Most of these Brady Bunch videos that many people are making come out looking and sounding earnest but sterile. The musicians and technical people behind this video are really working the medium. Bravo!
This is a cover of a 1978 Kraftwerk song. One of that band's founders, and a producer of their recording of this song, Florian Schneider, died of cancer in the last few days. That makes me sad, and adds an extra bit of emotion to this brilliant piece of work by the UOGB.

I didn't know Britain had a uke orchestra. I have 6 of the crazy little critters. Mostly I play my Lili'u 6 string (Kamaka). We have a whole bunch of uke groups in the Bay Area of SF and all the way down to Monterey. We play all kinds of music. Some of us are nuts about Hawaiian, but a lot of us play jazz & blues as well. There is a wonderful ukulele program in the schools in Canada that has turned out some exceptional players and composers and musicians of all kinds. Every kid gets a uke. I've seen them play in Honolulu at festivals and they have a number of CDs out.

the cutting room floor is stored safely in my hard drive and I will be using it to blackmail them for the foreseeable future
