I came from SDRplay page and there they say it is so simple "a 12 year old" would understand. You know, some of middle aged guys like, though not new to computing, are still reluctant and have dificulty understanding and aborbing all this. For example, I tried to use Virtual Cable once and I made a mess, for the tutoring messages I had were different from the ones at VB page and it took me a while for me to return things to normal. So I was happy to know you also have a video where you teach how to make use of VB, which I really would like, so that'll be able to start decoding digital modes such as J65, FT8, DRM and even use DSP. I'm very thankful for taking your time to make and share this video.
@@TechMindsOfficial I have WSJT-X and I like FT-8 but my programs clock vs my computers is all messed up but i like SSTV and I think those modes have been forgotten too
I wonder if the various planetary probes (like the Voyagers and New Horizons) use SSTV to transmit their images. It may seem possible even with the very weak signals.
@@TechMindsOfficial yeah, probably is more likely digital. An analog signal would degrade rather quickly over huge distances. Just getting the gears cranking upstairs. :)
I could never get VB audio cable to work with SDR Sharp to decode digital signal. I take that the SDR Play RST Duo is a much better hardware product than the $20 RTL-SDR radios and the SDRuno is a much better software package than the SDR Sharp. What would the advantage be to have the duo over their other models? I will have to go and look for the video when you started with the SDR Play RST Duo.
I’ve successfully used cheaper SDR dongles to decode digital signals with SDR#. It’s difficult to give a reason why it didn’t work for you but it could be that you didn’t have the modulation set to WFM which for me, seems to be more reliable. Then just adjust the bandwidth so it just covers the digital signal. The DUO is a great piece of kit and I would highly recommend it. It’s my main SDR these days. Having 3 antenna ports plus two independent receivers is just great :) The RSP1A is another great SDR :)
@@TechMindsOfficial Thanks! I had bought the RTL-SDR units before I had a good understanding ham radio. I was able to setup a scanner using two dongles at one time. I can't remember what the software was called I think it had its own VB cable of sorts built into it. Once I get a HF radio and use that I think the Duo would be a good investment. Thanks Again!
Hey pal ! can i able to render the image from pre-recorded .wav format without using the sdr dongle. Your answer would be more helpful to me.I'm an absolute n00b to RF.
@@ursa_margoI figured it out man. Anyway thanks for your answer after one year. If someone searching for this means your answer would be really helpful. 👍
hi there , do u think i would be able to pick SSTV with this model www.sdrplay.com/docs/RSP1Adatasheetv1.9.pdf??? it is the RSP1A from the same maker as yours but i dont know if it works with that SSTV software
@@ramasetyawans Thank you for great idea! ;) nah jk, i will try out one of my flower pictures just for fun (decoding pic to audio then audio to picture haha) but i wont upload this anywhere, just want to see how it would look lol
Of all the programs pinned to his taskbar, only 3 programs are actually running. You can tell by the thin horizontal white line at the bottom of the active programs (Google Chrome, MMSSTV, and SDRuno).
My ROBOT got too old... and it used too much electricity.
😂😂

Oh yeah , Try getting this running from a linux distro .
You could also try RX-SSTV which is a receive only version of the programme... It also allows you to double the size of the received picture.
I just had a QSO with F4CYH yesterday! Nice.. Barely able to copy here on the east coast though.
Nice! I wish SSTV was more busy but looks like FT8 and all those dull modes have ruined it for SSTV, RTTY and PSK. My opinion only

hope conditions will increase soon, to make some other intercontinental qso's :)

Wouldn’t that be cool! But I would expect it’s a digital packet and would need an enormous array to receive them.

What does SSTV make you think of the possibilities of shortwave "internet"?

This will replace You Tube
Nimrod Quimbus Hihi.Datv or Atv can.
Not a chance. SSTV is great but do you really think the world is going to drop youtube?
Actually the process is not digital, but there is also digital SSTV
amazing!

I have the same problem

that app is broken can not get the inpout from my mic to it
Audio quality is good enough to decode again frames you have captured out from speaker and mic in phone
Keep an eye out for an upcoming video on digital sstv. :-)
How do I automatically populate the lower twelve 'blank white' thumbnail windows each time I receive a picture ??? Thank you for anyone's assistance
That lower frames that are empty, are for transmit pictures, as received pictures are stored else where, if box is ticked,
Does anyone know how do I build a Arduino SSTV Decrypter?
What is the ham radio software you are using?
SDRuno by SDR Play
The other is MMSSTV
What software did you use to capture the screen?
Bent Tree it’s NVidias shadow play :)

yes
i try to scan my image but its broken like green things gitches , how to fix it ?
I’m not entirely sure what your problem is there but it maybe a bad installation or your computer is not powerful enough to run the software.
@@TechMindsOfficial i been try like my 2 laptops and same thing
