After completing the Laughing Horse comedy course in 2013, Lubna has become a regular face on the Scottish comedy circuit. She has gigged in the UK as well putting in the occasional appearance in The States. With humour that bases around her Asian heritage, Lubna attempts to both break down and play on the stereotypes attached to her background.
2019 saw Lubna design her new solo show called, “Where are You Really From?” - a question asked by many people on a daily basis. Her reply depends on the person asking her. Early 2020 saw the her perform the new show in Leicester Comedy Festival.
Lubna is also a trained actor and has made appearances on stage, television and film. She was one of the stars of 'Still Game' at the Hydro in 2014 and has also made appearances in BBC1's 'Scot Squad' and 'Armchair Detectives'. She made her big screen debut in the feature film 'Moon Dogs’. In 2019, her second feature film” Christmas in the Highlands” saw her play the role of a baker. More recently Lubna makes a guest appearance BBC One's successful Scottish sitcom 'Two Doors Down', in the fourth season.
