Man the sea of Purple and Green around that Knight outpost is so satisfying. Love that you show the after effects of the battle
When Axe and Knife spilt up, two story begin. What a wonderful episode, still wandering where Anya's shield is, lol.
Ideas:
Redo the mechanic for villages sending troops to the capital so that while they still do contribute soldiers, they also build up a garison of their own.
Capitals should receive this training bonus as it is the center of military operations for the empire, meaning that there should still be done kind of training done
Should an empire lose it's capital and only consist of its subject villages, there should exist a mechanic for enabling one of those villages to become the new capital with its own army. This should only occur when certain criteria are met, such as a certain period of time must pass and the village must have a large garrison or a really powerful warrior to make king
Those are my ideas (outside of reversing the archer nerf please) I feel would really enhance the experience.
If both kingdoms keep attacking each other, and it goes nowhere, they will eventually declare truce and each army would avoid one another
Another thing is there could be an alliance system if both enemies have a common enemy that's too powerful. If the 2 allied kingdoms army collide, they will merge and instead into 1 massive army
I'm writing so we can avoid the problems this vid has and because of it made it extremely long lol
Another idea is if a certain capture point gets so max capacity and lasts long enough without any fights, it becomes the new kingdom so they can send their armies and conquer again
Thanks for the feedback! have some ideas planned around that
I like all your ideas but for the last one I'd prefer for there to be a downside (nothing too crazy, maybe they don't spawn the guys with shields or only produce 2 units instead of the standard 4 that castles make) so that it doesn't risk making the simulation too long with dead kingdoms constantly cropping up and not getting too far.
@@lostmarbles2d A few improvements about his alliance idea
Make a small coloured part tracing the outline of the army circle. If the part collides with an opposing army, they will merge and become an alliance, getting soldiers from cities controlled by both kingdoms. If that part don’t collide with another opposing army, the 2 armies will fight as usual
Alliance breaks when the allied army is defeated, then the remaining armies split and return back to their capitals cities to replenish supplies

I felt the same way! Adding army spawns at town size limits would in theory end up eliminating inept players like these.
Trying to balance that is the most difficult, but I like to feel like every video I'm getting slightly closer to it!

And the general meme that was Anya and her Temple Knights holding their ground against hundreds of foes for the entire game alongside Trigger's Village within the Heartlands until both were taken down by Green just mass spamming Archer chip damage (its just like real life fr fr!)
Something here needs to be fixed probably, but the current iteration of the game actually organically created several groups of main characters and plotlines for a pretty decent fantasy story.
@@andresmarrero8666 tbh he could've played it off as a war for survival, that unless this realm were to be united under green rule, the other colors would wipe them out, and the people of green were attacked in the capital a good number of times that they might actually believe it
Could you maybe add some royal guards for the king in the castle map and maybe replace the knights with them I think it would be pretty cool
Yes, and guards should follow the king wherever he goes
I literally had that same idea on the third one! It's so obvious!
And also make them a tad bit stronger so their not just remodels of knights
Why not give those royal guards cannons? Deals devastating damage at range and can be used in melee to harm.
Comments are going so fast, no one will notice the bug that happened at 59:33
DrkLgnds the purple footman retreats from battle but army ends up getting destroyed
Yeee I was about to comment that. I got invested in purple, and then “poof”
I noticed that, it was unfair for him.

That was the best one yet! I loved it!
Really goes to show the importance of quality vs quantity.
I was quite disappointed with the ending, though... I wish green had recognized the futility of their attempts after a while and just let Anya and the Grey Knights live in peace.
True but those last stands where EPIC!
If Anya created an army they should've been able to rampage both kingdoms...
Red King really put up a fight at the end there
The video is an hour long and not even a minute has passed. Do you want to convince me that the Red Fort was occupied from the first minute?

16:29 getting revenge and killing the orange king.
27:06 thinking he can kill king purple too, he attacks.
28:59 the death of DA GAMING BOI, king purple was too strong.
1:06:48 the death of TRIGGER, he did well in protecting the axe outpost, but now it's time for him to rest, and reunite with DA GAMING BOI.
Also
0:16 the start of ANYA the grey knight outpost defender.
1:07:13 the death of ANYA.
Trigger the first level 8 soldier in marbles kingdom history
Over 1 hour?!
I'm gonna have fun today :)
Have a nice day
Additional armies is next on the list!
@@lostmarbles2d I thought having fewer armies was more interesting, personally.
There were so many great stories this time, if there had been twice the number of sides to follow, I'd have been completely lost.
@@momom6197 well we'll see how it turns out! What I often find with new features is that they don't affect the game as I imagine they would. For example, I often add things to make the game shorter, and they end up making it longer.
@@lostmarbles2d It may be too late, but could you perhaps use a different symbol per army to help differentiate the? For example maybe red army 1 has the normal gonfalon banner, but red army 2 has a pennant shape, red army 3 has a round shape, red army 4 has a pennon, and vice versa
@@lostmarbles2d I personally loved the 8 kingdoms because it was the one other time we had "legendary" characters the yellow level 6 hero and the orange pair who would win even in 1 or 2 vs 40+. I feel that more kingdoms gives more troops to have a chance to do this making it far more entertaining.(in 8 kingdoms my heart fell and I got so sad when the 2 orange fought the 1 yellow because I knew one had to die and I loved them both.)
@@lostmarbles2d I'm excited to see that!

Trigger the red barbarian had a mind-blowing 218 kills and was the first unit in history to reach level 8
It's more because the dual wielding classes were brokenly op in this one rather than an accomplishment.
My full respect to Da Gaming Boi and Trigger.
We need a hall of fame for the series.
We need a hall of fame for all the heroes that have came about throughout the marble kingdom series
Lets make lost marbles see this
Especially now when Lost Marbles shows no intentions of stopping. We'll begin forgetting heroes, which is just tragic.

11 minutes in, and I have hopes for two things. That the Greys keep that one castle, and that Red duo army survives against all odds, just hopping in battles killing a few enemies to get exp.
I was rooting for green from the start but when their army encountered da gaming Boi I still wanted red to win
Level 4 archers will go from bow to crossbow if you want, good video👍

Probably because dual wield was broken this round
Rip Dagamingdude, the strongest soldier ever on red and maybe the strongest the entire game, also rip his sidekick Trigger who also
became extremely powerful.
I think Trigger actually ended up surpassing him, couldn’t tell what level he was at the end but he had over 200 kills which I think was higher than Da Gaming Boi ever got. Both of them definitely surpassed the legend of the ancient Red Hero.

Berserker chain is cool:)
Also Knight circle is good)
A different spawning system is next on the menu
Trigger and Da gaming Boi are the best duo
I have a few suggestions what could be added or changed.
1. maybe add horsemen who would do tangible damage on impact.
2. the fortress of the state is usually not so fortified and it is not so difficult to capture, maybe each castle will have a tower which will shoot? There is no way to destroy or attack it, you can win only by killing the king
Press F for you Da Gaming Boi
I am happy to have fought in the name of god!
thanks for adding my name to the game!❤

Noo thats sad Da Gaming Boi died
The gaming boi, the gamiest boi to have ever lived. I thought for sure he’d win that fight.
Ооо да я ждал этого момента
And for a little variety on soldier types, I present you the Landsknecht and the flintlock pistoleers:
The Landsknecht (2-handed swordsman) are armorless footmen, wielding their mighty zweihanders to cause breach in enemy lines.
Weapon: give them a beeeeg sword(like captain in level4-5), which, unlike regular swordsman, it can be swing freely like the pikemen's weapon.
HP: half than regular marbles (can be killed by 1 arrow)
Speed: slightly faster than regular marbles.
Upgrade: boost speed, but no helmet (give them a cosmetic feathered hat?)
This unit's sword can defend against small arms as well as dueling hard targets.
Speed: Like regular marble.(does not has archer's movement boost.)
Upgrade: give them another pistol on lv2, and boost their firing speed.
I wanna point out, this is the FIRST one hundred man slayer since 3 IIRC. The yellow general and the orange duo. The Green elite of 6 (i think it was 6) didnt come CLOSE to the monstrosity of red's Swordsmaster
Zaria from last episode had 111 kills
“Red is the colour of blood” -Trigger, of the Red Kingdom
I think what truly made the settlements (or rly any of the lvld units) op was the free full heal after every fight
I agree but they also should heal, maybe a slower heal over time could work?
Maybe have it like every time a unit is maid in that village all units heal 1 hp (archers doing 0.5 hp) up to there max health
Yeah, units getting free max health after each battle is a issue.
I don't think that's a problem. I just feel those units should move out after a period of time.
All hail DaGamingBoi and Trigger, greatest warriors in all the land
I just realized there are 2 less villages where the archers spawned.
Yea, map is asymmetrical for the first time.
@@lostmarbles2d Red Duo was sick! Beserker and the Commander! Taking care of the enemy themselves as the Red villages rebuild forces.
After gaming boy died trigger refused to lose since he was his right hand man till he was sent to his outpost, green just had numbers, respect to trigger.
Ok, I see a lot of fun ideas in the comments so maybe I can drop mine
Let's say a later game "cataclysm" as you may call it, something similar to the massive events in a game Battle Brothers.
For example, once 20 min is passed the game will pick one of the few "end game scenerios" launches, most if not all of them should probably be other armies that would spawn from certairn point in the map, for example:
-Necromancer, he spawns in one of the forests and acts as a magnet for his undead to follow, at start they are relatively small to the rest but the key thing is that after each battle necromancer resurrects ALL of the enemies he defeasted as skeletons, lets say they can take two normal hits and have very short range claws, maybe a weapon they wielded once alive but no extra hitpoints, once he attacks a minor settlement he just lives it independed but filled with all the defenders turned skeletons.
If the lategame is too boring, add an endgame crisis.
-Paradox Interactive
@@lostmarbles2d I suggest adding a horizontal/vertical river in the middle of the map for protection, your army crosses the river if they touch one of their ports
Suggestion :)
Lizard Folk invasion - similar to orcs, they will spawn on a random corner of the map, these are fast marbles with a decent resistance due to their scales, they use primitive hatchets and clubs but they also have ranged archers which arrows poison the troops they hit.
24:50 The fight we've all been waiting for.
i love how even after so many wars, no marbles have been able to live up to the legends of old: the red hero, then later the 2 orange guys and the yellow guy.
the only time the recent wars have come close to producing another legend like that was the last one with Zaria the bow goddess and her posse.
He stays alive until he is literally the last one standing, and almost defeats the rest of the army, but every ball has it's limits as they say.
this video was by far one of my favorites, these are the kind of hero stories i was looking for
It was more because all of the dual wielding units are fucking broken OP in this one rather than actually being good from leveling up.
i need more
Anya the grey knight: to you this is the day you finally vanquish the legendary grey knight order. To me, its a slow Tuesday.
Marble Kingdoms!
Map: Not sure about the small map. I do like how the armored marbles aren’t the only ones in the center, should help them get into the game a bit more(although this instance turned out to be a pretty bad example of what this could be)
3:15: I’m in support the gray marbles now, sorry green I’m not with you for this video.
I didn’t notice any other updates if there were any so just a few thought on the video:
-It was an honor to fight and die for the freedom of the gray marbles. Fight on brothers and sisters o7.
-Da Gaming Boi might be the most impressive marble in the series so far, only 20 minutes in and he’s at over 100 kills and at level 7, a level not attained by any other marble in the series history.(edit: trigger reached over 200 kills and level 8, but just farmed with an army of other axes to get there, while Gaming Boi destroyed armies by himself)
One suggestion for an update: if a color that lost their army(red in this case) build up enough in their remaining holdings, they could form a new army.
16:37 oranges: 25 v 2? Easy
Da gaming boi: oh, really?
Orange 5 minutes later: *retreat*
This series you have made is better than all of your previous content, I love this so much. It feels like an actual storyline. The length makes it even better.
The Red Vs Orange War. More commonly known as...
The Red Vendetta
that was really cool!
This might be the best episode yet of this series
How about adding horses? Like just faster units.
Also can you add cilivians? Like farms with them.
I love the marble kingdom series so so so so so so so so so so so much please don’t stop doing them❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As always a great video.
That's a good take on it, thanks for suggesting!
But that was easily the best part of the video. :(
Spoiler
I was rooting for green, but I think we can agree that the city states won that one.
Have the spear-men been nerfed cause I swore they had to ability to point their spears? also I think that retreat feature should trigger more often(no ideas how it works). Honestly, I kinda want to see what it'll look like if you include every feature and buff you have so far (A make everything as op as possible kinda battle).
No, but I reverted some general changes to drag for all units (affects max speed), which likely caused them to appear to behave differently.
