Thanks for the review! I played this a few times at a game convention, but didn't know there was a reprint. Looking forward to to see if I can add it to my collection =D
When I think Russia, I think...Peruvian flute bands?
I love the older reviews 🎩
Very funny @6:36 Tom you cracked me up!
@@grinsgefal yeah that's what I was thinking
Great shirt!
I'm looking forward to this new edition. :)
Though I think It competes for me with the new San Juan edition. Decisions!
I always liked St. Pete's. The market makes this look like a must buy for me. I'll sell off my old copy though.
Even in the little preview picture of this video I recognised you :D:D
REALLY happy they made this a five player, and didn't just throw the expansion bits in a box and charge ridiculous price for it (THANKS STONE AGE)
I still enjoy the original, but much more difficult to get others to play these days.
This could remedy that, but I'd probably spend the money on a different game.
I own the original. Good game, but you MUST enjoy engine-building games AND having an ungodly amount of cards in front of you by the end. Not a huge fan of that. It isn't as tight as I would like and I am not keen on discounts when you purchase duplicate cards. I would rather remove the discounts and make the cards that drop to the second tier cost a flat 2 less.
The big image on the right of the board is unnecessary and takes up room for no reason. Not a good move.
I said that before realizing there was another side of the board.
Great game, better with market:)
I prefer the original art
+Johann Schmidt O.o
Me too!!! It was special and different!!
Julie LeBouthillier >.>
4 years late, but I love the original art. Hate the new art. When I first bought this I considered seeing if I could find someone who wanted to trade their old copy. But I dig the new bits too much.
Aaaaaaaand out of print.
For the love of God, tuck in your watch strap Tom ;-) Sorry, my OCD was triggered!
be honest: concept and mechanism not up to date anymore. even with the upgrade.
Mini cards, low quality components, bland art/ graphic design, victory point driven. Moving on...
+Joseph Lynn superficial much?
If you call disliking poor component qualityy superficial, then yes, I certainly am. Good thing I can afford to be in our era of board games.
Joseph Lynn i disagree with your opinion on poor playing pieces, but hey, whatevs. i personally think that a good game transcends the dressing. it is certainly an improvement on the original game. and i wasnt trying to be rude in case you thought i was.
+Jindorek No offense taken dude. Different strokes for different folks. That's what makes boardgames so great. There are plenty to choose from for all different tastes. Have fun gaming.
Joseph Lynn tbh this game does look very dull. i have no idea how i happened upon it. another game that looks quite dull but is excellent to play is castles of burgundy. do you know any space themed games ? i have eclipse which is great but its mundo lengthy. looking for somethign faster that isnt totally combat centric
Dear Mr. Vasel, please go see a speech therapist. Your pronunciation is not good. Also, before 'diving into a sentence' (c), think about what you're going to say, and how you're going to finish it. It helps, you know... And also, please look up the definitions of 'bureaucrat' and 'aristocrat'... You'll be amazed, they're actually different.
I hope after 3 years, you have become less of a pr*ck
@@keithkelly6026 Not so sure about that )). But I did become an English teacher, and if Mr. Vasel was my student, I would have (perhaps in a nicer way) given him the exact same advice...
@@johnnysmith2011 god help your students
@@keithkelly6026 Will do, not to worry.
