Thank you for this!!! I needed it today more than anything!!! My 90 year old veteran dad just spent three weeks in the hospital and was discharged yesterday on hospice but I had to make the difficult decision to place him in a care home instead of bringing him to my home. Your videos have helped so much. The topics I need to hear about have been showing up lately right when I need them.

Thank you so much Danita! I always say that things happen for a reason...I’m glad my videos have been timely for you. I’m sorry about your dad. Consider watching my video about anticipatory grief, it might be helpful during this time.

Hey, I'm right there with you! My dad who is 71 was in the hospital for 50 days and he is discharged tomorrow. We don't know how much time he has left but we opted for Palliative care. We brought him home since I'm working from home right now but our family is super nervous .Good luck!

Ryan Tang I wish you all the luck! If I would have had more support from my older siblings I would have brought him back home. I did care for him for 15 years in my home and while it was hard I will always have that time with him. My dad passed a couple of days after my original comment which I wasn’t expecting but glad I was able to spend time with him before he passed. I hope you get some good quality time with your father and wish him good health!

I’m going through the exact same thing. My mom is in the hospital and Is coming home on hospice but I can’t bring her home to my house so I have to find another place for her. I feel guilty and overwhelmed.

@@CosmosFlow They should be busted! The first hospice agency we went with tried to hasten my dad’s death. I later learned my dad’s PCP sat on their board (that’s a conflict of interest). I fired them. I interviewed other agencies and picked a more compassionate agency for him. The second agency we chose treated him and us so much better.

*When ppl live past 69 yo that means God wants them to repent or Hell is their destination. A horrible way to die. Seems heart attack is more dignified way Our Lord gives a way out?*
