One of the big rule you haven't mentioned that is actually followed by pretty much every nation (although not by guerilla or terrorist groups) is uniforms. Every army need to have easely identifiable uniforms and soldiers on duty are not allowed to dress up as civilians or dress up as the enemy. Now mind you, the reason why this is the one rule everyone follows is that everyone agrees that this is just practical. If you dress your soldiers as the enemy for a trap, well, they are gonna do the same thing and soon the whole war will devolve into a free for all with everyone shooting everyone because they can't be certain if they are allies or foes.
This is how the US has been able to keep terrorists at Gitmo and on Black sites. They are not legal combatants, and as such, they are not subject to protections under the Geneva Conventions. @@xxXXDrDreXXxx The ICC has police force? Say US generals torture a prisoner of war - captured in camera. The ICC can swoop in and jail the general?

Hollow-points bullet that the police uses: NOT OK.
Nuke: OK
Any WMD used in a civilian area would legally be not OK.
Hollowpoints not OK because they're judged excessive to neutralise an enemy
Hollow-points being banned is part of the Hague Conventions, many countries did not sign this particular treaty
I heard it has something to do with unnecessary suffering as hollow points are mostly to wound and prevent collateral damage.
Nukes are actually illegal under the nuclear arms treaty
@@strickersniper7909 drugs are also illegal
"In war you cant use pepper spray"
Police be like: its only in war
Your right, it can’t be used in war but it can be used on our own civilians to deter violence and riots, but what would you replace tear gas with? Bc it’s very effective in stopping riots and pushing people out of riot zones
@@redjupiter2236 it was a joke, but i would implement dictatorship, with military everywhere, if people were to try and riot they would be incarcerated or killed. Or just use regular rubber bullets and water canons, which isnt illegal to use in war.
@@redjupiter2236 in our own, so you want to put it inside civilians, thats some next level tactics, were you thinking something like implementing some type of canister inside a human body that would activate if they were in a riot, or maybe some type of brain implant that would mirror simmilar effect of tear gass.

“What is the point of the genevia convention if our enemies are not willing to follow the same guidelines?” A famous or infamous quote depending on how you look at it. But the so called “rules of war” sort of puts the countries that agree to follow them at a severe disadvantage when fighting against someone who has no intention of following them?
