For me I think it's gonna be between Magic: kourend & zeah Ranged: desert & asgarnia But honestly I can't decide on the third region for either style, and it'll depend on the relics we get to choose from that'll decide which style I choose... What do you guys think?
Kourend/Zeah is the same thing. Maybe you mean Kandarin + Zeah? I actually think with all 3 styles you can do well with 2 core picks and then make the 3rd one for fun or lighter tasks. If you want absolute max.. Mage is looking like -- Zeah + Kandarin + Frem (ring + surge spells)/Wildy (cape). Desert and Mory do have some additional mage options (ancients and nightmare staff respectively) but those are also not terribly crazy. Personally I'd rather do V + K + Z. Varlamore has some decent mid game gear to help you on your way to CoX. Make your experience there easier. Range is looking like -- Desert + Asgarnia + Frem (backpack + bouncy bow)/Varla(backpack + spec). In this case I still prefer Varla for a similar reason to mage. That said, neither offer anything critical so I'd still say take a region you like or one that balances out the content in some way. D + A is a lot of PvM so going a lighter region like Kandarin might end up being good for you. Still get the range necklace upgrade but don't have to do a ton of other bosses on top of raids + gwd.
Ya, I get that. I suppose they are removing the quest req from dt2 bosses so it should be possible to do the same for things like the zombie axe and tds.
they are a side gamemode jagex do every so often usually every other year you are supposed to complete tasks and use those points to unlock up to 3 regions there will also be huge game changing abilities that you will get through task completion aswell
Time-limited mode with boosted XP and Drop Rates, also relics and (this year) combat masteries, which basically makes you do stuff faster/better/more efficiently It's the best time to get into OSRS in my opinion :P
@@phuzlon No video diving into what leagues is atm, but I will do some high level overview type vids as we get close (once we get more of the new info/specifics for this year). Other folks have given a pretty good summation here. 😁
Tbh this is the region I'm most conflicted about. I think it's really solid and honestly maybe the best choice with Ranged/Desert/Asgarnia but.. I really want to do Varlamore lol! Would you say Desert/Asgarnia/Kourend is a lot better Desert/Asgarnia/Varlamore for Ranged relic runs? Also this is great content! Thank you for compiling it like this.
@@Jeser101 Personally, I don't want to stack raids regions because of the time commitment. Besides that, V vs Z. The biggest things in Z are the prayer, dhc, and shield. The most unfortunate thing to lose is the prayer. Compared to V you get the backpack and some dif weps that probably won't be crazy. The thing is when I add in D/A... You get some interesting mid game options in V. You can use void early/mid to get you into gwd but I bet Varla armors will be better than that initially. This and if they give you a relic for other prayers then I think V starts to look way more attractive as an option.
That is going to be very pvm heavy. That'd be my only concern. 2 raids + gwd bosses. I'm hoping the echo boss for Zeah will give some mage jewelry to help make Kandarin feel less required. K is one of my least favorite regions but I enjoy mage as a cmb style, so I end up in a similar boat lol.
@@YewJackOSRS yeah it is. As of right now DZ is set for sure and I like all the gear that comes from asgarnia but then I start to think if I go dry on any of the GWD bosses I’d lose my mind in there lol. Also it’s hard being a Mage enjoyer and kind of being forced towards Kandarin
This is exactly what I'm thinking of going currently. Same with you where DZ is a for sure. Fang, Masori, and Lightbearer help round out the off-styles, and provides early game ancients because not everyone can spoon a Shadow early on. On the fence about Asgarnia. I've taken it in the last 2 TB leagues as a melee relic enjoyer and I actually do enjoy GWD, though I'm uncertain if I wanna do it for a 3rd league (4th if we count Shattered Relics). I'm thinking Whisperer would be a great place to make use of the mage relic though. And I do kinda like the PVM heavy content though as opposed to taking Kandarin, which only has Kraken and Thermy. Varlamore is also a viable replacement maybe...
@ exactly my reasons for taking DZ! Plus the echo KQ will drop a great ranged weapon. I was also thinking about Varlamore. You can get your mid game armor/weapons for all styles including mage until you get Virtus or Ancestral. There’s also the hunter Rumors which is great for supplies!
Agreed. It is a top region. Only cmb style that I don't think needs it is Melee, OR if you are already taking a different raid for other reasons (stacking raids is kind of rough time wise lol).

I'm a fan of the older old spice ads cause they were fun. Can't say I'll do something like this every vid but ya, they are here to stay cringe and all I think lol. DVA is a good combo. Really strong range setup, plus good setup for other styles. You could take V or D first and be totally fine. Get the moons armor for that early/mid phase and then gwd+raids stuff later. Think it's a really solid play.
I feel like every leagues people overhype Zeah. It generally has a lot of easy tasks to get you your second region unlocked but everything else is pretty meh early to mid unless you really like WT, tithe, or aerial fishing. It probably has the worst early to mid upgrades for basically every combat style. A rune scim is meaningless since you can buy rune sword/mace everywhere and every other region has notable easy upgrades. Nothing really unique for range or mage until late. Konar is irrelevant since you don't want to start slayer early and you can't even use her early. I literally don't think you can even recommend this region early. Almost every other region has massively better ways to get early/mid gear, prayer training, supplies, money, and training unless you really want BIS FM and farming (which are quite literally the fastest skills in the game).
The way I view it is there is plenty to do early on the skilling side that pushes you to your 2nd area, which fills that midgame gap. You come back later for the raids once you have that. Could argue that if you're coming back later anyway that you take it later. I think that's fair too. Depends what you want to focus on I suppose.

while I have enjoyed this series, hearing "ruin", "ensoiled heads" ect, has almost certainly reduced the number of people who take the series seriously. While I get mispronouncing made up fictional words, all of these are REAL english words. It's like a news outlet misspelling things in their article.
While I agree about reading scientific articles that can't spell word related to their main point losing credibility, I don't think either of these are that serious considering this is a game lol. Where on earth in your daily life are you running into "rune" and "ensouled heads" (I do understand ruins are a thing)? lol. Ensouled heads I'm pretty sure I've only heard in runescape, and runes have really only been in a fictional context. Tolkien, SciFi, etc. Maaaaaybe in some sort of historical context like "ancient peoples would carved runes into the side of *blah*"
I’m not saying it’s something crazy serious. “Runes” are real, actual historical writings and carving. and “ensouled” is another real life word. I actually never played OSRS and only make videos on it via AI generated clips and such. 😉 But also in this league all the raids will drop the 3 big weapons lol.
Little tip. If you don't know the name of something, it's worth looking it up if you're making a guide. You don't want the fact that you called *ancient shards "whatever purple crystals"* to ruin your credibility. I would say leagues is mostly played by somewhat experienced players who know what an ancient shard is without having to look it up. I might be making a mountain out of a mole hill but I find it a bit off-putting when the *content creator* doesn't know something about that *content* that has been around for quite awhile. Would be different if ancient shards were a somewhat new item.
I just blanked on it while recording and figured it wasn't a big deal for that thing specifically. do you not get Vaardorvis?
nah hes in varlamore this year
For me I think it's gonna be between
Magic: kourend & zeah
Ranged: desert & asgarnia
But honestly I can't decide on the third region for either style, and it'll depend on the relics we get to choose from that'll decide which style I choose...
The most logical way for us to kill tormented demons I think is to just remove the quest requirment. Auto completing that quest unlocks too much.
Ya, I get that. I suppose they are removing the quest req from dt2 bosses so it should be possible to do the same for things like the zombie axe and tds.
Why are you assuming echo boss will replace the original? They will probably be instanced and optional
Could be. Would help open up the possibilities I suppose.
I’m new to RuneScape, what are leagues? Do you have a video on what they are?
they are a side gamemode jagex do every so often usually every other year
you are supposed to complete tasks and use those points to unlock up to 3 regions
there will also be huge game changing abilities that you will get through task completion aswell
Time-limited mode with boosted XP and Drop Rates, also relics and (this year) combat masteries, which basically makes you do stuff faster/better/more efficiently
It's the best time to get into OSRS in my opinion :P
look up "leagues 4 explanation" to see last years, there's some good rundowns on the overall changes
If nothing else, your pronunciations are driving engagement 😂 keep at it
I suppose so lol
DZA Mage is what I’m thinking. I really don’t want to go Kandarin again even though I know I’ll miss out on mage gear
@@ReDempTedSpider Wildy and Fremmy give tiny tiny mage upgrades if either of those end up calling to you more.
I usually go Kourend, Kandarin and Asgarnia and it's hella fun 🔥
Nice! Gives a good mage mix while also supporting every style.
@YewJackOSRS I usually try and go for the DHL and run chambers with it. It was fun to use last Leagues.
@@N3urosis Ah ok. Makes sense. That is one I hardly ever think about cause it's such a pain in the butt to put together lol.
en soiled heads
en souled head, dorkus
Soiled it. 😅
Kourend is a must pick for me, best region IMO.
Agreed. It is a top region. Only cmb style that I don't think needs it is Melee, OR if you are already taking a different raid for other reasons (stacking raids is kind of rough time wise lol).
isnt stealing artefacts one of the best xp methods in the game? last leagues i combined it with bankers note to unnote ore and superheat while i was running lol
@@iitalics I think it's fallen down the list a little with some of the more recent additions or buffs, but ya it should still be the same XP it was. So not like it's bad by any means
It is very high for combo xp if you multi skill while running
Where is the tanner?!?!?
@@ammoposada4427 Forthos dungeon has one, and if you complete the quest south of the farming guild then you'll get one over there as well.
Man you making me to rethink my plan for the leagues 🤦😁
What's the current plan looking like? 😁
@YewJackOSRS WAM and going meelee if theres something like berserker , but last year I used range build and said to my self , that next year I will use mage (not my favorite style ) but now I Im thinking mage and KWZ 😁
@@dariusdigaitis8592 I do think mage is eating good this year right now. Basically only need Z to do a mage build, so you get tons of flexibility. ZKW is good. ZKF is good. ZKM and ZKD even work decently well, though end up more pvm heavy.
@@YewJackOSRS one raid is enough for me😁 dont have that much time 😁 used ZFA last year whant some change this year 😁
@@YewJackOSRS BTW great content man , keep it up 👍
Ok I'm sold on Zeah as range. Starting Wild and this will be my second region
Nice! Gl. 😁
The catacombs is so tempting but when it's absolutely packed full of people it's quite a miserable experience. I'm so excited for leagues but I am still no closer to picking my third region than when I first heard the announcement. 😅
Ya, true. I know folks have suggested upping monster spawns for a bunch of activities, so we might see that change this league.
Maybe Varlamore will tempt you as a 3rd region if it isn't in your first 2? 😉
@@YewJackOSRS Varlamore and the Desert have my attention currently. I'm picking mostly for solo content I enjoy and those areas have a lot to offer for it. I like Morytania but I feel like I would rather replace the Desert with it than take both. I don't care much for maximizing my power or points but some unique gear choices could definitely tip the scales for what I pick. Varlamore stays though, I need the practice. 😅
@@Lucas_Serious Ya, I get not wanting to stack the raids. V + D .... you could probably do for T/F/K/W as your last pick. Would keep the time req on the lower end. Just whichever one you like the most, since power/synergy isn't the main concern.
you should really remake these videos before leagues drops. Could be good for your viewer retention.
I don't think I have time for that lol. I am planning on doing some sort of summary style vid though that will contain a more condensed down version of this info -- probably similar to what I did for the area tier list vid.
your subscribe bits are cringe af but im here for it. very entertaining and effective (at least on me). I did kourend last league so probably going to take varlamore this time around to do something different plus i haven't explored varlamore very much since release due to taking a prolonged break from osrs. my current plan is DVA but might change once we see relics and combat masteries
@@AscendantExile You might find it fun to know I cut out about half of my own cringing every time I do one of these lol. End of the day though, I also prefer to make it something a little over the top rather than a generic "please like and subscribe" cause that's just so boring.
Bros pronunciation really grinds my gears lol
Can't promise it'll improve, but I will say that all the people pointing out rune have made me more aware of it if nothing else lol.
@@YewJackOSRS Dont forget "enSOILED" heads instead of "enSOULD" XD
@@iamme201 Ya, Idk where that one came from. I'm sure I heard it from another YT'er at some point and it just stuck that way. en-soul-d feels so weird to say lol.

one more day till varlamore 🤞
It's coming friday. 😁
League should be starting 6am CST historically
@@LastTexan We'll have to see what they do. It could be that early in which case I'll be a few hours late to it but might be for the best since they sometimes have to do rollbacks around the start lol.
It is according to the Leagues discord.
@YewJackOSRS Very true, lol. I always wake at 4am for the 2 hours of planning and formatting all tasks to my spreadsheet. Last league I had to play on mobile since we were locked out of the Jamflex launcher for 6 hours 😭
@@LastTexan Rip lol
while I have enjoyed this series, hearing "ruin", "ensoiled heads" ect, has almost certainly reduced the number of people who take the series seriously.
I’m not saying it makes everything you say irrelevant, but people subconsciously make judgments based on stuff like that. Just thought as a creator you’d be interested in what your audience’s critiques 🤷♀️
@@primerib77tanner4 Eh. Is what it is. Sort of skirted my question but that's alright lol. I can assure you that people very consciously roast me about this stuff. 😆
I do appreciate what folks say, and negative or otherwise I'm the one reading and responding to all the comments. Can't promise I always make changes people suggest, and in this instance I'm just not that concerned about it. Bigger fish to fry sort of deal. That said, with the amount of people that do give me a hard time about it I may get beaten into submission eventually lol. It does half make me want to just never pronounce anything correctly though too. 😈Maybe that's the little rebellious streak. I digress though.
Whether you decide stick through my horrible englishing or not, thanks for watching and commenting. 😁
I mean if you want me to answer the question, I interact with those words every time I log on. no one was skirting it, I honestly thought it was rhetorical considering the name of the game is ”rune”-scape. I’m not saying it’s life or death, but just a scroll thru the comments shows that a lot of others have suggested the same. Take it or leave it, I guess.
Has this guy ever played osrs? First he said you get the shadow from cox, then scythe? Uhhhh
I actually never played OSRS and only make videos on it via AI generated clips and such. 😉
But also in this league all the raids will drop the 3 big weapons lol.
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Damn man... saying rune as "ruin" is one thing... but ensouled as "ensoiled"?
If I said my favorite letter is "I" would that make it better?
Oh no. Does that make me self-centered?! I'm not helping my case am I? lol.
Haircut please 😊
Never!
There are quite a few things I have to stop and look up actually while recording - not because I've never heard of it but because you just run into blanks. Not saying you're wrong, just the decision I made in this particular instance.
I mean I keep watching your videos because I find them very informative. Even the most skilled players need reminders of things, especially the early to mid game. I still can’t narrow down my area unlocks.
@@midaswell_vr I'm working on an overall ranking for areas that I think will help with that. Will be a bit of a high level call out to some of what I've said in these deep dives and seeing how that fits together with everything. I know everyone is a bit different when it comes to what is important, so I'm trying to include enough info that you could make your own tier list if mine doesn't jive with what you're wanting to do by the end of it.
I'm also planning on talking area combos a bit closer to the league release once we've gotten most of the info.
@ thanks for the dedication, looking forward to seeing more
