THANK YOU ALL for this event. It raised the All-In guest and quality water-level. I believe there is a growing undercurrent of hope that All-In will be a catalyst that could re-center the US politically, and refocus private and public sector leadership, that accelerates best emergent solutions across citizen needs and industries. There is something gestating that could be far greater than the Besties or All-In guests and hearers ever imagined. That inspires me and gives a measure of hope for the future.
Amazing talk today! Keep up the great work Jason and besties. After hearing about the besties humble beginnings I am inspired to start my own business. Thank you for doing these talks. This WILL replace TED talks!
Where was the love for Sacks?! Great podcast. Great conversation and banter. Enjoy listening to all the "besties," but I learn the most from Sacks! #sacksisbestbestie
Please don't quit the pod Friedberg!!! 49:42 You're my personal favorite as you are reserved and back your opinions with research. But this was one of my favorite talks so far from the #AIS. Actually inspiring.
The amount of women I see in the audience is truly inspiring. I know you crafted it to be balanced but still it really was great. Antonio is now my second favorite Antonio next to Esfandiari!
I am generally skeptical of efforts to skew the demographics of events/companies towards some "idealized" norm, but in this case, I really enjoyed the different perspectives they offered, and it legit made the event more interesting.
Really enjoyed this episode / cut from the Summit. I especially loved the Q&A and humor between all the Besties. Antonio should definitely be a guestie on standby...I appreciate the perspective he brings (and he can hang with the Besties's humor, lol).
Ayt - since we're doing this Fave bestie: 1. Sacks - Has flexible viewpoint but always had clarity of where he stands 2. Friedberg - Because his insights are always interesting 3. Chamath - Convinced he has a truly, generous spirit 4. JCal - Truly believe he's the 'glue' of this group Came for Chamath but stayed for all four of you guys. Been here since episode 1. Love from Manila, PH.
My favorite bestie is Sacks, follow by Palihapitiya, Calacanis, and Friedberg last. It amazed me how many people like Friedberg the more. Have a great day, guys
I don't know if you guys read these comments but, I am 54 YO guy with a regular job not involved in a start up to boke to be an investor,, But I am completely addicted to this podcast you guys are brilliant, funny, well informed and the amount of insight on so many subjects keeps me coming back for more. I am more informed on so many subjects due to the fact that all of you have so much information and varying opinions. The list of guests you had here was amazing and the agility to speak freely on many subjects was so refreshing. The way all the guys/gals where not delivering any message just information. To close once again THANKS.. Lee
I’m enjoying this so much. I really wish I was in a position to go to Waterloo. I heard Chamath mention going there. Learn software development or something in that nature. I know it’s a good school because Joma Oppa went there and he’s great at creating things. I follow him on UA-cam and IG. Great podcast guys! Keep it up!
Economies of Scale is what Tesla counted on. They made super automated lines with super high capital, they got the volume and that’s what paid their capital.
18:00 excellent point. Putting CFOs, MBAs, and lawyers in corporations and institutions is a detriment. too focused on bottom line, bureaucracy and financialization. Engineers sometimes are better for the job or someone with an engineering mentality
As a nurse on the front lines of healthcare, I offer two comments: 1. The bean counters are killing not only innovation in this sector, but are driving burnout and personnel churn; and 2. If you're accessing anything less than concierge medicine in this country, it's a terrible experience w/ high rates of error and an appalling lack of communication and care coordination. Twenty + years of technology application hasn't moved the needle near enough.
Holtz complains Nvidia price gouging and this may hurt Nvidia in the long term. Good news it drove Tesla to create FSD board and onto DOJO servers & service. Saab - great plane maker.
9:30 Chamath himself seems to be confused about what is ROIC. It is not NOPAT divided by WAAC as he said; instead it is NOPAT divided by Invested Capital. NOPAT divided by WACC gives a primitive valuation metric that is totally inappropriate for a startup. If anything, it should be NOPAT divided by (WACC- NOPAT growth). Odd that he talks so authoritatively and no one corrected him.
Who is this grandmaster genius Antonio Gracias? Spectacular talk -- pls bring him back again on the pod!
I've just learned about him from the new Walter Isaacson book about Elon! He's awesome
The best guest (after Elon) imo. Antonio is smart and direct, no bs. I like him, and did not know him, thanks to you guys for bringing him onboard!
Antonio was fantastic. Have him on the podcast.
Try pressing the play button
too low energy for a pod
Yea we need him on the podcast.
I heard that the podcast is over now :(
Really appreciate Antonio’s perspective on the European’s owning and funding their own defense. The elephant in the room.

The stories about how the weekly poker game at Chamath’s house changed everyone’s life in one way or another is really touching.
Amazing talk today! Keep up the great work Jason and besties. After hearing about the besties humble beginnings I am inspired to start my own business. Thank you for doing these talks. This WILL replace TED talks!
David is always calm and listening, such a great character.
Where was the love for Sacks?! Great podcast. Great conversation and banter. Enjoy listening to all the "besties," but I learn the most from Sacks! #sacksisbestbestie
Man... these guys make me think of what an amazing, different, and better world we could live in. Really inspiring. Damn.
Never heard of Antonio until Elon name dropped him in his interview, he is now probably my favorite guest.
What's the timestamp in Elon interview?
@@stri8ted Sometime around when he's talking about Tesla being saved from bankruptcy last minute by Antonio and a few other early investors.
Amazing guest! Bring him to the pod more often please:)
Favorite besties:

Please don't quit the pod Friedberg!!! 49:42 You're my personal favorite as you are reserved and back your opinions with research.

@@stri8ted I totally agree with you. But seeing the diveristy in the audience was really amazing as was the engagement they all showed.
Love you Besties! Keep the content coming, appreciate all of you Besties! Cheers

My favorite bestie is Sacks, follow by Palihapitiya, Calacanis, and Friedberg last. It amazed me how many people like Friedberg the more.

Antonio is such a brilliant guy, super impressive bio.
Amazing content, I am just learning so much. By now, it just feels like THE tech conference.

Keep it up!

WHERE IS LUCKY PALMER STOP BEING SCARED
My favorite bestie is Chamath and I think you guys should make a show.
Is pod closed now?
The Head Master in Chamath explained ROIC, very basic though
Y😊es thankyou so much
Chamath stood up for a while and I realized he's the tallest dude on stage!
18:00 excellent point. Putting CFOs, MBAs, and lawyers in corporations and institutions is a detriment. too focused on bottom line, bureaucracy and financialization. Engineers sometimes are better for the job or someone with an engineering mentality
Lol the ones with "emotions" are always emotionally bullying the other two 🤣
Palmer Luckey's talk please!
Exactly @chamath Tim Cook is a financial guy over an innovator
them getting annoyed about Friedberg being most liked is hilarious haha. He's cool but I've always been confused about the obsession too LOL.
Where is Palmer Luckey
