I read a book about how poorly he was treated and considered, and it was pretty moving. But his poor treatment was probably not the reason he died, as the real cause was probably the same that killed his elder brother (also called Louis) in 1789: genetic disease. Inbreeding is not a good idea.
There was obviously neglect, and it probably didn't help and worsen his condition, but it really seems like he died of diseases.
First I don’t know if I ever asked about this before but would you ever consider doing a Grace Kelly or Rita Hayworth videos on their marriages to royals by the way great video
Hi, awesome live history video I enjoyed it. How are you doing and Rani your cat? Are you ready for Christmas? I'm doing well. My cat Benjamin says hi to you and Rani your cat he sends his hugs and purrs. He's big and happy. I'm ready for Christmas. We have no snow yet. Do you have snow where you are? have a great day see you next video 😊
I always found it intriguing that Napoleon and Hitler both wanted to rule Europe (or even the world). And both underestimated the long distances, vast landscapes and harsh winters in Russia.
Always well done. How they justify killing a child is beyond me. I'm looking forward to watching the new movie, Napoleon which comes to theaters Thanksgiving.
Yes I knew his last name is Phoenix and he has a bit of a hair lip. Suppose to be one of his best performances. Can't wait. Especially for may so I can watch Johnny Depp in the Jean Du Barry movie. We gotta wait in the states. But looking forward to seeing the Napoleon movie. He's quite fascinating.
I always enjoy our little chats, I know you are busy, but u will never realize how much you have pleasantly educated me on French history and I always look forward to more
Excellent series. There are rumors that Napoleon II had an affair with Franz Joseph's mother Sophie and was the actual father of Emperor Maximilian of Mexico (remember I said rumor!!).
Well I made a mistake with the upload, and after my vacation time I had so much to do that I had literally no free time for my channel at all. I wanted to upload it earlier but just didn't get around to it. I apologize.
Finally had the time to watch the whole series! It was very interesting and well done! Something I wonder; is there any monarchist element in France today? Like I'm obviously not talking anything serious, but are there people who wish that there still was a king? Because I know there's quite a few Germans, and even more Austrians who do miss their emperors. If there is then I'd find a video about that very interesting.
Hey Plamen, I have done that, normally if you look in the playlists it should be there. Maybe, I can also combine them all together and make one long video out of them, what do you think ?
What the "revolutionaries" did to louis son was unforgivable.

Thanks for watching. I agree, it indeed was unforgivable. I do have to disagree with Roirannoc, I do think the poor child died due to severe neglect.

I wonder Louis the 17th was murdered.
He was neglected to the point of death, imo that is murder.

Kings of France.
Honestly, not sure. Too 'contemporary' for me...

We hardly ever have snow… so none right now either. Please hug Benjamin for me… Rani sends her purrs to you as well !

Indeed. You'd think Hitler would've taken Napoléon's mistakes into consideration, right ? But fortunately for us, he did not.

Is that the movie with Joaquin Phoenix ? I love him as an actor, so seeing him as Napoléon should be really good !

Thanks for sharing the 'rumours' with us. Always interesting to hear.
The revolution and post revolution are some of the most interesting in European history
👍
OMG ! I missed you. I was worried about you.

Can you do the War in the Vendée? Merci Beaucoup!
I'm planning on diving deeper into the French revolution at some point, I will add your request to my list of possible topics. Sounds pretty good tbh.
