    I will be taking a picture of the trees next week if all goes to plan, unless Peter has sold them , looking forward to our visit next Sunday. What would shock me is the price of the pot, not so much the prices of the trees from a nursery. I have a larch and acer and two redwood forests all doing well . I enjoyed the video and have learnt so much from Peter . Thank you Peter and the favourite camera man Josh.

    Cedar of Lebanon forest group - or even a group with some scenery - sounds like a good idea because such forests feature in mythology from the areas of the Mediterranean and Middle East, like when Gilgamesh and Enkidu go to fight Humbaba.

    HELP A BEGINNER!!!!
    I acquired 4 wild trees from the very hot and dry west Texas climate. They were junipers and pinyon or ponderosa pines. I don’t have any specialty bonsai stores around me here so I made my own bonsai soil using some potting soil we had left over, sphagnum moss, and some perlite for drainage. I’ve got them in bowls with good drainage and have been watering them at least every 2 days if not every day. The summer temperature where I’m at ranges from 26c-40c (80f-105f) and all of my plants on in direct sunlight. I’ve noticed some needles starting to brown on a couple of them and I would hate for them to die. If you have any information to help PLEASE send it my way.

    • @dptreesculptures7080
      @dptreesculptures7080 2 роки тому

      We have nothing like those temperatures in the uk at least not very often, but Pines and Junipers are used to dry and harsh conditions, it may be just natural die back or I have found from experience we can sometimes kill them with kindness by overwatering. I find best chances of survival when I have collected trees from the wild is to try and create the same conditions as they were growing in, certainly water when the soil has dried out but perhaps not every day mist spray the foliage every day and definitely keep in the shade until there are signs of new growth. Hope this will help ……..
