Correction my friend. You have about $7,000 in suspension. Axis front shocks are about 2500 alone and I know for sure that role design a-arms are 2500 for the raptor. Thats not including the 600 they paid for the swing arm and another 1500 or more for the rear shock. That was a major steal at 1500, running or not.
The no delay in throttle is due to the external accelerator pump on the side of the carb, it shoots an initial blast of fuel into the bottom of the bowl so you have power on demand at any rpm... Have the same carb on my 400ex and my warrior 350, far as I knew they were pretty much maintainence free and you don't have to adjust them 🤷♂️
@FishTheNorth. Most of the big bore kits are damn near bolt on and go now. Look up whatever you need on here for step by step guides to help you out. 686cc kits range anywhere from around $200 to $600 depending on cam and whether you use your cylinder or you get one in the kit. Expect to pay that much for labor at a shop to install it.
I got a Polaris predator 500 with an edelbrock carburetor and exhaust, even aftermarket shocks for 1000 dollars. I'm a running today against a 700 raptor . But it is fast as hell.
I bought a polaris 500 with the same things edelbrock carburetor and aftermarket fox shocks and a 400 dollar exhaust for just 1000 dollars. The shocks alone are worth close to 1000
The edlebrock is a good carb and is fully adjustable and when tuned right it works great. However, it can not flow as much air as a stock carb can which can hinder performance depending on your mods. As for the fcr carbs, those are by far the single best upgrade to a 660 by far stock or moddified. However with a price tag close to a used bike around a grand. I don't think its great bang for the buck. And I for one would rather spend that kinda cash on suspention or other engine mods.

Im getting a raptor 660r with a 710 big bore stage 3 hot cams ans so om the guy that im getting it frome is a family friend and he is 300 pounds and it will run 90 with him on it and im only 155 pounds so it will fucking fly with me on it
Edlebrock carbs are garbage. Go with FCR 35's depending on your current mods. Unless you increased your displacement and or added a cam your stock carbs are fine. Get a Dynojet Stage 1 or 2 jet kit and that will wake up your motor and will be a lot easier to tune than those Edlecrocks

I have a big bore kit with the elderbrock and I love it. There is mixed reviews but when they are tuned correctly they scream. Just my 2 cents
