when you listen to Ace of Spades full album, be sure to listen to the version with the Headgirl EP as bonus tracks. It’s a 3 song EP they recorded with Girlschool, an awesome band formed only by women that was regarded at the beginning as a “female Motörhead”
I'm a lifelong Motorhead fan, they'll always be my all-time favorite band. Those early records were my introduction to Motorhead and how I fell in love with them, so they'll always be special to me. Since you like Bomber so much, I'd highly recommend getting to Overkill, Ace of Spades, and Iron Fist when you have the chance. You won't be disappointed.
@@KevPage-Witkicker Listen to it more - it will grow on you. I first saw Motorhead on the "Bomber" tour & loved those albums of that time. Now, "On Parole" is easily my favourite Motorhead album with "Fools" being my favourite song but "Leaving Here", "City Kids", "On Parole" are all classics & there's not a bad song on the album. Larry Wallis was a great guitar player (RIP Larry)
@@ANationalAcrobat-qj2dl Dude I have, it didn't, three songs I like but I much prefer their later output. Rock N Roll's my favourite, followed by Bastards and Orgasmatron. We all have different tastes.
@@ingobordewick6480 I saw them another two times at Hammersmith Odeon, London and was in the front row leaning over the stage. It was already deafening and the crowd kept on chanting 'turn it up, turn it up'. I can remember going into school the next day and all I could hear was a ringing in my ears. I'm an old man now and have definitely lost some hearing.
@@MTB-Idle I saw them at the tender age of 14 at an all dayer at Port Vale Football ground in 1981. Ozzy was supporting them after recently leaving Sabbath. The ticket actually had Sabbath supporting them on it but whatever happened Ozzy did it with his band. Motorhead were great and had the Bomber thing come down out of the top of the stage with Lemmy sitting in the front of it using his bass as a tommy gun. A funny thing that happened was Lemmy suddenly went ass over tit on stage. He got up and said ''I've broke the effin' heel off my effin' boot. An excellent gig and the only time I ever saw them live.
I bought the record when it came out because of the artwork. 😂 This, Ace of Spades and No sleep 'til Hammersmith are my favorite albums of Motorhead. It's the essence of Motorhead. The guitarwork of Fast Eddie is awesome. I love it !!! ❤
Hello from France , At the time, they were considered the first "extreme" metal band, then there was Venom, then the whole Bay Area thrash metal scene.... Motôrhead forever 💣🤘
Great review, great album. But the Overkill album is Motorhead's masterpiece. This trio really didn't get better than that. Though the Ace Of Spades album is not too far behind it. And the live No Sleep 'til Hammersmith is as great as you might hope.
Great review. Overkill,Bomber,Ace of Spades albums from the classic years. Know you love early Damned from other reviews, the bassist who left,Algy Ward started a band called Tank. Released a few albums, try the epic "War Drags Ever On".
This is unrelated but I noticed you are missing 2 of the biggest genres of metal on your channel (not to mention these were the only 2 times Metal went mainstream for a sec) but I’m referring to Hair Metal and Nu-Metal which were despised by old metal heads at the time bc of how popular and different they were XD Anyway, personally I prefer if you checked out other heavy bands but here are some of the surface level starters :) Hair Metal: - Whitesnake, “Is This Love - Mötley Crüe, “Looks that kill” - Poison, “Talk Dirty to Me” Nu-Metal: (warning! You are gonna headband constantly) - Korn, “Blind” - Disturbed, “Down With The Sickness” - Limp Bizkit, “Break Stuff”
Kira, Motorhead & Ozzy" Ain't a nice guy" Amazing lyrics they are simple and true for some people. Your chair dancing & moves are 🔥. Thanks for being you. You rock
Always loved this album. The bass sound is just awesome. Lemmy was using a Hagstrom 8 string bass a lot at this time, tuned in octaves, so like a 12 string guitar. Fat and filthy
Motörhead and The Damned were good pals. Check out Ballroom Blitz cover. Great track by Sweet done by The Damned with Lemmy on bass. You won't be disappointed 😊
Lemmy WAS IS AND WILL EVER BE the GREATEST ROCK N ROLLER IN METAL HISTORY!.......glad to see hin about 20 times live....."GOOD EVENING,WE ARE MOTÖRHEAD...AND WE PLAY ROCK N ROLL!"
As a kid back then, there were various 'scenes' one could try and fit in, but for me it was difficult. I wasn't quite as aggro as my punk rocker friends, nor did I have the swagger of my metal pals...and then there was Motörhead! Finally! A scene for me! The 'rocker' scene! Suddenly I kinda fit in with everybody. Okay, some of my punker friends didn't like the greasy biker dudes, and some of my metal friends couldn't deal with the sheer ugliness and aggression [this was still a few years before thrash solidified the whole thing], but here was a scene for me, and I loved it! Still do.
Overnight Sensation was a strange choice tbh. Not their best album.. Bomber is good, but if you enjoyed it you should love Overkill and Ace of Spades which are both way better 🙂
Classic Motörhead … out of Hawkwind PXR 5 generation … Lemmy and the rest of the guys were just ripping up the audiences. They were insane the band and the fans 😂 Try Hawkwinds Flying doctor for an an Antipodean slant on the rock punk theme.
The best line-up of Motorhead, RIP to all three.

You should also check out Lemmy's band before Motorhead, Hawkwind. Their album Space Ritual is great.
My first ever concert back in 1979 at age 15 was seeing Motorhead live at Bingley Hall in Stafford, what a great experience and I love this album
Damn, and you are still able to hear stuff? I was deaf for three days after seeing them. LOL

As a smoker I was able to break off the filters of a couple of cigarettes and use them as makeshift earplugs.

Hello Kira 🎸 ! - Just saw Interpol opening for Smashing Pumpkins 🎃 .. Good show. Keep Rocking 😊
This whole reaction put a much needed smile on my face!!
Really glad you enjoyed it. A good reaction
You should see what they do live when they play Bomber. :D
You gotta listen to Blackwater Park by Opeth.
It’s a mind blowing experience!

If you want the best version of the Bomber song, listen to the live version from No Sleep Til Hammersmith. The BEST!
Pretty much every song is better live on that classic album than their album versions.
This is the Motorhead that I knew and loved back in the late 70's and early 80's, RIP Lemmy, Phil and Eddie.
Bomber, Ace Of Spades, Iron Fist are my favorites
Great review, great album. But the Overkill album is Motorhead's masterpiece. This trio really didn't get better than that. Though the Ace Of Spades album is not too far behind it. And the live No Sleep 'til Hammersmith is as great as you might hope.
So true, Overkill is #1 for me as well
bomber is better than both
Think this was the third album i ever bought and it was great to be reminded just how good it is ...
The way she says Bomber!! Sounds like Bummer!! 😅😅😅
Girlschool does a great cover of Bomber
Bummer by murderhead is my favorite song!

Im re-learning to listen these álbuns... And How i love them. Thank you (ill have to buy them.... Rs)
Probably the best Motörhead-album ever. The Bomber-song is surely the highlight.

One of the best albums! Mandatory for any real Metalhead
Well said ♠️🤘
I think this is their second strongest album, behind Ace of Spades.
I think you'd really enjoy "Overkill".
Lemmy's bass sounded more like rhythm guitar than bass and that's how he wanted it.
motorhead forever👍👍🤘🤘😊
check out swedish rocknrollers Terra Firma - Bomber-cover, a cool take on the song ! =)
👍
You have to check out more from The Stooges and a band called the Cramps that I think you will enjoy. Keep up the good work
I love the Cramps 🤘🏽😎

Orgasmatron. You won't be let down by this one, believe me 🤘 Rock on, lady!

Bjork vespertine pls
