I love crown of Emara and it turns out the creator is a man called Benjamin Schwer, a man who has been creating several board game for kids and CoE happens to be his first game for teens + , It is a great game! Now I found out this jewel out there and it turns out to be from this same man. Definitely going to follow this mans work from now on , he totally clicks with my bg tastes.
This has skyrocketed to the top of my want list however the MSRP seems a bit ridiculous, $60 am I missing something? I really appreciate you mentioning this in your top 10 Gen Con list though otherwise I’m not sure I would’ve known about it, thanks Zee!
I have only played it with two so far (3 games in total). It plays well in my opinion, we have both enjoyed it. No third dummy player needed like in the original 7 Wonders :)
You nailed it on the head. If 7 Wonders and Splendor had a baby, Hadara would be that child. However saying that, easier to teach and plays quickly which is a big plus for me
I like your review format. Thanks for the review, Zee!
I told you you were keeping blue cards in the wrong place, but you didn't listen!
Good review, thank you. I watched another review and they waited so long to mention the drafting. Which is tops for me.
Really got a 7 Wonders Vibe during the review... Will be on the lookout for this one...
This looks amazing. So Looking forward to playing this.
Thanks for the review, it looks great. I usually play with 2 players, so I wonder how well it scales. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it.

Great review Zee...I still dont get why game designers keep going with the "Feed the people" mechanic....soooooo tired of that mechanism.
Great review ! I'm looking to playing it :)
Definetely a neat game and a good contender for the SDJ or even KDJ 2019.
Great review Zee ;)

I think this is the expected price for games these days.
Seems really expensive for what comes in the box.
Thanks Zee!
I'm glad Hadara was in your top 10.
Please review call to adventure I saw that you unboxed it it's my absolute favorite game!!!
Great teach!
Looks like a tight design. Would like to try it sometime.
Any idea how it plays two player? Looks like a 7 Wonders/Splendor mashup, but cant see it and 7 Wonders unless it's good with two. Thanks!

It looks like 7 wonders with all the elegance squeezed out of it.
Zee, thanks for the review! (But for future reference, 'epoch' is pronounced 'epic' :) )
omg hadara so geil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol my name is hadara.....
Interesting mechanically, but oh, so themeless.
The infamous Dice Tower pronunciation of "epoch"
He's simply using the British (BrE) pronunciation - nothing wrong with that.
2019 and designers are still having players feed their people. So stupid. Glad lots of that stopped in 2023... what a shame.
