Soon, my Omega 3.0T will be ready! Congratulations from Brazil!
What happened to it
@@nismo3871 I’m guessing a 2jz swapped engine because they are a inline 6L 3.0 turbo
@@zachevans1369 alright?
@@zachevans1369 don't is a 2jz! it's a lotus engine! her car name is "Chevrolet Omega Diamond 3.0"
Not Lotus engine
Just a regular Opel CIH 3 liter
165hp
A coisa é louca. Omega, ABSOLUTO!!!!
I freaking love that straight 6!
its a 24valve 3600cc bi-turbo engine
model c36get
Sorry forgot to answer regarding the steam at the end. The engine head lifted, not strong enough bolts at the time, causing pressure in to the coolant channels. Protrim has after this produced to specs their own bolts, if I'm not mistaken.
what wheels are on it
@@v10lifestyle49 round ones
So you should be sorry
That is my goal. The problem is that I'm having trouble with the head gasket to seal already at 1,3-1,4bar. You see at the end of the film that water is blowing out of the overflow tank. That's my head gasket issue. We've made better head studs now that's even stronger than ARPs Custom Age 625+ together with some other mods so I'm hoping I can boost 2 bar this spring to see at least 200whp more. New video will be posted. I'll also change to racefuel, 700whp was well beyond my plan on pump gas.
Holly Jezus, what a beast for those times.
In our town only one man had it and he was a bar owner and criminal.
VIOLENTO,MONSTRO DEMAIS!!!
Einfach Geil!!! Da is Gänsehaut angesagt!
MONSTRO!
Thanks:) Plenty more to come, stay tuned:)
What a beast!
my Godness.after 30 years i dont known exactly the team made this powerfull engine.made in the hell.jesus christ, what a genius team-worker!!
Saporra deve tá pegando uns 400 km no velocímetro
@@FabioJunior-fn8dx o velocímetro marca 300 , ele zera fácil
I wonder, what kind of flywheel/clutch did you use? Nice job! Keep the opels rolling!!
this car is absolutely sick...
It's not the cyl. walls it'd be the main end caps that have to react the combustion loads.
All I wanted to say was that, having worked at Lotus Cars, I did learn that these blocks can crack and currently I am working on the design of an engine block for a new range of engines and block cracking is one thing we're concerned about!
If you're block doesn't crack, then fine but as an engineer, I do tend to whince a bit !
Standard block, billet connecting rods, Wiseco pistons, offset stroked crank. OEM piston oil squirters.
angry german monster ....
Its not german
@@carlyebaines4108 okay just keep walking 🚶
It's british mate lol
Bri’ish.
The Opels were only Opels by name by that point. All the development was done by Vauxhall and Lotus.
@@Skydrag.V60 hahaha vauxhall is just a rebadged opel,
Boost Pressure is never a Problem, Tuning and Combustion Pressure is ;)

Fucking BEAST of a car every policeman nightmare chasing a stolen Lotus Carlton(UK) these were amazingly fast
I don't prefer Opels,Europeans or Asian cars at all, but I have to say I have ALLWAYS liked Lotus Omega! Bravo guys, awesome car!!

Saudades do meu desse jeito no Gran Turismo.
Can You send me some informations about gasket and bolts? I have copper-plated gasket and ARP bolts I have problem with head standing
3,865 litre. Read info in earlier comment.
Is that still a standard 3.6 block? I'm not convinced it's up to anything above 377bhp. Even at 377 bhp the blocks could crack.
Yes
My Vauxhall Carlton is a 3.6 L but with all the mods I’ve done to it it operates at a 4 L producing almost 650 break hp was about 780 talk
I'm not worried at all that the block will crack. The cylinder walls are thick and we've never seen a block from this engine family cracked. We have seen a block that has cracked at one of the cylinder bolt holes but I have a spare C36GET block in addition to countless C30SE blocks. So the cylinder block is the least of my worries.
Hell ya

Dear Santa...

Holy shit!!
Bra trøkk i den ja!!!
Yeah, I'm not convinced that the block's up to that. Are you just turning the whick up 'till it cracks then?
perfeksjon
Nice car!! Grts 227

can u tell me the Name of the Rim/wheels? :)
when the turbo is getting the boost, the engine doesn't have enogh fuel air mixture, to much air to little fuel , m i wrong?
There ain't fuck all wrong with that, I would love that car
Yep...sounds a lil bit like my 2.6 EcoTec...i call it "Them Boat" ;-)

PQP!!!
Did something went wrong to the engine at the end went it looks like something started to leak and smoke came from the engine bay? Good tuned though, like always with cars from Norway.
+supremefantastic I think the turbo burned either a coolant return line or something else. Seems to be like it (you can see a bit of smoke coming from near the turbo before that.)
693hk/711Nm på hjul (at wheels), 8500rpm (rpm limit), GTX45R, 3865ccm. 1,3bar, 98 RON. Mustang MD-250 dyno. Electromotive TecGT. Mer trykk og racefuel kommer (more boost and racefuel to come)
Is it engine swapped?
USINA !
Please let your someone tells me how I can buy omega lotus and where? and how much it costs now can and if some in worse condition ...
Wow hotcar
PQP CARALEO
epic sound (R6 rulezz)
Well it isn't, as it'd be a fatigue failure, so it'd be the number of thermal and combustion cycles to failure.
With fatigue, it's always about probability of failure. The guy didn't know what output this engine was certified at, so how would he know it'd take 693 WHP? All I said was that some failed at the standard output of 377bhp.
No, I don't. I still got plenty of duty cycle left on my injectors and I got a MagnaFuel pump to make 1,500hp before I need a bigger pump. And I don't aim at 1,500hp.
Here's another Opel Omega, from Finland, STW to be more precise. Not "quite original" :P (It was a MV6) : /watch?v=FYiTif4cafo :P Check the rest of the Outlaw Opel Omega videos from my channel

The Beast Opel
But that's still nothing against the Opel Kadett C Coupe with Lotus Omega engine
How stupid must it be to actually sit in the trunk of a rear-wheel drive 1000 hp turbo car?
Super intelligent
Yes, you are wrong. The engine is tuned for the power it's making with the AFR I want it to have,
May have the body of a lotus but that ain't no lotus engine.
What makes you say that?
Well for a start a lotus engine is a 3.7
no, its a 3.6, ive seen one yesterday swapped into a opel senator and it was a 3.6
Tycho Klapwijk actually u r right buddy. Sorry I thought they were 3.7. The rocker cover males it look like the gsi3000 engine.
Tycho Klapwijk looking at tht rocker cover, that's a gsi3000 top end. 3.0 24v it says on the end of the rocker cover.
Sera Que O 4.4 Ralava Diego Rodrigues ? kkkk
