The martial-artist is the leader, Jungwon. You may have thought the adorb one with the cute smile Sunoo was the leader. Jungwon is also, frequent first face, the unique voice. He was a top ranked Tae Kwon Do artist and perhaps that helps him be a very young group leader. only NI-Ki is younger than he is
I've been very impressed with him as leader - he's young, but so confident, so steady. I get why he was chosen.

Yes same. I didn't watch I-Land because I don't watch survival shows in general so I didn't care about them when Given-Taken came out. But they immediately stole my heart and haven't let it go yet. Their discography is ACTUALLY insane.

The martial artist is Jungwon! He’s the leader and is actually the youngest leader in Kpop. He was only 16 and second to last maknae when he was chosen to be leader and he’s sooooo amazing at it too! Heeseung is the all rounder ace.
There’s a Bighit joke that says JK is the golden maknae, Yeonjun is the legendary trainee, and Heeseung is the golden hyung since he was a bh trainee before joining Hybe belift! Ni-ki is Japanese and he’s 4th gens main dancer and one of the best dancers in the industry. Sunoo is the certified cutie you pointed out. Jake is our aussie boy and Jay is our rich fashionista boy 😂 sunghoon as you know is allll visuals and was a professional figure skater before idolhood!
Oh, people are right about saying that Jungwon (23:15) the one that did the high kick is the martial artist master of enhypen, but the one that did the kick that you asked (23:28), is Ni-ki, the maknae. As a spoiler: Ni-ki and Jungwon show some of these moves on their new album trailer.
Niki learnt ballet though (i'm pretty sure) which could contribute to flexibility, high kicks etc.

thank u for reacting to enhypen and to tell u honestly you are already one of my favorite reactors here seeing how genuine you are with your reactions. i hope you are going to react to them more and these boys are worth stanning for. it's so funny because one thing you noticed about them is their choreography and their dancing skills, i tell you what they are known for that by the way. they are always at their best when they perform. I hope u would listen to their bsides too like: shout out, go big or go home, attention please, just a little bit and etc.
Dark Moon: The blood alter is the official name of their storyline. It is shown through MVS and across their album concepts. The label also created a webtoon comic along with the mvs that explains the story but the mv are in a parallel universe so to speak where things mirror and mimic from the comics and vice versa. Their “brother group” is a japanese group called &team which are the werewolves and their storyline/come is called Dark Moon: The grey city.
23:15 I’m glad you noticed the high kick! That’s Jungwon, the leader. And yes, he used to do martial arts! He did taekwondo for 7 years. However, the one doing the flying kick at 23:30 is Ni-ki. He hasn’t done martial arts professionally, but he is one of the best dancers(if not THE best) in his generation!

And then he mentioned about martial arts when Niki was doing the flying kick. He probably thought both of them are the same person :)

They also did a special stage with txt + dance practice + documentary called Legend of kpop that i think its perfect because they cover songs that you probably already heard (fire by bts and growl by exo for example) PS i really cant wait also for your reaction to txt at lollapalooza (maybe we will see also enhypen there in a few years that would be amazing…)

I dont know if anyone has explained it yet but I will haha. A lot of their MVs are switching between modern day and the past. You'll notice theyre often seen in old/period clothing, this potentially hundreds of years ago when they were young vampires. In Tamed-Dashed it expressed the story of when they realised the sun no longer burned their skin and they had freedom to go outside.
I would like to see your reaction on a guide video for them, I'm sure you'll enjoy it and it will help you to go to know them and their personalities better, they are very interesting when it comes to personalities each one of them have their own personal thingy

Yes Enhypen have a huge vampire lore which is present in a lot of their music videos and in the lyrics of the songs themselves. But all of their song are also all about their real life as idols which is also showcased in the lyrics and somewhat in their music videos. Also just as a note Dark Moon is their Webtoon. Most Hybe groups have a Webtoon that they are associated with.
It’s not on streaming platforms but Chamber 5 is a really cute song of them. I also really love Not For Sale and Upper Side Dreamin. Also Shout Out was one of my favorite songs of last year. Enjoy Enhypen!!

Wait until you dive into their b sides. They are on another level. In tame dashed the older grainy film is them flashbacked to when they first got turned and couldn’t be in the sun. They finally find a way to be able to enjoy life in the sun towards the end of the mv and the present is just them enjoying life at school playing rugby in the sun 😂 everytime you see a grainy film it’s a flashback! :)

Enhypen is well-known for their choreographies.. and they pull them off so well because they're all really strong dancers. If you want to try watching a dance practice video, I highly highly recommend Drunk-Dazed dance practice, Fever dance practice, and maybe their 2021 MMA intro dance practice if you have time (this was insane). Most engenes would agree with me on these three.

I just started to check them out - Taki has grown up! And I think they're doing great. I was a bit scarred by I-Land so I was worried about watching their show but it was so much gentler.
I have no idea if this an official reference just a coincidence, but regarding Let Me In - theres a movie from 2008 called 'Let the right one in' (the original is swedish based of a novel) and an american remake called 'Let me in' that features the story of a child befriending his neighbour, a girl who can only go out at night and has to be invited/let in in order to enter a house or room. He falls in love with the girl who he finds out is a vampire.
This mv and lyrics just reminds me soo much of this movie!

I remember when Tamed-Dashed came out it was so strange getting a summer bop title track from them after all the dark! But they did it!
Aaaaaaaahhh, that was fast! I thought I was gonna have to wait way more time for more enhypen! I usually like their b-sides more than their titles, except drunk-dazed and given-taken that I love it! Enhypen doesn't have a huge discography yet cause they debuted only 2,5 years ago, but it's a pretty solid discography, that already have variety, so don't worry if you don't love all their songs. Their storyline in their MVs is not linear, since they are vampires they lived in different eras/times, and sometimes there's more than one era/a different time on their mvs. Some theories also think there are different dimensions (and they have an album called dimmension dillema, and another dimension answer). So don't worry if you get confused, we all do lol. But trying to understand what tf is happening in their MVs is part of their fun! Oh, and the mermaids and vampires lmao, and the fact that their new pics from album concept is underwater lmao.
Also, Sunghoon face card never declines lol! And yes, his eyebrowns are like 50% of his charm imo lol, and it helps a lot with his stage presence, it was also one of the first things I noticed of him. The ones you got mistaken in the center are Heeseung (oldest, tall) and Jungwon (leader, dimples), they are often in the center on chorus parts, and yes they are both very good dancers and singers too, Jungwon is the one with that unique voice that you noticed last video and heeseung is the one you keep saying you like his voice in this video lol. And the one you said it must be the cute one lmao, yes he is Sunoo our sunshine. Like you he doesn't like ball games (youll get this if one day you watch their variety lol)! I think you're going to like his personality if you get to know him. Jay is also on your radar lol, the one with Chigaco clothes, funny thing is that he was born in Seattle lol.
I know you said that you don't care as much about dance and choreo but said you are liking theirs, and yes I gotta say that dancing/performance is enhypen's forte. It's what they do best. It's not the they are not great in other areas too, they are, but in dance they are suberb! So maybe later if you really get into them it would be cool to watch you reacting to their choreos and performances, because they are fire, they move muscles that I didn't even know it existed. But for now here are some song recomendations to react next: Upper Side Dreamin', Just a little bit, Go big or go home, Not for Sale, Shout out (live peformance for this one is the best, it feels differently). There's also a song that was from their reality show tht they never released, but tthey have in their channel a fun performance dressed as fruits that I love it so much lol, it's called Chamber Five. You should definitely give a listen to &team they complete Enhypen‘s storyline. &team is a Japanese boy group, 4 of the members were in iland with the Enhypen members. Iland was a survival show. There’s a lot to their story so it’s kinda hard to explain. But if you do decide to take a look at &team I recommend under the skin extended version.
Hahahaha it's the same member's face, Sunghoon's that you liked in the previous MVs, as well as in Let Me In (4:33) and Tamed-Dashed (15:21)! Sunghoon's face is like a magnet, he's very handsome!!

So I don’t know if you connected the fact that that most of their lead singles are hyphenated words which connects to their name Enhypen. Also in Tamed-Dashed when they were burning from the sun they were in the old timey clothes and they discovered a way to keep it from happening which is why by the end he picked up the ball in the sun. And they don’t have that issue during modern times. It’s very subtle you have to be paying attention

I really want to explain their lore to you because Enhypen's universe is pretty deep and interesting, but I'm not smart enough to explain it all lmao, it's just super detailed and complicated in a way.
Among all the HYBE group storylines, Dark Moon (Enhypen's universe/EU) is one of the most famous, full of details, and it's given full support by the company (the promotions for Dark Moon are no jokes :)... all the vampire aesthetics, the connection to werewolf, ancient myths, etc are so well-prepared... high-quality production.
Dark Moon: The Blood Altar is their webtoon title and it's a part of their lore as well. It features the members as alternate universe vampires, “It will bring to life the story of vampire boys who have fought long and lonely battles as borderline and transcendent beings.”
In a world consisting of both good and bad vampires, Dark Moon basically tells the story of seven vampire boys and their fateful lives with the help of a mysterious new transfer student at their high school (Decelis Academy). Enhypen's Universe itself is an unusual touch of the young romance genre, a fantasy concept that revolves around vampire high schoolers, and it takes a more novel route than the usual teen romance.

'Dark Moon: The blood altar' is a webtoon, some songs in that webtoon are sang by Enhypen and also each member has their own character in the webtoon. I'm not really sure but I think most of their mvs are related to the story of the webtoon, that's why there's a girl in some mvs (the girl is the main character of the webtoon and enhypen's characters + &Team werewolves characters that you can see in Drunk-dazed are like secondary-main characters). They are all important characters in the webtoon hehe
I don't know if the lyrics are related to the webtoon as well, but the mvs are related for sure.
