You forgot Brooklyn Bowl!
Yes great one :)
You sure did.. smh
Hi, you could mention the large Orthodox Jewish community it's pretty interesting for tourists
Difara's pizza at North 3rd st market.
Such a Brooklyn fan of Bay Ridge, Park Slope, Greenpoint, Dumbo, Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights,Coney Island. It's so so much to do you don't have to go to the city...
🎈
Grew up in Willie B in the 50s and 60s. We have the best childhood memories and still meet up on FB whether near or far. The best!
Good tips here, for sure. I'd like to add a visit to the Orthodox Jewish community of the Satmar's , in South Williamsburg, essentially a few streets behind Peter Luger's ...Lee Avenue is the heart...visit Sander's Bakery or Koff's Bakery for KOSHER pastries and breads..or just walk around for the experience. On Bedford Ave between North 7th and 8th street is Ana Marie's pizza shop. Not the most spacious or cleanest venue but their selection of wonderful slices are varied and made with quality ingredients. On North 12th St and Whyte St is the WILLIAM VALE HOTEL...they have a great rooftop bar open at 4pm with skyline views over the East River. Enjoy.
THANKS MUCH BETTER EXPLANATIONS THAN OTHER GUYS. ..ALWAYS WE NEED..THE TRAINS CONEXION BUSES..AND GOOD PICTURES TO SHOW LATER A NEW TOURISTS COMING FROM SPAIN AND SOUTH AMERICA. IS DIFERENT FOR US.. KEEP GIVING THE BEST..I LOVE ANTIQUES AND SECOND HAND ✋ THINGS.. AFORDABLE NOW AFTER PANDEMIES..
Thank you
I was over in NYC last week from England UK and visited this area. It's well worth a days visit! We also popped into the Brooklyn Brewery and joined a tour, which was $18 per head. They really looked after us for this, a couple of beers on the tour and then they take you to the tasting room for more drinks. Great info on the beers, the guys and gals there were really friendly and chatty. To note we were a little blurry eyed by the time we finished here!! Great videos keep them up, these were a great help when visiting!👍
I stayed in williamsburg over christmas/new years and watching this actually makes me so sad...wanna go back so badly! During my stay, I’ve watched your videos to find some hidden gems in nyc. Thanks for that and sending love from germany!
L’industrie is one of the best slices in NYC! Burrata is the way to go here. Their squares are amazing too
Williamsburg is a fun spot. I really enjoy the rooftop bar atop Berry Park on the weekends. Great video as always!
Hey John, I just want to say thanks for your great tips! I am currently in midtown Manhattan with my wife and children and your tips are helpful on a daily basis. Keep vlogging man! Take care
I have been to Brooklyn many times. There are so many more places to see than the video can share. Just walk around and you will find hidden jems in most areas. I walked by myself and felt very safe.
I can’t wait to come back to NYC, and Williamsburg is where I plan to stay next. Many thanks.
Wow when we heard Peter Luger, thought gonna be steak but thanks for the insider tip! Burger looks yummy too🤤
Great vlog as always Buddy. Love New York and have been twice. You are my go to vlogger to get my New York feed until I return. Keep up the great work ❤️
The Williamsburg Bridge is a great walk! Always enjoy it and couldn’t agree more about it being an underrated bridge walk
Added at the perfect time, I’m here til Saturday and this has just changed my Friday plans! A day in Williamsburg it is, topped off by a visit to Best Pizza
I spent the day yesterday exploring Williamsburg yesterday and was listening to your video while walking around. I loved it!
Peter Luger’s burger is amazing! Glad you went. One of the best values in NYC for the quality
Yes thank you for the tip
15 dollars for a burger and fries in NYC isn’t a bad deal. Especially a burger as good as peter Luger’s
again, it depends on where you're eating.
go down the street on bedford and get a burger and beer for 5 bucks at dumont burger
@@MrIEatFingers yes I love eating there after I was out drinking with the boys lol
Lol I wonder if this is a joke or not? Hipsters are like unicorns. Ruining one city at a time 😂
🎈
Another great video...I need to go back this fall and explore brooklyn and eastern long island.
We love the City Reliquary Museum and wanted to point out to everyone to look for part of the original 2nd Ave Delicatessen sign that they have on display. They found it in the garbage and saved it! As lovers of old shops, signage and vernacular typography it’s a unique thing to see...It’s in the back room hanging above the doorway leading back to the front of the museum! We didn’t see it in the video but wanted everyone to know 🤗
I agree with most of those recs. Williamsburg has changed so much over the years, but it’s still a fun place. I’d also recommend Best Pizza as a great place for slices.
Ana Maria pizza is really good too
Love Brooklyn Brewery - one of my favorite beers too
NICE VIDEO...... KEEP THEM COMING..........
Williamsburg is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn, I agree Williamsburg is underrated, you can get great views and less crowd than the Brooklyn Bridge. Domini Park is amazing too especially in the summer.
Thanks Manny !
As a fellow Williamsburg native I approve! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Brooklyn in the house, Brooklyn in the house....🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
👍🏼Great job on the video! That burger sounds amazing and the pizza looks so good!
Thanks for sharing the city with us. ❤️
:)
Thanks for the great video. I’m from Argentina planning a future trip to NYC, and the city is totally overwhelming. I’m still trying to prepare an itinerary and all this info helps a lot
As a foreigner tourist who have been to NYC a dozen of times, this is by far my favorite neighborhood. Things are getting more upscale and polished even faster than the rest of Brooklyn but Williamsburg still offers visitors something that cannot be found anywhere else. Also, yes Smorgasburg is pricy, but the food is insanely good! Great video. Love from Saudi Arabia.
astaghfirullah
Coming to New york and usa for the first time this april. I was very sceptical to go to New york, but after i have looked at all your videos i am super exiting. Thanks for your amacing videos
www.bigapplegreeter.org
Very well done review! (first time watching your channel)
That burger and pizza got me drooling.
Going to flatbush, Brooklyn at the end of the month, great timing
i went there for a concert. About a 20 minute minute walk was a really cheap ymca. Clean, and worth the money for the night. All the hostels were sold out, but the ymca was really good believe it or not
Shoutsout to Los Sures. That's the Southside of Williamsburg. It has since been forgotten with the hipsterish rise in Williamsburg. Shoutouts to all those there before!
Los sures
You are THE best!!! Thank you so much for doing this videos! Lots of love my man and kisses to Adriana😘
Great recommendations.I’ve stayed in Williamsburg couple of weeks ago.Loved that neighborhood!!!So much to do.First place I’ve visited was L’industrie pizza you’ve recommended.I’ve had burrata and tartufo.Delicious!!!!Very nice crew working there. If I’ll come back to New York I’ll come back to this place for pizza.
Domino Park looks awesome, I'll need to check it out. Seems like you get views similar to the ones from East River State Park. Smorgasburg is great, but it can get very crowded.
Love your channel, so glad I found it. Cant wait for my first trip to NYC this summer 😊
www.bigapplegreeter.org
Fascinating! Especially the pizza and Rough Trade!
5:30 "I'm a Yankees fan. I probably just lost half of my audience saying that." LOL!!!
LETS GO YANKEES!
Nah he's still kool...
Muito bom o vídeo, moro em CT . Vou visitar Wiliannsburg quando ficar mais quente. Sucesso!
Super fun and unusual things! Thank you so much!
Great video.
I would recommend Rocka Rolla for cheap cold drinks. Great little dive bar in Williamsburg.
Great channel . Super helpful
Awesome video Here Be Barr!!
I think you should do a guide about Downtown Flushing! :)
Great timing as we are staying in Williamsburg at the end of the month
Great choice :) So much to do.
Visit South Williamsburg..the Satmar community too.
I got to visit Smorgasburg Flea the last time I was in NYC & I really enjoyed it! There were a lot of great vendors there
I went to The Knitting Factory not to long ago. The actual event that was taking place was kind of boring. But if you’re going to go drink and hang out it’s definitely a spot that should be checked out.
Awesome picks!
loved this video
Never been a big city lover but NYC is still a must see on my list. So much to do there, and plus the coolest vlogger and youtube lives there... oh and you do too. 😜😂
Hahahah funny guy
Hello, John,That´s a very nice video and I put it on my list next time I go there.I used to listen to cds at Virgin Megastore, HMV and Tower Records. It was very cool.Congratulations for your work.
I'm looking to move to Williamsburg this Spring, so great timing on this one 👌
Bring lots of $$$
That burrata slice 🍕from L’ Industie is over the top delicious 😋! Great choice.
James and Karla Yesss one of the best in NYC!
Food and Footprints- Greg and Jumi we definitely will try it on our next Williamsburg video tour! 🍕

@@HereBeBarr Thanks bro. Yeah i am humbled to get to 100k soon. 👌👌
Thanks for showing this Jon. Will check out next time I'm up. Baltimore not that far. Al
That burger 🍔 from Peter Luger looked amazing! ❤️😋
James and Karla Our favorite burger in NYC!
Food and Footprints- Greg and Jumi we will definitely try it when we don’t have our dog Hudson 🐾with us as there sadly is no outside eating area
Finally!
I loved the Dominos park with the mix of the industrial and the natural 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Mick
The Peter Luger burger is most likely a special house blend of various cuts that the restaurant came up with after talking to Fulton market which isn’t to say it’s not bad it’s just what every restaurant does now. Seriously go to Fulton early and check out their inventories especially their meat aging room as literally every cut of meat at a restaurant comes from there in some form. They also have a unique seafood array that you won’t find anywhere else. I believe you need special permission to get in the meat rooms but just wandering the market is worth the trip.
Beacon's Closet was the store Sam Fogarino - drummer for famed Willamsburg band, Interpol - used to work at.
Lakers fan! Yesss he should film all your videos. Got great taste!
hahahaha. Is this your troll account?
Here Be Barr LOL its the account i use on my appletv. Didnt realize i was on it on my phone 😂
Thanks Jon.
I use to have a friend who lived in Williamsburg. Since I live in Brooklyn I can take the B44 Select Bus Service from Sheepshead Bay to Williamsburg.
People do say that Bedford Ave starts in Williamsburg. Well Bedford Ave starts in Sheepshead Bay and ends in Greenpoint but it goes thru Williamsburg. Bedford Ave 10.2 miles long. McCarran Park is nice I use to see my friend and another friend play kickball on Sundays.
8:25 reminds me of tower records back in the day
Changing up the camera style, love it
Had my camera pro with me, i can't do this every video haha.
Another great video. I can't even begin to tell you how many Luger's burgers I've had for lunch... Excellent! So, how about an Eastern Queens video? Plenty of old school spots/restaurants/bars/parks! I'd love to show you around the Bayside area!
Send me an email: herebebarr@gmail.com
Would love a new version of this video!
turkey nest tavern a good bar also the craic on domino park in the summer is great
Hahaha I remember listening at Sam Goody, Tower Records, etc back in the day
hahaha
I miss Tower Records and also Virgin Megastore at Union Sq
Hi!!! Im a huge fan of your channel from Argentina. I would like a video about what to do if you visit NY for the third time and you already did all the touristy things. Thank you!!!!
Hey could you do a video on any of the following, record stores, comic book stores, love your videos btw
Weird NY Pizza Story: My grandmother was a lifelong resident of the City - born on E 68th, across the street from Hunter College, in 1892 then lived on West 106th for years before moving to Forest Hills in the 50s until the 80s. She NEVER had pizza until visiting my dad and stepmother in SC in about 1980. Unfortunately, it was frozen pizza. I was shocked.
Oh wow..criminal😅
Very cool place.
Great video, thanks!
After doing the videos itinerary and finishing up at Brooklyn Brewery, how do you recommend getting back to lower Manhattan? What’s the nearest train? Or maybe cab is better. Roughly how much should that be?
Many thanks 🙏🏻
Have you made a video about Bedstuy Brooklyn? That is my favorite neighborhood when I visit NYC. I want to live there if I ever live in NYC.
Robertas pizza in Brooklyn, order the bee sting, it’s hands down best pizza in nyc. Don’t judge the place by its sketchy looks from the outside lol. It’s 100% diff inside.
Been there . Love it
technically that's Bushwick
I used to think robertas was the best too, but I explored more of nyc, south brooklyn alone has better spots than Robertas.
John Walsh
Emmy Square is great and it’s in Williamsburg.
Just for the record the original Roberta’s is in Bushwick.
Us NYers are sticklers for identifying the correct neighborhood.
Not only is it a respect issue it’s because Realtors keep changing the name of neighborhoods to bring up the market value.
NealRigga Best pizza 🤤
Watching these videos just make me want to live in NYC.
Me thinking about my future: Hufht...Probably not...
Vinnies pizza in Williamsburg is definitely worth a stop
Big fan of Street art.
.
I have to come back for a return visit. The only time I spent in Williamsburg was during the NYC Marathon ;)
Great idea
You can also take ferries from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
there's a cool square in Williamsburg with flowers, benches, and some cool graffiti somewhere but in mot entirely sure where.
“Used Mets jersey..should give this away for free” 😂😂
😂
@@HereBeBarr But they're so lovable!
Your videos are awesome me and my brother visit NYC a few times a year. Go Yankees 😀
cool vid thank u! u put me on.
You forget to mention to explore the hasidic neighborhood in Williamsburg, it's really interesting how they live and how they dress. And you can also find some delicious bakeries in that area!
5 and 6 are in greenpoint. solid list tho.
Seriously need your help finding Birria tacos! I’m craving consome and queso tacos 😭
Rough Trade also has a photo booth so you can take wallet size photos with your friends 👬💕
Thanks for stopping by guys :)
Kokomo is a great restaurant in williansburg. The food is delicious
The burger looked good!
🥳
Lakers fan! that's my boy blue!!
Hi, love your videos, they are really insightful. im looking at planning a nyc trip and getting an airbnb to stay in for a week then travelling into Manhattan, ive looked at both williamsburg and new jersey and wondered if you thought one was a better option then the other to use as a base? thank you
Williamsburg
Great thank you!!
