Looks like great conditions and you did great.. Moguls used to be my thing and now if I find myself on them I hope that they are big and long.. I didn't see many rocks.. Little trees can be interesting.. Sometimes I blast through them and sometimes I get caught up on them.. Last season was interesting Copper Mtn got at least their 7th most snow on record.. The snow came by little amounts.. Each day got a couple and they added up.. I heard you got 60 days in last season... Congrats.. I only got 12 and my last day was Leap Day.. I missed the best skiing.. Hopefully this season I can get out more and I would definitely like conditions that you skied at Alta..
You can park at 2 park and rides for free in Sandy then take the bus (UTA 994 line) up to Alta and Snowbird to get around the parking reservation hurdle. The bus is free for Ikon pass holders ($5 ea way otherwise) and runs every half hour. Might be more frequent this upcoming season. Glad you enjoyed Alta. Its my happiest place. The ski school a pretty affordable 3 day camp if you want to up your game.
Nice video. Good job at your turns. I’m a former instructor at Sugerloaf Maine. Thing big eastern mountain. That run on Nina’s looks like an everyday single black run with similar conditions around here. You did well for what you are used to for conditions. Having a dedicated set of narrow all mountain skis that are freshly sharpened will go a long ways on days like this. You do really well for an “intermediate”. I’d say you’re progressing beyond that in some respects. Just remember to keep your shoulders pointing downhill and commit to the fall line when arcing through your turns. Practice on freshly groomed blue/black stuff. Great job overall.
Two comments: 1) You seem to have a "fixed mindset" about your skills. "I can't do that..." "I am no good/strong/ready enough for...." This holds you back. 2) You also seem to believe that your experience should meet your expectations. And if they don't then someone else externally should do their best to meet them. Meaning, Alta should put more signs for me understand ahead of time, OR Alta should make more/less snow so I am not surprised. If you can adjust your fix mindset and expectations, then you will enjoy it more.
Definite pitch on Bear Paw and Collin’s Face since i found myself holding my breath watching as it even looked steep on the GoPro 😂…… Great skiing Angelina 👍…. Love the videos
Love Alta. We usually stay at GMD for a mountainside stay. We did a quick tune-up tour with a guide and he took us to some amazing spots. So if you’re not a local, you definitely don’t get the full experience. Great videos, keep it up!
You've shown that you have the skills to ski a lot more of what Alta has to offer. There's a lot to learn about reading the mountain- where to find the good snow, where to avoid depending on temp and time of day. Alta has a great ski school, and they have 'conditions' workshops for experienced skiers- I highly recommend- years ago, those lessons at Alta took me from a sloppy intermediate to a confident advanced skier.
@@angelinaoutside definitely do the group sessions- not quite as expensive - on a powder day, it's a great way to up your skills, and on a day with mixed conditions, you'll learn a lot about reading the mountain and finding the best available snow.
Nice! Pro tip instead of skiing in between the longer oval bumps ski the spine of it typically it is very soft from the spray from others tails. It would help you taking a straighter path down plus it looks cool
I feel some ski areas in the name of safety should use as many levels as possible. Greens , blues , blue black , blacks , double blacks and triple blacks would be more helpful to progressing skiers.
I would personally love that but I also understand people don’t want to dilute the meaning of single and double blacks. Winter park uses blue black for blue mogul runs and I think that’s a great idea!
I would not call her a solid intermediate skier ... she hasn't consistently found the front of the boot yet, little or no carving of the ski ... I could go on.

That’s good to know! I definitely enjoyed it more my second time there and will be back soon
Just don’t do the bus on a busy day, you will regret it.

nonsensical comment. fixed midset ppl arent trying to ski black diamonds at a lower skillset
I don’t think Alta “should” do anything. I have certain preferences but it doesn’t mean I expect ski resorts to cater to me lol

Love your videos! Thanks for sharing and keep posting. I can’t wait for the season to start!
I can’t wait either! Soon now 🙂

Locals mountain was definitely the vibe! Kind of like crested butte here in CO

That’s good to know! No wonder they are so pricey 😵💫

I’ll have to try that!
careful, you keep hitting steeps and you're not gonna be intermediate anymore 😄😄
😁
yo you are back. you got pretty good at moguls

You’re dust😭😭😭
"Intermediate skier"? Get real .. you're definitely more advanced than an intermediate skier.
