I live in Bad Axe Michigan. Last week the Bad Axe Roller Rink was torn down after many many years of loyal service to its community. Little Jimmy Dickens got his start in county music in that building. My grandmother has told me lots of stories of going to see him play there in their youth. It was sad to see it go knowing how much history was contained in it's walls. Wish I could have seen it in its hay day! To memories!!
Written by Harlan Howard. Jimmy recorded it in 1965, Mel Tillis in 1967, Ricky Van Shelton in 1987. Thanks for posting. Great song!

When we finally got to visit the Grand Old Opry years ago it was on a Friday night when all of the 'older' performers where there. I was able to go up to the stage and take several pictures of him, and others that are in this clip, and that includes his "roadie" at this time. It was nice to hear him sing this Ricky Van Shelton hit.

Also previously recorded by Mel Tillis and Conway Twitty. Ricky did it best though IMHO!
