2:49 Really curious why you think the 2LZ version has "lost its way?" I picked up my 2LZ, non-aero, non-z07 in July and specifically went with the 2LZ trim. IMO the 3LZ definitely is not worth it, as the options in this trim are purely cosmetic upgrades. But with the 2LZ you get the better stereo, connected navi, heated & vented seats... Most important of all, rear + blind side traffic alert which is practically a must on this car
I have had 2LT and 3LT stingrays and now went 1LZ and the base stereo sounds great. Honestly can barely tell any difference compared to the 4 extra speakers in premium speaker system. Slightly clearer if you turn it way up which is rare given the small cabin. Base system is more then enough. The heated and ventilated seats are nice....the 1LZ has google nav standard and android auto and carplay so built in. Don't need onstar in the 1LZ for nav as you can hotspot that as well if you really want. The rear mirror camera is standard now and I never found value in the blind spot system in any of the other vettes. Value in the rear view mirror camera which is standard now. With the mirror camera and upgraded convex mirrors on the side.....plenty of visibility and coverage.......the 2LZ is 9k more on Z06 and 7k more on stingray and really only get heated and cooled seats......remote start ahead of time and the cabin can be warm and cool. The C8 cooled seats are weak at best as well so really only heated seats. Front sensor system is standard as well. All 2LZ allows is you to get 1 or 2 things of real value and then the ability to unlock more options such as GT2 seats, two tone, stealth package which all cost more money on top. Its a Lambo approach where you pay to get ad personum and then pay to actually put any ad personum options on. Not forgetting the 1 to 2 jump was under 6k in 2020....theyve widened that gap big time. 2LZ is not offering anything worth the 9k premium. I will do a more detailed video in the future. theres some more reasoning for my statement as well.
30 years ago I bought my house for $125,000.00 and today it appraises for $650,000. What do you think any C8 will be worth in 30 years. PS, I live in my house, not in my car and it's been paid for for 15 years. Just saying, no car is an investment and other than some exotic "one off", you're going to lose money.
@@John-jl9de thank you for the insight. When we pass away non of this stuff is going with us. A lot of what we leave on earth to our relatives will be squandered away anyway…enjoy it while you can…

I don't see a car as an investment, I want the car. You pay for a few years and it's over. No regrets on a high car note for 5 years, still love my car payment free, it's not an asset. It's a car I enjoy owning. Stop these shallow opinions on car value.😂
@danlaur7973 definitely want to soon! Trucks almost paid off. Wife just beat cancer so we'll see! Been many years since I've owned a Vette. Looking forward to another!
Paid msrp for my 23 1lt Z51 convertible 2 years ago. $82,000 the most I have ever paid for a car. Am extremely happy with it. A Z06 would be nice. But I don’t need it. You’re car is beautiful.
Thanks! I loved my stingray. The Z06 is a completely different but I am still on the fence if it is 40k different if that makes sense. E-Ray is probably 10k-15k over priced and hearing some electrical issues popping up for people.
Ceramic coating is 200 bux in product and 8rs of work. I've done about 15 cars and trucks now. People paying 1800 for Ceramic coating are getting robbed.
What you are able to buy on the Internet and industrial grade ceramic is night and day. I had multiple brands installed over the years and so can speak from experience. Yes the labor rate is high for paint correction but the product of feynlab and ceramic pro is not $200 and it's night and day compared to any diy Adams graphene or avalon.
It’s been a while since I’ve been on your channel to comment. Wow, I think you nailed it with this vehicle IMO! If I would get an allocation, it’s my color, that Riptide Blue is beautiful, although I’d select Red Mist over it, but my 2022 C8 HTC is Red Mist and I don’t want 2 cars of the same color since we plan to keep it. I’m #312 at MacMulkin, waiting for an allocation and now finally I’m #1 at my local dealership both since November of 2022. I’m thinking of the ZO6 1LZ with Riptide Blue, Jet Black Interior, Performance Data & Video Recorder, Liner Protection Package, Black Recovery Hook, Battery Protection Package, Radiator Grill Screens, Carbon Flash Painted Mirrors & Spoiler, Engine Lighting and since seeing your Spec, going with the Yellow Seat Belts and Yellow Painted Calipers. However, I’m also #1 at my local Dealership for a ZR1 allocation. I just happened to be the first person to make an inquiry as to the ZR1, which put me to the top of the list. Now how much that means towards getting a ZR1 is a great question. The problem is, can and or will this relatively small Dealership get a ZR1 Allocation? I believe they sell 8 to 10 Corvettes per year and there is a sort of formula or gamesmanship for Dealerships to get Upper Level Car Allocations within their District and or Territory…. I assume that’s what is taking so long to obtain a ZO6 Allocation. Dealerships must sell a certain number of 3LZs to be eligible for a ZO6 Allocation is what I’ve been told. So, there are perhaps other factors that enter into my situation. First, it’s a lot of money, but we can pay cash if I sell off some investments. Then, my age at 70 enters. My physical health is not good. I have a number of serious issues of concern. I already have a 2022 C8 HTC with less than 3,000 miles. We have Winter Driving Conditions and a lot of stones, salt and anti-skid material on the roads until Spring. (I’m not driving an expensive car in all that crap!) My driving skills are not as good as they used to be. I don’t like driving at night anymore either. Do I really need this vehicle, or is it for bragging rights? Will it make me feel better and give me something to live for? Should I buy a more practical vehicle? If Cancer doesn’t kill me, 5 plus years of Chemo Treatments, 26 times a year will! Given those circumstances, should I buy this car? Jump Squad, so glad to see you’re still around and seeing this vehicle made my day! Yes, the 2LZ and getting an HTC move you up in price about $16,000 to $17,000 for a 2025 plus those options have increased as well as the Gas Guzzler Tax. Another thing about your car, did you get the Rockers in Carbon Flash? The Rockers looked like it to me. Great Price for the Full PPF & CC. In 2022, the Full Xpel PPF & CC ran me around $7,800. I added the ACS Rock Guard “Mud Flaps” for $529.
Hey Kerry. Hope all is well. The trade market is not great on stingrays. If you have a shot at the ZR1, I would say skip the Z06 for now and wait to see if you can land a ZR1. You can always buy a Z06 if the ZR1 doesn't pan out or they become impossible to get. Z06 markets coming down quick as well. Portsmouth Chevy in NH has a handful on the lot for 6k below MSRP and you can probably get them to order one for you for below MSRP as well. Given ZR1 ordering starts in February based on info right now, no sense in trading the stingray now to only trade the Z06 in 4-6 months. They still have the 6 month rule so hate to see you buy a Z06 and a ZR1 becomes available to you but you can't trade the Z06 for the 6 month rule. I would also hold off on the e-ray as I am reading a noticeable amount of people having electrical issues. I have done carbon flash rocker skirts. I didn't PPF the rockers on this car because I plan to go for a ZR1 and if that doesn't pan out, trade the Z06 for a Huracan so the Z06 is really a 1 year car for me. There is a Facebook group posting Z06s daily for 5k-10k below MSRP so wait till spring till you have a clearer picture on the ZR1 and then make a move is my suggestion. Till then enjoy your stingray. Rooting for you to stay strong and healthy!

I've had my eye on the Durango hellcats. Few dealers have some on the lot with 11k rebates. It's just a little bit small for my SUV needs and the escalade v is overpriced. Wish they made the grand wagoneer look nicer outside and dropped a hellcat engine in it
@@JumpSquadAuto i got it for $85 grand. roughly $100k after taxes and everything. but, i had eibach lowering springs installed, a borla atak exhaust system and E85 1000hp kit. the dealer wanted $104k but i walked away. then dodge came out with all the rebates so i got it down to the $85k.
People should just worry about their own money is how I look at it. But I appreciate the info.. I don't buy Brand new cars and never did.. It never made sense to buy something that loses it's value so fast.. But there are great deals out there new or used.. Insurance is the real killer every month for something I never use.. Me personally I wouldn't be able to sleep at night with a $1000 car payment.. I am poor though so it is what it is.. I saved for 6 years and borrowed 20K from my 401 to get my Mustang GT.. I wanted my title and to sleep at night.. LOL.. But I seriously I did find a good deal, a 17 GT with 8,909 miles on it 15 months ago, it had 1 owner and was barely driven.. It basically had like 9K miles on it. That's like just broke in.. I got lucky and I waited years for the right car to pop up.. I wasn't in a hurry at all and I got a good deal, I didn't really lose to much value when the 24's came out and I still only have 15K miles on it.. But the Z06 is a bad mother, it's basically my dream car.. I love that Z06 and the sound of it..
Mustangs are tons of fun and for sure if you know what you are looking for and are patient, good deals are out there. If this Z06 allocation didn't become available, the outgoing Mustang was on my bucket list. Congrats on the GT man. Enjoy and have fun with it. All the hard work, every car enthusiast deserves a reward to go take out on back roads and have fun with. 👊
try to get to a point in your life where you just pay for cash for everything other than property, some advantages are when you see something later you can jump on it knowing your not tied down. The positive feeling of knowing your shit is paid for house/cars/etc is next level up, just think off your next car mode or take that vacation.I enjoyed my c8 last 2 years, skipping the z06 and waiting for the ZR1 if its under 300k in Canada
Just makes sense to throw the money for the car down on a property and let the cashflow pay for the car so an appreciating asset is tied to the depreciating car. A paid off car is sitting money. Just how I run my math but someday will slow down and grow up with in and out of cars lol
I had a deposit with Whitmoyer since March 2020 and never got my car from them or an update. Such a joke of a dealership unless you are a youtuber, those are the only people to of got one in 3 model years so far. Found my 25 for MSRP in Texas and got my deposit back from Whitmoyer
That is very strange. I have heard good things about them. They had a buyout from a big dealer a little over a year ago so maybe the list or management of it got lost. So strange. If you ever are on the market for a C8 in the future, check out this group (facebook.com/groups/873842844060378) or hit me up and I might have a few leads once the hype dies down for below MSRP. Congrats on your 25!
@JumpSquadAuto they clearly don't sell as many Corvettes as they made it out to be or they would of got some allocations by then. Can't go by UA-camrs on if a dealer can get cars because Whitmoyer told me that UA-camrs don't count against the allocations they will receive because GM views those select people as VIP and will get them a car at a dealer of their choice regardless.
@@LSxDrew Its crazy tho that they couldn't get you a Z06 . Actually after doing some digging something is very off and you might be on to something being wrong. Tallying their vin count for cars by model year against production data...They went from 35 Corvettes in 2023 to 11 in 2024 and so far 1 in 2025. They had 57 in 2021. I wonder if they are in trouble with GM or something. Every year GM has been giving them less and less and now complete shut out. Wonder what it could be. I was closely involved with a dealer in MA screwing a customer out of a car despite a written agreement. They tried to shake the customer down for 20k over the agreed upon 20k mark up after the car landed and sold the car out from under the customer. After a long run up the GM chain.....the customer was given a priority production allocation with another dealer and the bad dealer was banned from selling Z06s for the rest of that model year. Wondering if something similar has been done with other dealers. We had to force GMs hand via the state AGs office to get them to act. Not saying anything like that at whitmoyer but after looking at the data.....you are right, the allocations just stopped big time.
@JumpSquadAuto made no sense to me because I was 20th and messaged a guy who was 6th and he also got no update or car as of earlier this year. Like they are for sale all over now and like you said even under MSRP at some for on lots or new orders. They have 250 people on their list so they basically took money with 0 chance of getting that many and held it until people canceled theirs for refund. Glad I found mine the day before it arrived at the dealer and shipped it to me all within 1.5 weeks of finding the listing back in October this year.
Not on this one. I had the interior ceramic coating on my yellow one and it was nice but I didn't think I really needed it unless I had a light color interior.
I bought it through a friend directly from a Chinese vendor for $1500 shipped. They are all over ebay and amazon. Mine is slightly smaller opening then ZR1, there is a new mold floating around that is ZR1 identical. I have a bigger video on the hood with more close ups and some quality defects......they all come from china FYI. There are some popular stores selling them for 3k....same factory in china makes them as what the factory sells direct on ebay. ua-cam.com/video/goJkew85b3E/v-deo.html
Yikes. Thats terrible. You can get a quote from NCM insurance. I need to get a quote. Ive had good luck hopping around from geico and progressive. 5k is crazy. I was quoted 3500 for a McLaren. 5k for a Z06 seems like hwy robbery
IF you are shopping for a C8Z06, you need to shop the whole country.....because greedy GM dealers can sell their cars to anyone in the country. Find the lowest price in the country and grind your local dealers and remember used C8Z06 are getting sold to prep for C8ZR1. What will a C8 460tq trade in on a C8 838tq ????
100%. Whole Corvette market is sideways. I was sounding the alarm long before any other youtubers last year. Sad GM allows greedy dealers to abuse customers in entire regions but for a little traveling or shipping expense, some wild Corvette deals out there.
110k was the base price when I got mine. 117k was the MSRP which is what I paid. There are a few at Portsmouth Chevy NH if you are in New England. I know what its like to be hungry....sadly/shamefully more then I would like to admit.....but this car was comfortable....especially as a 1LZ. A dumb video title! It depends on length of term, interest rate and how much was financed or leased? This is usually a question that comes from a low net worth individual.
Lol I share the term, interest, and financed details so its all out there......in terms of low net worth.....I will always be low net worth.....always room to be better 😃
Allot of money for a plastic looking car look closely to see how cheaply there put together.. push pins little Phillips screws fake exhaust tips on an on..
Ive had 4 now and quality is beyond good compared to most cars out there. Don't look inside a McLaren lol. If you think the Corvette is cheap.....a 570s might feel third world lol.
Its definitely more Italian exotic in appearance and feel compared to previous generations but I think the C7 front ending maxed out performance with that configuration so mid engine was the only way to get better.

I think you did good on the purchase thanks for sharing the Financials.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it and glad it was informative.
Thanks for the video. Nice job on the car, nice spec. Congrats
thank you sir for watching! Appreciate it
30 years ago I bought my house for $125,000.00 and today it appraises for $650,000.
A lot of what we leave on earth to our relatives will be squandered away anyway…enjoy it while you can…
I invest in the car for joy as a return. Car is fun and allows me to hang out with my closest friends and interact with some awesome car enthusiasts through this channel. Have other things to provide money as a return. This one is Smiles per Gallon :)
C7 ZR1 is almost double MSRP now for a clean example. Cars are definitely investments if you buy with the right options.
Who cares you only live once everything you going to purchase in life is not about generating money later on in life sometimes you just got to sit back kick back and have some fun does at the end of the day when it's all over what did it matter
I don't see a car as an investment, I want the car. You pay for a few years and it's over. No regrets on a high car note for 5 years, still love my car payment free, it's not an asset. It's a car I enjoy owning. Stop these shallow opinions on car value.😂
$1700 a month! A big ole fk that! Beautiful car though.
You could buy a C6 Z06 that will be more car than most people can handle for less than half of what the C8 costs
Thanks for the vid .
Thank you for watching!
(I’m not driving an expensive car in all that crap!)
My driving skills are not as good as they used to be.
@@JumpSquadAutoThanks for getting back to me. If you recall way back, I think you questioned your ability to do the UA-cam thing. I told you I thought you were one of the best presenters and had what it takes. Still my feeling and I always look forward to your comments. Hope you have a Great 2025.
Hopefully we will both see a ZR1 in our future!
@@kerry_glock Thanks for staying with the channel the whole way thru. Always appreciate you and glad to hear you are out there enjoying your C8. Hoping we both get a ZR1 but hoping you get yours before me and can tell me all about it first :)
Congratulations
Thanks man!
I love the Blue it's a beautiful car for sure.. One day.. Probably like 10 years from now when there is a C9.. LOL..
You will get there man. If I can make it to one, anyone can. They are cranking em out in numbers so there is nothing collectable about them to make them special and hold crazy value.
stunning car. love the color choices and upgrades. i paid exactly what you paid out the door for my hellcat durango after upgrades.
@mekrobar7872 hell yeah man. Congrats. Enjoy it. I can't see them losing a ton of value as they are the last of an era and kind
They have a white one in ridgefield, CT 1LZ Coupe for 109k with just one thousand miles. And is a 2024
They are coming down fast for sure
@ they have to, because the new ZR1 I think it starts at 175k if I’m not mistaken, but I could be wrong.
@@angel925100 They have not officially released price. Some clickbait Youtuibers have claimed the price but nothing official from GM or Chevy yet.
try to get to a point in your life where you just pay for cash for everything other than property, some advantages are when you see something later you can jump on it knowing your not tied down.
OMG I know this guy he's a monster at RL
@@joshhenry2925 said no one ever lol. Thanks for watching
did you get int. protection also?
Not on this one. I had the interior ceramic coating on my yellow one and it was nice but I didn't think I really needed it unless I had a light color interior.
Where did you get that hood
I bought it through a friend directly from a Chinese vendor for $1500 shipped. They are all over ebay and amazon. Mine is slightly smaller opening then ZR1, there is a new mold floating around that is ZR1 identical. I have a bigger video on the hood with more close ups and some quality defects......they all come from china FYI. There are some popular stores selling them for 3k....same factory in china makes them as what the factory sells direct on ebay. ua-cam.com/video/goJkew85b3E/v-deo.html
Beautiful car
Thanks 🙏
2k a month on a car is crazy unless your making 8k or more a month
The insurance premium you quoted was really inexpensive. In my zip code, it's approximately a 5K annual premium.
Yikes. Thats terrible. You can get a quote from NCM insurance. I need to get a quote. Ive had good luck hopping around from geico and progressive. 5k is crazy. I was quoted 3500 for a McLaren. 5k for a Z06 seems like hwy robbery
Gas guzzler tax is not an option haha....lots of talk about DCT flush/maintenance with these cars
Haha. You caught me lol . Whoops
In the northeast you find them used for 110k . I seen more than a few
Portsmouth Chevy in NH has new ones for 114k. Room to negotiate that number down too.
3:20 ....gas guzzlers is an option? Lol
Ha. Good catch. I guess in a way, its an option in the US vs foreign markets lol.
Best Color!!
@@KSaw777 I was 50/50 before but have no regrets now. Such a great color
Where is this fabled facebook group? I see no link.
Sorry linked in older videos but forgot it in this one. Here is the group:

This is what I'm looking 4 $110,000 where did you get this ???
110k was the base price when I got mine. 117k was the MSRP which is what I paid. There are a few at Portsmouth Chevy NH if you are in New England. They have a nice red one for 114k....120k sticker so 6k discount. Tell them JumpSquadAuto sent you. Check out this group to find more leads: facebook.com/groups/873842844060378
@JumpSquadAuto thanks big brother I live around new Orleans but for 6k off I will travel lol
@@jesseteague2975 I have seen a few in the Facebook group in Florida actually so check it out and maybe see what you can find in there. Get a discount and avoid the travel. Good luck man!
Plus Credit Score. The insurance companies use credit score. That's crazy. So actually your driving record or experience isn't the main reason for your quote. Scam!
I think insurance in general has gotten out of control. Pay to have it and get penalized to use it.
Was the hood std with Z06 pkg?
It is an aftermarket carbon fiber hood from China. It is similar to the C8 ZR1 hood but not quite as big of an opening as the ZR1. ua-cam.com/video/goJkew85b3E/v-deo.html
Did you say "buyers market?" What's that? I don't know if I've experienced that before 😂
Feels like so long ago since we had a buyers market for sure haha. Thank you for watching!
Just like Poltergeist ....... ITS BACK !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ughh. As long as it works for you. Such a gorgeous car tho.
Thanks for watching. TRX about to be paid off soon so this made sense. Keep cash on hand if a ZR1 deal presents itself

You sound like you're in your 20, you will wise up as you get older! Yea prior Porsche owner brand new put down $40,000 cash payment was like 600 plus about 90 a month for insurance, interest rate was about 2.5% in 2013, 5 yr loan. I was not rolling negative equity all I can say is wow. Hey don't put yourself in a disadvantage in life it's not worth it. The best day is when I sold that car my stress level dropped by 10. Your know what looks better than that Porsche parked in my garage with a plush car cover always rubbed down with the finest of cloths never seen rain low mileage after two years about 8500 miles mainly freeway miles after the sale of that car I know park over 6 figures in my savings account. Yea like that a lot better than a zillion years of car and insurance payments for what ohh wow he drives a nice car, son nobody cares and that's being real.
Your car payment is pretty close to my mortgage, 2.6% rate 30yr fix! 5 acres two story 2500 sq feet living space 1800 sq foot garage, new roof 2024, new tankless water heater 2023, new HVAC upper unit 10G two stage built in dehumidifier, half acre back yard fenced for pets. Home built 2003 custom I'm second owner. Also no HOA and my road is private 1/4 mile long with 7 neighbors which the trees along the way you really cant see most the homes very private!!! See my upgrades for one! make my life more comfortable and my return on my investment will be better than a car. Youngster that car does not have enough room for a bed or a toilet. I would ditch that car tomorrow take the hit now your young and can recover investor your money for a roof over your head damn dude dont you have parents that have good financial advice they could pass down to you good luck!
Very insightful but unfortunately whatever we accumulate on earth stays here when we pass away, enjoy it while you can. Thanks.
Appreciate the feedback and perspective. Definitely on the younger side in life and I totally hear you on investing in the future. For me cars have always been a motivator to do more. I always push the needle a little further to continue pushing myself forward. 5 years ago when I started this channel, my car payments combined were 1500 and that felt like a lot. Now I'm at 3100 a month about to add another 1500 for an SUV and I will be about as comfortable as I was back then. I balance investing in my future and enjoying the now. I envy your 2.6% mortgage tho lol. All my mortgages are between 6.5-7.5% right now. The car payments have the best rates lol Parents didn't leave me anything for money but gave me a hard work ethic and a good engine if you will and I cannot ask them for anything more......cars help fuel the growth. I know what its like to be hungry....sadly/shamefully more then I would like to admit.....but this car was comfortable....especially as a 1LZ. I hope I can report back in a few years even cooler cars and share the journey and not fizzle out. Do really appreciate the feedback and your respectful and friendly tone r2c1!
The fact that he rolled a butt ton of money from another vehicle started the bad investment..
Bro you bashed the dude saying no cares about a high end car he drives and then you ramble on about your high end house you live in lol. I can say no body cares about your house either but if it brings you joy then thats what matters and if his zo6 brings him joy then so be it. Everyone plays the game for a different reason and at the end of the day spend your money the way you want because we will all be the same depth in the ground one day.
That car looks fantastic!
🤣🤣🤣😂😂
I do not like the C8 ! It looks to much like a EuroSupercar ! Hell the C5 and C6 look much better for a hell o0f a lot less Money !
Its definitely more Italian exotic in appearance and feel compared to previous generations but I think the C7 front ending maxed out performance with that configuration so mid engine was the only way to get better.
