This looks amazing! Huge congratulations to you and the Kondor Blue team! 🎉
Nicely done! Congrats Tyler!
Duuude! This is a killer collaboration!! 👏🏼 Congratulations! I’ve been following you for years and it’s so cool to see you moving in this direction. 🎉
Overall a pretty nice design. Smart how it has a floating 90 adapter to adapt to multiple case sizes.
Don't slow down ........ this will be a hit . Keep posting Apple stuff . every video about Apple on this channel does great
Congrats on creating the product. Very cool to see you take your expertise and create something from it. Wishing you success and fulfillment in the new year.
Made it 3 minutes in to your video when I clicked out to the Kondor Blue link and bought both the clamp and the SD Card reader. As a UA-camr this is going to seriously change my shorts action. Thanks for solving this problem buddy. Looking forward to reviewing it when it arrives. 🎉
Here for the StalClamp. I want it. I need it.
Would have called it the Stamp but might have been confusing
Wow haven’t seen a mount like this before, very unqiue, great design 💯
Was having trouble shooting vertical video while on the slopes today. Couldn’t be a better timed video 😅
Well done Tyler : Happy for you. You deserve it for all your excellent hard work!
Huge congrats, Tyler! Looks amazing!!
Tyler, I have no idea why you're getting rinsed in the comments - kudos to you for trying something new and breaking the mould, looks like a great mount and we'll be picking one up. Keep up the awesome work, mate :)
This looks incredible
As someone who shoots a lot with my phone for my own channel, this is super exciting! Looking forward to the final product.
Thank you for making this affordable. Will definitely pick one up!
This is genius. I think I’ll be picking one up when I finally get a USB-C iPhone.
Matti Happoja gives the list for me as for what I'd want for a case: The option for a usb splitter for audio, external recording, a cold shoe, and the ability to screw on my 82mm filters without anything propietary
82mm? why not a 95mm then
the teasing has ended! this is so sick, dude!
Tips. Add an adapter with USB C + 3.5mm to support lab mic and video out at the same time
Super smart! Well done! Just ordered mine!
love it. grats Tyler!
This is awesome! This grip addresses all the needs I have when filming with my iPhone. Kondor Blue makes quality gear and I know this is going to make alot of people lives better. Thank you!
Great to hear! We made something kind of niche but hopefully that also makes it more powerful
@@stalman It looks super powerful! It is a niche, theres a gap in the market, and I believe this fills it
I don't understand why some people make these products with spring clips that don't stunt well
This is awesome, congrats Tyler ! A great look
I rarely shoot vertical, so I wish there were a good horizontal clamp. Can you recommend one?
Wouldn’t it work 98% as well horizontally?
Arca-swiss clamp in wrong orientation. It would need a side mounting point for an add-on Arca-Swiss clamp for horizontal work.
Preordered! Great idea and looks like a winner. Great work.
Very cool man! This looks high quality 👏 the Kondor team is awesome. Brandon is an awesome product designer.
Hey thanks, Chadwin! We definetly spent A LOT of time considering hundreds of scenarios and setups. Hope everyone enjoys what we arrived at.
@@brandonpetersen10 I think it’s great! Minimal and solid. Now I just need to upgrade my 14 pro and get a 15 Pro to try it out 😆
Great work with this holder. You mentioned usb c hub. My idea would be to have the angel bird reader have a usb c pass through so you can plug your second device into it. Or build the hub into the phone holder. I’d love to be able to plug in an external drive and a microphone.
Congrats! Love it :)
Looks great! How would this work with ND filter attachments?
Hey Tyler. That’s a wicked clamp. Love it! I would also love to see a video on Black Magic App settings that you use. It would be very helpful. Thank you 🙏
If you’d totally lost here’s what I use on iphone 15 pro max:
4k60fps + H.265 + Apple Log + the Apple Log to Rec709 LUT applied to the video via the Black magic app.
I like to use the Standard or Cinematic stabilization and I favor the 24mm camera as it is by far the best.
These settings produce nice enough videos for me without absurdly large file sizes and doesn’t require an external ssd/card.
This is a game changer!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Looks like a great addition to my toolkit!
Man I can’t express how much I need this!
Great idea! Will there be any way to use filters with it?
Very smart, congrats!! 🎉
But you didnt adress the most important thing about using the iphone as a filmmaking tool, and that is a solution for using ND filters for that cinematic motion blur. also looks like the 67mm filter clamp from for example Moment will get in conflict with this mount clamp.
What I really would like to see thats a clamp or cage with ability to neatly fit USB HUB w/hdmi and 2x usb-c, Filter mount with standard threads like 67mm, and ability to mount handles or other accesories. The closest thing I have so far is Neewer cage, which can be rigged a lot, but still have to make a lot of custom stuff for the usb-c hub and ssd.
SO excited for this tool 🤩
Very cool. And reasonably priced for what it is.
This is amazing!
This is sweet! How would you attach an external SSD for this?
I dont want the phone, I want the clamp and the blade hahaha!! I need this for short-form!!
Love how you made this pocket friendly (at least for guys). I can see this being replicated by competition
Just got one! Can't wait to use it!
That looks like a beautiful and well-built design, and you are obviously passionate about it and I applaud the work that's gone into this. But as I look at it I def find myself wondering why, esp. as I have a box full of inexpensive under-$20 all-metal phone clamps from a variety of manufacturers that accomplish these goals: No flex with a rock solid lock-up, 1/4 mounts and/or cold-shoe all over, vertical orientation if desired (most can do horizontal too), clearance for the camera lenses (every once in a while have to scootch it over a bit), fits in a pocket kinda-sorta, can go over cases and diff size phones (or even ipads with some of them)... I use them for multi-phone/cam scenes on all manner of creative stands/clamps/poles/locations. So yeah, not meaning to rain on the parade (that does look really nice!), but it is kinda "another phone clamp." For the gear aficionados this'll be popular maybe? And of course you have the USB thing which is basically a right-angle adapter? Why not have a cord port/channel and mount the phone upside/down or just shoot horizontal and avoid the plug issue altogether? Also, don't most semi-serious filmmakers want to shoot horizontal anyway? The build quality does look impressive, so if that hand-feel is important there is that.
This is a really good start!
I never knew such high quality brackets were available.
The vertical ‘Stalmount’ looks well thought out. Could there be a lens/filter mounting system that slots into that lens area in the future?
Congrats!
The vertical clamp is interesting. I know you designed this for the iphone15 but ive been looking for something like this for the Galaxy Fold since you cant clamp it traditionally (horizontal). The fold allows you to see the screen and use the rear cameras at the same time.
I was literally looking for this exact product a couple months ago and nothing was available. Only issue for me is the USB C port since I have an iPhone 13 pro. Will upgrade eventually tho, so I'll just have to wait on getting this mount. Great job!
This is so rad!
Looks nice, good job with kondor blue
Nice one! But the 1/4 screw mount wouldn't just come off since that piece is hold in place by a magnet?
@stalman What is the size of the PRO-BLADE SSD you are using in the video? I just picked up the Kondor Blue SSD Handle with a 2TB pro-blade. I'm seeing an issue where it detects it sometimes, but doesn't most of the time. I've been reading power concerns with the iPhone 15 pro max. Wondering if you're using a 1TB and that's the difference.
oh I like it ... congrats on your 1st hardware product launch ... it really looks like well thought through so to say ... looking forward to use it at some point as well ... right now i'm testing the Freewell Case + Grip + Lenses/Filters for my channel ... while that option is nice ... its not as "smooth" and versatile as yours! cheers mate!
Thanks! 🙏 it hits a specific niche that always felt underserved to me
Raven Black is a smart name.
Hyped for this!
Great but is there an attachment for landscape grip?
Shut up and take my money!
looks great
Looks great
wow this will definitely be a game changer!
Is this exclusively for the iPhone?
It would be nice if this clamp had a way to put in an attachment that supports circular ND filters. Really haven't found a system that has been great yet.
Awesome & Thanks :)
A lot of thought went into this, nice work! Don't know if I'm morally ready to commit to a vertical-only clamp yet, though.
Embrace the future!
I’ve seen the future and it isn’t vertical. But I love your clamp nonetheless.
@@stalman That’s a lot of TVs you will need to replace 🤣
people shooting for tv aren’t using their phones
@@toadlguy lol they have been for years by phones. 70% of content now is consumed on a phone.
nice! belated congrats and happy new year!
Would this work with my iPhone 15 Pro Max in a Quadlock Mag case?
Tyler congrats, amazing product...love innovation that looks cool. Hey, tell us about filters...looks like it might be a challenge to attach an ND filter in there.
Super innovative product
Have you test it on a Galaxy S24 Ultra? USB adapter and no lens obstruction? No mention of any other phone except ipone.
Suggestion here for you Tyler, what about having a 3 way usb-c splitter integrated into the clamp so you can connect power/data/microphone to it. I would also add all integrated into the clamp an SD card reader or CF express instead of having to add another attachment to it. Think of it has you add the clamp and it's like adding all your I/O ports and media card with a door to protect them from being pulled out by accident. that would be really cool to have.
We talked about usb splitters a lot and all I can say is this will improve over time
This device is awesome
you should add the Middle Things Middle Tally for APC-R Controller
Filters? So many great cages and clamps, however not many are designed to work with filters.
What a sexy product. Nice work!!!
What are the adapters needed to attach the ProBlade?
Do you have any idea if the usb c will be damaged say if u drop it but it’s still in the clamp 😮
It’s extremely secure in the clamp and the usb flexes like any usb cable
Cool product bro
Since buying an iPhone 15 pro max, I find rigging out my phone for ssd and battery to be pretty stressful trial and error. (And that’s before thinking about lens, filters, lights and microphones.)
I love this clamp’s design, but I want to shoot horizontally, and I’m not sure what’s the best approach for that.
Congratulations on the collab. Very useful product.❤ can you please make a video on how to shoot high quality video on the iPhone 15 for TikTok and UA-cam.I heard you talk about magic camera.
You can already search for these kinds of instructional videos here on UA-cam.
Amazing design!! but are we forgetting something as critical as the external HD.... A V-ND?
Nice. What is the horizontal setup look like. I’m guessing over half your audience shoots horizontal for a professional look.
anyone shooting iphone professionally shoots vertical first
@@AniaBnope
Very cool!
What about nd filter adapters? Are you only filming indoors?
We’ve been looking at solutions for more pro workflows but most social content is shot with just a phone and as few accessories as possible
Spring loaded is a clearly better design engineering-wise than all of the screw/knob solutions out there that all of the cheap selfie camera junk relies on to hold the phone in place. The cost of this thing is the only major drawback: $75 for something that will probably be outdated with the next generation of phone design as manufacturers are very determined to cram as many cameras as possible into a phone and relocate and resize them every revision. And it's not clear whether or not this device will work with any phone or just the current generation of iPhone.
I love this but my only worry is that when I upgrade to iPhone 16 or 17 in the future, what if they make the lens area bigger. I hate to keep buying a new rig for each new upgrade
I hate it too and we hope we left a large enough margin to survive an upgrade or two
cool clamp!,,
so cool. don't need it but man! if I was a street interviewer from tiktok I would've bought it immediately with ssd handle! congrats!
Is there a rig setup for charging, and microphone and also light and also, ssd ?
Once we work out the USB hub solution you can. A light and mic would work right now though
Does the USB support video? I want to monitor myself using the rear camera
Yes it does, everything you can do out of the iPhone USB port
@@stalman brilliant device! I’m going to preorder
This looks great! Great idea, but is there any room to also fit a ND Filter? Cheers
Nice looking device, but a bit clunky. I also use a similar device that you mentioned you got on Amazon. I use the one from Ulanzi and I don't have any play in mine. But hope the kickstarter goes well.
it’s not a kickstarter 😅
@@AniaB Oh, my bad!
When you have the hard drive plugged you can't use a wireless mic its one or the other, no one is talking about this, why?
You can use both but need a USB. I did rig it up this way but I’m not happy with the hub attachment yet so I’m waiting for a good one before I can do it all at once
Do you actually have interest in working on a hub? A friend and I have been doing some preliminary verification on a hub/battery grip that we want to charge the phone, power external storage, and provide additional USB-C for mics etc.
I waited it out for a while, because I figured Tilta/Kondor/SmallRig would come up with this solution, but it’s now looking unlikely, so we’ve started working on it. The battery in mind is the smaller Sony NPF types, as those seem ubiquitous.
This sounds really interesting. Is there any place we could sign up to follow for updates on this hub?
@@shadowshapers not yet, no. Still working in very early stages.
As long as it works with the small otter box case you haven’t money
I did try it with an Otter on the non-Max and it worked
Someone needs to make a case that includes an SSD. If I'm going to use my iPhone to film ProRes I don't want long cables or bulky clamps or cages.
You can also buy a $30 usbc thumb drive off amazing if you want
0:05 İstanbul? OMG!!!
