the controversial choreo is somewhat became a blessing in disguise tho, it rang a bell to some kpoppies and made them tuned in to enhypen and MAJORITY is praising them for being bold, paving the way for 4th gen artists to be engaged in this kind of artistry. It somewhat opened the eyes of some fans that artist is not their "doll", it is their art and everyone has no right to have an opinion on what they worked hard for. And as an international engene, we are so proud of them, they are truly drawing their own line.

I suggest you watch the DARK BLOOD comeback trailer. It's like an eight-minute movie and it may help you understand the Bite Me mv more. I see nothing wrong with the female dancers in the choreography. It suits the theme of the song very well and there's nothing inappropriate happening.
I am so addicted to Bite Me, but also love Sacrifice (Eat Me Up) and Bills. Ni-Ki will turn 18 in December this year.
There's a recent guide titled ENHYPEN Guide 2023 (A guide to the members) on the enha updates channel. It's a little over an hour long. I skimmed through it... it gives some details on I-Land and EN-o'clock and MV's before giving details on each member. This might be the better choice to watch since there's one that's two hours long and the other guides are much older.
Heeseung (the oldest) took part in directing the recording for 'Bite Me' and 'Bills' and Ni-ki (the youngest) took part in making the choreography for 'Bite Me'

I still love the song ( i am addicted to it) but i wish it was longer, it feels too short. I thought there would be a dance break based on the preview and i was really looking forward to a dance break but they didn't do a dance break which is a little disappointing for me. I feel like it would be more complete or much better if there was a dance break.
I also gotta say that Niki and Sunghoon singing as a duo is always so cool, they're so amazing, it's my favorite part in the song, even the dance that Niki does on that part- i am so obsessed. I want to learn how dance that part but it's harder than i expected
there's no "hypen" in there title track that's why it's shorter.

Anyone annoyed at this song's maturity is a weirdo, because I bet they didn't object to Fever when they released that. I remember when Fever came out appreciating it was a whole bop, adding it to every playlist and feeling like they still needed to grow into the maturity of it a teensy bit. Like they killed it, but I looked forward to seeing them perform it again after a year or two when they're just a smidge older. But I dip in an out of the group, and I looked away between comebacks, looked back and it's like they all hit puberty twice. I feel like this is about as mature as Fever was but they look so much more comfortable in it. That comes with them having more experience now too, but this just feels like it fits. International fans love it, and the K and C fans I've seen upset at them dancing with * gasp * women, are creepy as hell and need to relax. I'm glad they covered all the dancers faces tbh. The level of delulu I saw makes me think all the dancers would've been doxxed by now if they were easily identifiable. And to be fair, the maturity here comes from the sound and the choreo, there's nothing explicit lyrically, and it's only vaguely suggestive while still in keeping with their lore.
Anyway, all that to say it's a bop. It took me a few plays to get over the second part of the chorus, it really throws me off, but I got used to it, and it's firmly positioned in my most recent kpop playlist. 😄

Their album is so good, I'm obsessed with "Bills". "Bite" Me is growing on me every time i listen to it, I just wish it was a bit longer, but I like it.
Honestly we lack good guides for enhypen. Or they are out of date, or very biased, or focus too much on -iland, etc. If I find a new good one I'll comment here later.
I also recommend the Dark Blood comeback trailer, it's 8 min, like a short film and it's so cool (even if you don't react to it, just watch it, it's worth it!)
About the choreo, some koreans and chinese fans didn't like that there are female dancers and sent the trucks. But thai and phillippine fans then also sent trucks to hybe supporting them and the dancers. Oh, and Ni-ki helped creating the choreo. They worked so hard, I wish them a very sucessful comeback!
Thank you for your reaction - Loved it! :) I honestly really love the lyrics because in this story they are not the vampires. They have a crush on a vampire and want to stay with them forever. So they tease the vampire to bite them because if they are bitten, they'll live forever as the vampire's servant. I really liked this twist on a classical vampire story.

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. The song was not bad on 1st listen. I planned to give it more listens. I like one part of the chorus but the other throws me off. After 8 listens it is growing on me. Love the visuals. Loved seeing the female dance crew. Great fits and makeup. Heard Ni-ki choreographed the chorus of this. They went to Poland for this song so cool. In the oldest castle in Europe. I think some of the issue is because the backup dancers are women, sigh. Many in Korea are really closed minded. This is the 1st time the guys have an all female dance crew. It's a big deal. But i am happy about it. Yes, Ni-ki is floating in the chair. The handsome guy is Sunghoon. The guy in the front is Jay same guy on the horse. =0} Yes, the whole MV is storyline. If i tell u why he floating than i am spoiling. U did not give permission. I stay silent. =0p This is not the start of the storyline just a continuation. The storyline is explained better in the webtoon. Of course any facial expressions are not part of the choreo, LMAO. AH! It seems like you really liked Jay's voice! I'm super glad considering him and Sunoo got the least amount of lines this comeback, but they seem to be getting recognition for their vocals regardless and its so nice to see! If you want to find a guide for them sometime in the future, I would recommend a more up to date one seeing as a lot of older, more popular ones tend not to represent the boys super well these days, but either way I really hope you enjoy their music and enjoy their personalities! A bunch of talented guys :D
you were right on the money that this doesn't really sound like kpop considering this song was produced by the same producer who has worked with ke$ha, britany spears, the weeknd, sam smith, and a bunch of other western pop artists! this is his first kpop song. this song reminds me a bit of 2nd gen kpop (this song mainly reminded me of tvxq's mirotic which funnily enough, also sounds like early 2000's jt) right down to the pair dancing. but the dance of the 'rap' part was made by niki, the maknae! and though none of the members have writing credits this cb, heeseung directed the vocals of two songs off the album (bite me and bills) and he also has vocal arrangement credits for bite me, so a lot of the really cool sounding harmonies and ad libs were his addition to the track. lyrically, i'd say this album is the most cohesive in the sense that each song is written like a chapter in a book (that's also why in the preview, there's a book) so the bite me lyrics out of context sound a little funny. enhypen also released a concept trailer (more like a short film considering it was like 12 minutes long) that explores the storyline while this mv just had some visual nods to their lore but was mainly a dance performance video lmao.

Good reaction. TY. They have created a masterpiece with this album. Their best yet. If you like KPOP with a rock vibe check out their tracks Shout Out, Attention Please, or Blockbuster (both tracks and live performances). And Bills is really good performed live (any of the music shows lately). They are excellent live performers so you should check out their live performance version of Bite Me, Inikgayo version or JTBC.
Please listen to their dark blood album. It's darker and one of their best albums by far. Please also listen to their OST Criminal Love and One in a Billion 🩷

7:57 enhypen actually does have some strong rock influences in some of their songs! Id recommend checking out Attention! Please, One in a Billion, Blessed-Cursed (there's only a hint of rock in this song though), and especially Shout Out. Aso lore-wise, enhypen almost always has something going on. They often go in and out of telling their vamp story very literally or metaphorically. If you want to know more about their lore, check out bookish theories! Her analyses are so great.
I got seven minutes into the video when I had to pause and cry laugh. You calling bills a sad body rolling bop is the funniest thing I’ve heard all day! OK, going to restart the video now.
Also, I don’t have any recommendations for a guide, but if you wanted to laugh and cry and go on a roller coaster of emotions, you could watch their survival show, I-Land. Some people love it, some people hate it, and the boys I think are personally skittish about it because like all groups formed through a survival show, it was a very intense and possibly traumatizing experience for them, but I truly love the show and get emotional when I watch it.

I love the story line in Enha's albums! I read the webtoon and everything. All of their music is amazing! And the partner dancing protest is so dumb! When they went on their first music show to promote the song, they only introduced themselves in Japanese and English. In response to the trucks maybe? Whatever I think that is king like behavior and it had me laughing. There are some intrerpretations that tie "Bite Me" to the fan and artist relationship, which I find kinda interesting, but mostly it seems to be tied to the story line.

In fact the song is an analogy for fan idol relationships. Fans make the idols (idols aren’t idols without fans), therefore we made the vampires. They are willing to sacrifice themselves for their fans, be immortal, even though the fans are the ones that can ‘kiss them and bite’ them.
The video all relates to their theme from their Dark Moon WEBTOON series. So although the video is not story heavy, there is little visual ques to their storyline.
The issue Korean fans had was just jealousy and possessiveness. They don’t like their idols interacting with females, plain and simple
