If you are blowing thru the travel and you don't want to add more psi to your fork, just add a bottomless token or two, and you wil see a massive difference. The new Range look amazing, and must be a beast to ride. Cheers from Croatia🤙🤙🤙🤙

this was my dream bike 15 years ago talking to DAVE TURNER DH BIKES are great if live in a ski resort but general freeride and enduro style this is best
That’s an awesome looking weapon! I have a 2003 Balfa BB7 high pivot & I LOVE it! I lengthened the front end by 100mm as the reach was tiny, updated to boxxers with charge damper, it has Cain Ck DB Coil shock & updated to 27.5 wheels. The faster you hit the gnarly stuff the better it likes it. So back to the subject at hand I would love to get my hands on a current high pivot with 18 years of development time. The way you throw that Norco through the chunky stuff with disregard is amazing. 👍
This bike ticks every boxs on the list for my next enduro and it looks awesome. Unfortunatly its at least 1000€ to expensive in my opinion. Keep up with the nice videos and good luck with the upcoming races.
Dude you are a madman! First time watching your videos and also I have been riding for 1 year only so the speed you go down that hill is absolutely crazy for me. I would be shitting myself
Another great video Lewis, really appreciate that you demonstrated why high pivot design works and the difference from the Sight. I’m not fussed on the look of it compared to your Sight and the other bike.
@Dawson Yes and it takes a while to get used to the ott. never get to the point of good sensitivity, not too much digging in braking and good progressivity.
The suspension linkage is similar, yes. But its just like if you compare a 2020 Trek Session with a Scott Gambler or a GT Furry. You can't reinvent the wheel. Most high pivot bikes got a linkage like this.
you could maybe add 1 or 2 volume spacers in the fork for some ramp up. I got my fork setup soft and have 2 volume spacers in it, that gives me the setup and feeling I want so maybe you could try that. any way the bike looks sick. I was wounding if they bring the range back and they did.
So nice bike!!! Loved this testing and that made me think that I have to do it a few more times on my bike by the way 😅. This bike seems to open some good things for the future 💪 Cheers!
Awsome bike man, a high pivot have been high on the ”to try” list! I have tried around a ton with damper settings, have 0 knowlage about the fork you have, but ! Try adding 1 spacer/token in the fork, dropping the preassure 2.5-5psi, do a run and feel it out, hopfully nothing feels different, which is good! Then you open up the lowspeed 2-3 klicks and speed the rebound up alot, i normaly start att fully open and close it 2-4 clicks! Then you get a smooth inital stroke, and the faster rebound and lower psi (+1 token for bottom out resistent) makes it a super active fork! If your fork dont support spacers/tokens just open LSC a few clicks and speed the rebound up! Have you tried coil fork? You know the feeling from coil vs air in the rear when i gets gnarly, it plows and sticks, exactly the same in the front, the level of confidence it inspiers is next level, give it a try. Coil have solved my problems with sore hands after intense riding days on end Best uf luck to you this year!!
Hrrrr... this bike. Even the pinkbike guys are freaking out on this. I find the system innovative and so sick. - Didn´t take these words in my mouth for long time but "I want this bike" - When its in sag... how low does it go? Do you have any feelings about this? What about fatigue? And what about Norco currently testing dh frames with that pivot??? Can you tell something?
So im thinking about a new Bike. I maneley use it in Bike parks and sometimes for Enduro. So do you think the Range is the right Bike? The shore doesent really speak to me because of the 27.5" Wheels.
youre blowing through the travel on your fork because of the high pivot. in compression and even during sag, your chainstaylength grows, wich in turn loads up to front. :) combine that with a steep headtube angle and in compressions your whole bike moves under you to the back, wich in turn brings you on to the front. one of the few downsides i noticed riding high pivot bikes you are experienced from the forbidden, tho. :D
Props on the video as always dude. Question - When you change bikes, which usually tend to have a different reach than the previous bike, do you try to match the reach with a stem that will get it to the previous reach? Or do you always use the same stem length and just roll with the new reach number?
Not sure how many air tokens you’ve got in your fork but that could solve your bottom put issue. Maybe throw one or two more in there and then drop the pressure so it ramps up nicer while still having that supple top end
How does this bike feel/compare to the druid? How is it for pedalling uphill/longer days out ?just the head angle soooo steep. I'm very interested in trying to get a demo of one!
Been waiting a long time for this to be official, since its only carbon and the c3 has so good spec is a bit out of budget hopefully I can get it but yeah sick bike congrats Lewis
I am not even surprised anymore that enduro bikes are this good on DH tracks because their geo basically makes them DH bikes with a little bit less travel. It's not the times anymore where enduro bikes had 66+ head angle and short wheelbase.
Every new bike coming out now is just out of price. I've been looking for a bike with similar specs for a while and other than the Propain bikes and a couple other brands, the prices shoot up for no apparent reason :( The high pivot is really cool but I don't think it is worth an additional $1500 for an average biker.
New bike looks pretty sweet!
Hell yeah man! Thanks

Nice ride Lew, almost ready to shred on your next race!

had several norco,s and they are bombproof , planted and for me ..the best
you could add a volume spacer to the fork
🤙🏽
@Dawson nope, you just add oil to the positive air spring (where you would put token)
Does the Onyx take volume spacers?
@Dawson I´ve got a Formula NeoPos in my Diamond, that works great. Or you could just put a bit of oil in
@Dawson Yes and it takes a while to get used to the ott.
never get to the point of good sensitivity, not too much digging in braking and good progressivity.
Truly superb video there, dude. The bike looks mint and the riding very much on point. Nice one, centurion.

I kinda dont like the 360°cam though, it seems to take the deapth out of the vid.

Ever considerd making the fork more progressive by adding oil in the airchamber?

Having never rode a high pivot, does the shifting of weight onto the front then help with front wash and traction?
I went and seen you race my cousin years ago you’re quick
Thanks!

Question - When you change bikes, which usually tend to have a different reach than the previous bike, do you try to match the reach with a stem that will get it to the previous reach? Or do you always use the same stem length and just roll with the new reach number?
Same regarding stem. But reach varies on bike I guess so it is what it is!
Sick video and sick bike! Do you find a high pivot can "buck" you on jumps?
Thanks! No I’ve not had any experience of this
Keep using the Gopro Max. I like it better coz you can see everything like i am riding on the bike and bombing down the track.
Thanks!
Goddamn a non single pivot high pivot bike, and it also looks great. Sick to see which direction bikes are going nowadays.
Thanks
Amazing bike, surprisingly quiet on the hits/landing, is that the bike or rider skill? The landings for the most part appear soft and straight flow.
Thanks
