Good evening to you all my friends and blessings from here in my city! Thanks for watching, yes it's crazy to buy seeds each year when it's so simple and easy to harvest and store them to plant year after year and each fully mature flower head contains 50 or more seeds, why buy seeds, lol.
Bumble bee junction told me about your channel. Specifically this video, thank you for the wonderful information!! I'll be binge watching your videos. Thank you! 😀👋
Saturday afternoon greetings to you Kathy! It's fantastic to have you here with us my friend and we truly appreciate your support! Sending you blessings of success in you every endeavor along with increased prosperity, we hope that you enjoy what you see here!
Greetings to you Linda! Thank you my friend, and we finally got some rain here just now so the drought is officially over thankfully 🙏🏾 Enjoy a fantastic evening there in your city!
Yes my friends the Marigold is one of the few flowers that practically nothing will eat or pick on, it is a great rodent repellent as well which is mainly why I grow it here because we have so many squirrels here and they tend to dig up flower beds in search of acorns or while burying them lol. And each flower head contains 50 or more seeds so harvesting them for replanting is very practical as well as super easy. Just store them in sealed containers if you intend to store them long term.
Thanks for this video, super helpful! I've planted marigolds for the first time this year and was won drink how easy it would be to save the seeds once they've gone to seed! Good video 👍
Hey Eric Bumblebee Junction told me about you and to rell you they said hello. I trust them in that they say you are a good one to learn from so I am subscribing to your channel.
Hi Donnie! Tell Mark and Tina that I sent them a Huge Thank You!! It's great having you here with us and I hope that you find our uploads to be helpful and informative, many blessings to you my friend!
Greetings to y'all there at the Junction Mark! Yes it's so easy to harvest and save those seeds for replanting from most annuals, and why buy seeds that you already have in your gardens or flower beds? Hoping for germination in about 4 days here between the heat and the recent rain.
Hey Glen! Great to meet you and have you join us here on our channel my friend! Yes, definitely save those seeds, most annuals provide a bounty of seeds that can be harvested and stored for planting the following grow season. We have joined you on your channel as well Glen, continued blessings to you in all aspects of life!
Great information! My Dad taught me how to do this when I was a little girl, but I think he mostly did it at the end of the season (or, maybe I just wasn't around when he did it at other times.) :) It never occurred to me to harvest the seeds and replant them again in the same season. I stopped in because of Bumblebee Junction's shout out, but I look forward to hanging around and learning!
Hi Brenda! It's great to have you here with us my friend, blessings to you for stopping by! We Joined you there on your channel as well and wish you continued success in your endeavors!
You are most welcome DD! Yes harvest and save those seeds, so easy to do and when you find a variety of flower or garden plant that really performs well in your area, saving the seeds guarantees the same genetics when you replant.
Yes my dear friend, never buy seeds again that you can harvest from what you are currently growing and replant year after year! Blessings to you there where you are!
Greetings to you Dave and blessings of abundance to you as well my friend! Yes I find it so important to do this Dave, not just as a money saving tactic but as a prepping tactic for the future. Being able to provide for yourself and family by growing your own is going to be critical to self sustainability in the very near future my friend and seeds are going to be worth more than their weight in gold, I'm definitely harvesting and saving mine Dave!
Greetings Carolyn, great to have you with us here my friend!! Yes I have been harvesting the blossoms from the marigolds that I currently have planted in my backyard as they begin to wither and die on the plants and allowing the blossoms to dry for an additional 2-3 weeks before removing the seeds from the flower heads. I then store them in airtight containers like Tupperware until I am ready to plant them. As these new seedlings from this planting grow and flower I will harvest the flowers and dry and store the seeds from those as well, thank you so much for watching and subscribing Carolyn we are subscribed to your channel as well!
Yes definitely save those seeds MsLallie, it's easy to do and you won't ever have to buy Marigold seeds or seedlings again once you begin to replant harvested seeds each year.
I love how many seeds you get from each maragold flower hear!
