Awesome 😊
woops, thought i was on your Shift review for a sec there lol.
I honestly do not distinctly remember seeing this in the theater nor shedding any tears, but I know I was really pulling for Damon and Driver to get back together and make it work 😊
Of the era..... Mid late 90s what a time but I glad it's over. School ties with Brandon Fraser an matt Damon. Y'all may like
Most beautiful reactions yet ❤❤💯💯🙂🙂✅️✅️
Williams' monologue at the lake is simply perfection. It's stern, vulnerable, forgiving, and beautiful.
Man, I miss Williams. RIP.
💯🔥🔥
It’s more like a large pond; it’s in the Boston Public Garden 😉
"Men, be honest: did you shed a tear" - yes ma'am, I have no shame in admitting that I cried quite profusely when I first watched it, and even after all these years, it still brings a tear to my eye.
Great reaction to a great movie, ladies!
Aww love that!! ❤
Thank you! It will get you for sure!
Me too man. This movie hits hard.
I didn't but the Damon/Affleck combo have never interested me, they're just not believable as human beings
@@jonathandevereaux298 agreed, Damon and Affleck might be good writers and directors, but they aren’t good actors
Long, long story, but Good Will Hunting changed my life, and not just in a "I saw it and was inspired" kind of way. And Robin Williams was why I became an actor. I met him in 2011. He was adorable. When he passed, I spent 3 days in bed crying.
Yes, I was completely devastated when he ended his life too 😭
I suggested that they both watch Finding Forrester with Sean Connery. It’s the same director as Good Will Hunting… it wasn’t a big movie like Good Will Hunting, but it was just as good as it. Sean Connery was another celebrity death that devastated me 😭😢
Do you ever see Finding Forrester?
@@nsasupporter7557 Weird! I replied to this message, but I can't see it now! I'm actually Scottish too, so you can imagine how it affected us. I actually worked in a cinema as the inhouse film critic when it was released. I wasn't a fan personally, but I know a lot of people like it.
16:37 I remember hearing that "wife fart story" wasn't in the scripted and improvised by Robin Williams, that's why Matt Damon was laughing so hard and if you listen closely the sound picks up the camera man laughing too 😄
Robin Williams God rest his soul was a genius and an amazing actor. He did A LOT of improvising in order to get REAL reaction from his fellow cast. All of the DJ speeches in Good Morning Vietnam was improv. The scene in Mrs. Doubtfire when his teeth fall into the glass was improv. The reactions were all real and unscripted but kept in the movie.
The "It's not your fault" scene breaks me down every single time. This movie is a true inspiration. Your reaction was raw and awesome.
The scene where Affleck's character tells Will that the best day for him, would be one where he would wake up to the reality of hos friend having left...
Gets me every single time. The slight bitterness about not having such a gift, but the immense brotherly love for Will. That is acceptance. Peace of mind, in a nuttshell.
Fun Fact: The farting wife story was completely improvised. Matt Damon laughed his ass off.
Also, Ben Affleck's speech at the end is such a great scene. So different from the usual speeches. A real friend would rather see his friend succeed if it means never seeing them again.
Wow 😂
That speech was so good!
Also, in the fart scene, you can see the camera shaking, because the cameraman was cracking up.
That Ben Affleck scene was the first take. Ben made them do a few more, but he nailed it the first time.
That line “Tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be 50” really hit me hard. I turned 50 this year and I feel like Chucky. I’ll be working forever doing the same shit. I’ll be watching all my friends retiring and traveling and golfing everyday. I’ll be breaking my back working until the day I drop dead. And I know there’s nothing I can do to change that.
For Saving Private Ryan, Steven Spielberg had purposely cast Matt Damon as Ryan because he was virtually unknown and had All-American handsomeness. However, this movie came out a couple of months before and made Damon a star.
Also shaving Ryans private... a movie.. ina diffrente genre ...but with a simular name.
A beautiful movie with so many life lessons
As a strong man I of course blubbed when I saw this in 1997. The biggest reaction I've ever seen by men in the cinema was to The Green Mile. Nearly every man in the theatre was seriously crying during this film.
I don’t think I’m emotionally ready for the Green Mile!
@@ForceOfLightEntertainment Do something light first - Green Mile will break your heart.
I'm a 56 year old man who has seen more than any ones fair share of shit, I cry every time I see this movie or just a reaction to it. If you are not moved by this movie you have to be dead inside. Robin Williams is and will always be missed by we who were fortunate enough to see him perform. His all improve stand up was as amazing as his acting. You should watch some of his stand up if you have not already.
I highly recommend his episode of Inside The Actor's Studio.
It is a very touching movie! Therapeutic really!
One of the best movies ever.
That was great, can we have more tears?😁 Dead poet Society, Hachi, The Lovely Bones, Stand By Me, Sophie's Choice and, of course, Evil Dead😊
Name 3 things you've seen
I'm 56 and have watched this film start to finish at least five times and have watched reactors respond to it at least a half-dozen times. Never fails to make me tear up at several points. It's just so good. RIP Robin Williams you rocked this.
Kudos to you ladies for this watch reaction 👍🏻
Good Will Hunting is a timeless masterpiece that strikes a chord with its powerful storytelling and brilliant performances from Matt Damon and Robin Williams. It’s a real tear 😢 jerker of a movie 🎥
Yes he is!
Finding Forrester is another beautiful movie by the same director. It wasn’t as big of a movie as Good Will Hunting but still just as good
This movie still messes me up. As I mentioned during Monday’s livestream, this movie inspired me to become a therapist. I loved both your honest reactions. I was right there with u both!!! Love and hugs to u both! 😊🤗
Aww thank you! That’s awesome!!
You need to watch Finding Forrester, if you haven’t yet. it’s the same director as Good Will Hunting. Though it wasn’t as big as Good Will Hunting, it was just as good as it. It stars Sean Connery, he plays a reclusive writer who teaches an athlete how to write
Cool how in the beginning Robin Williams's character calls Will "Chief" or "sport" but at the end it's "son"
Probably one of the best screenplays ever written.
This was your best reaction. Being vulnerable is being real, and being real is what people are attracted to.
One of the best films ever made.
If you watch when Will is hugging Sean and crying, you'll see that Sean's eyes are smiling and joyful. He knows what a breakthrough that was. Notice throughout their last
couple of encounters that he calls him, "Son". He doesn't mind being a surrogate and a mentor, and he'll be happy to stay in contact with Will. It was a breakthrough and Will
is a genius but he certainly doesn't have all the answers. It will be invaluable to have someone he knows he can trust to help guide him. 'We all could use someone like that.
With the greatest of respect; it was good to see you both cry. Beautiful reaction ladies.
Thank you!
They don't make enough movies like this in Hollywood. I think I felt every emotion there is in this one. ❤
Good job ladies
Thank you!!
For this film both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon won an Oscar for best original screenplay and Robin Williams won for best supporting actor. Thank you ladies great reaction.
Thanks for watching!!
Yes, Robin Williams beat out Greg Kinnear in As Good as it Gets for best supporting actor
@@nsasupporter7557That's right
@@nsasupporter7557burt reynolds and Robert forrester
Robin Williams improvise all the faro scene, but recently I knew that Robin Williams improvise all the last line like doing like a 100 hundreds tienes, and the last line remains.
This movie makes me cry every time, and I've probably seen it a dozen times. It's really inspiring to me.
Ladies, I cry every time I watch this... even with you in the abbreviated version. It's with Shawshank Redemption for feel-good buddy movies where characters experience tremendous growth throughout the film. Thank you for reacting to this one. It is a special piece of art when one watch just isn't sufficient. 📽🎞💚
Off the top of my head, I'd say The Green Mile is the biggest tear jerker movie for me. I saw it in the theaters and remember thinking this movie is almost over, I better pull myself together, but then I could hear others in the audience just balling uncontrollably and I felt relieved that I wouldn't be the only one walking out of the theater looking like I was having an allergic reaction to clams.
Michelle and Natalie I loved your reactions to such a good, thoughtful movie. Major props to your honest and sincere reaction to a story of a person struggling to find himself and the friends, mentors that help him along the way plus the love and caring of a good woman. Vincit qui se vincit. He conquers who conquers himself! A lot of moments that mattered.
Thanks KB!!
@@ForceOfLightEntertainment You are welcome!😄🌷
Warrior with Tom Hardy is another tear jerker well worth a watch. Gets most men I’ve known teary and my wife, who is training to be a counsellor, “ugly cried” for fifteen minutes after.
No one reacts to that movie and I been waiting years for the reactors to start doing it lol
Absolutely, without a doubt, the best editing of this movie ever!
Saw it in a theater back in 97 as I was just getting into film. As a teenager, I wasn't mature enough to fully appreciate the movie (and its themes) but I thought it was great. It wasn't till I watched it later in life that it hit different. Great Video, as always!
Aww thanks John!!
"Do you like Apples? Michelle and Natalie loved this movie. How about them Apples!" Y'all about got my with the tears 🥲. It's a great movie and I remember feeling the emotional moments the first time I watched this movie. 🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉 Take care ladies.
Thanks Stephen!
RIP, Robin Williams, we love you, we miss you.
Red is absolutely gorgeous, and intriguing 😮
You two are sweet, everyone cries at this movie.
I love seeing peoples first reaction to Good Will Hunting because this movie really hit me the first time I saw it, yes its impossible to sit through some of those scenes and not cry like a baby.
I too never saw this movie when it came out despite everyone I knew raving about it. I think my favorite scene is the park bench scene. Robin Williams owns every scene he is in. He truly was a great, versatile actor. If you want to see him like you have never seen him before, I recommend the movies "Insomnia" and "One Hour Photo". If you want to see an great underrated dark comedy with him and Edward Norton, watch "Death to Smoochy". Great video as always ladies.
Thank you! RW was a special talent!
"Do you like apples?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?"
Fun Fact: Gus Van Sant painted the picture that hangs in Sean Maguire's (Robin Williams') office.
Five Year Dream Fact: The very first day of the shooting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck started crying out of happiness, because it was a scene between Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgård, accomplished actors, doing Damon's and Affleck's scene verbatim, and they had waited so long (five years) for this to happen.
What Script Fact: The lines in the scene when Sean talks about his late wife's farting antics were ad-libbed by Robin Williams. That is why Matt Damon was laughing so hard. If you watch the scene carefully, you can notice the camera shaking a bit, possibly due to the cameraman laughing as well. Robin Williams' last line in the film "Son of a bitch. He stole my line" was also ad-libbed.
MIT Connection Fact: Matt Damon, a former Harvard student, originally intended to make the title character a physics prodigy. He discussed his idea with Sheldon L. Glashow, a Nobel laureate in physics and, at the time, a Harvard professor. Glashow told him that the premise did not ring true to him: he suggested that the main character be a math prodigy instead. He referred Damon to his brother-in-law, Daniel Kleitman, a professor of mathematics at MIT, who provided advice on the story. Both Glashow and Kleitman are thanked in the credits.
😢😂😂😂
I said before and I’ll say it again, it behooves one to watch this movie every year to remind us of life’s important lessons. Yes, I cry as a 69 yr. old man but I’ve always been emotional due to Cerebral Palsy. Although my disability is ever so slight, it’s enough to notice a difference in my motor skills.
"You disrespect my Wife again i will END You... you got that Chief?" I frickin love this film, one of Robin Williams best performances for sure, Ben Affleck is that rare Best friend we all need more in our lives, true Best Friends always want the best for you even if it means you moving on from them in some way. I love that you Ladys have discovered this gem. Hey Nat! 😉
It is an excellent movie!
Your gonna get charged is one of my favorite lines. Glad you enjoyed it.
Never watched a first time reaction where they didn't cry, just like you two ladies did and it binds us all together with our shared humanity...Williams and Damons characters needed each other and drew each other out from their past into a new life....and Williams 'Park' monolgue is one of the greatest, to think Damon and Affleck wrote this in their early 20's.....astounding...(I think the bench where Williams said those words is a shrine often visited)
During Sean's speech on couple intimacy, it's amazing to feel how he takes us from laughter to deep emotion. I love this film and I've seen a lot of reactions about it.
This is the film with the most authentic emotions I've ever seen, without using children, etc., how easy they are to bring us to tears.
he redeems himself as an exceptional counselor as much as his friend is a great mathematician
Robin Williams acting range was amazing. A great example of his chops is his performance in the 1998 film What Dreams May Come. It will definitely make you feel strong emotions throughout and evoke a strong reaction so I hope yall add it to your must see list as a Robin film follow-up.
It’s one of my favorites. I get teary eyed sometimes. Love it. Love the set it’s set up in, Boston.
Great reaction girls ❤ - thank you both!
Thank you!!
You ladies are beautiful with big hearts. Instant subscribe here.
I find the swearing hard but when you look past that it’s beautiful funny and emotional movie that brings me to tears every time. Matt did a fantastic job but the one that takes the prize for me is robin Williams for sure. Fantastic actor.
You know if you don’t cry at this movie you must be hard hearted, broken inside or dead. ❤❤
Y' all are both beautiful. This was an excellent, authentic reaction. Thank you.
Aww! Thanks for watching!!
I just love this movie. Made me tear up again watching you lovely ladies. I love watching both your reactions
Thank you! It’s a tear jerker for sure!
This movie is one of Robin Williams best performances I have ever seen next to One Hour Photo. It’s really my favorite movie of all time. He definitely proved that he can be both a serious actor and a comedic actor at the same time.
Agreed!
1 Hour Photo was a very sad movie. It was supposed to be “scary and suspenseful” but it was just depressing more than anything. Another great “villainous” role by Robin Williams is Insomnia which came out the same year
It may seem sacrilegious but I always enjoyed Robin Williams in dramatic roles over his comedic ones.
One thing that does seem to hold is that traditionally funny actors can play serious roles more easily than traditionally serious actors being able to play comedic roles.
@@jmiyagi12345 sorry, but I strongly disagree with that for the most part.
From what I understand, it’s the other way around… dramatic actors can do comedy even better than alot of comedians and comedians can rarely ever be good dramatic actors. The only 2 comedians that can pull off dramatic acting is Robin Williams and Jim Carrey… Jeff Daniels is mostly known for drama, but he blew everybody away in Dumb and Dumber with Jim. He was funnier than most comedians in that movie
@@nsasupporter7557 Will Ferrell, not to be confused with a good actor, does very solid work in his dramatic roles. Probably his better work. Carrey, as you mentioned, was much better than he was given credit for. I am honestly struggling with coming up with dramatic actors who can do straight comedy. Maybe Jack Nicholson, but it’s usually just him being crazy, which might just be his default setting.
oh yeah, this movie makes me cry every time i've seen it. it's one of my favorite movies.
You've both narrowed down what makes this movie so special. You're both so awesome!
Aww thank you Charles!! You are too!
Great movie. Glad you liked it. Robin Williams did a great job. I'm not a big _love story_ fan, but this one felt real and honest, not cheesy or unrealistic like most of the others do.
There's so many iconic lines from this film. It's one of the few "perfect' films.
Following because I randomly caught this reaction.
You're correct, great insight. Beauty and pain do go together. Everyone on this Earth goes through pain and suffering but the real beauty of people and life is how we come together and hold each other up, and deal with pain and suffering. I've seen this movie many times, and I still cry.
Seeing Ben Affleck feel some happiness for his friend when he realizes he isn't there, even though he lost his friend and his heart is also probably dropping, is so beautiful. That was a great piece of acting, first he realizes it and it takes a few seconds to process it and you can see that little grin. I cried on that scene too just like you lol.
Thank you ladies for a genuine and heartfelt review.
Thanks for watching!
The Fisher King, Dead Poet's Society, Awakenings, and Good Will Hunting... all must-see Robin Williams films (IMHO). Good reaction, ladies :)
Thank you!!
Thank you so much, #ForceOfLightEntertainment, for the awesome movie reaction. I'm still supporting you because your content is so amazing, and also because I enjoy watching your reactions to different TV shows and movies.
We appreciate that!! Thanks!! 💚
I have watched this film so many times. It is just so good. Robiln Williams was a truly extraordinary actor.
I don’t even think I fully understand his talent level until this!
Ben Affleck's character in this movie is the best friend you could EVER HAVE!
I was thinking bout this movie and I just realized that last scene with Robin Williams and Will was a metaphor for how Will was pushing those he loved away so he wouldn't get hurt. Will physically pushes Williams character away but he stands firm. He shows he won't abandon him even after he has built trust with Will. Then the breakthrough.
I think masculine energy is more prone to be adept at showing the firm and strong, supportive but not smothering love. That brotherly/father type of thing.
I guess Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are smarter than I thought as screenwriters. LOL
I cried at the movie but I have overactive tear ducts and will cry at a Folger's commercial or yawning. It's so attractive to the ladies....😅
😭😭😭 Thank you for this reaction, ladies.
Thanks for watching!
Great reaction! You two are the cutest
Thank you!!
Ladies, I've seen this movie about 50 times and each time I cry like a baby. So yes, grown men do cry. ------- In fact i started crying from the monologue scene at the lake. ------ You ladies he'd up way longer than I did.
First time watching, and realized those were third year problems on the chalkboard. Took me a bit out of the movie. Recently, asked a history professor from the local uni if he thought the history lesson Will gave was too easy. He said no. So, not all watered down.
As an action science fiction horror fan, I don't often cry ^^
But there are exactly two films where even I have to get out my handkerchief.
Good will Hunting and Meet Joe Black
As soon as I see your video thumbnail I drop everything and click on it!! “This is going to be GOOD!!”
Amazing to think this was written by Matt Damon in college, then turned in to a film that gave Robin Williams his only Oscar.
And yeah,I teared up..A 56 year old man can still get emotional.Especial THAT scene.
This is one of those rare movies...
I cry every time i watch it. Or any reaction I see. 100’s of times. Sean’s speeches on the park bench and at the end along with chuckie’s speech at the end are some of the best monologues in history
Exceptional movie and a Robin Williams gem!! Thank you for the reaction
It's one of my favourite movies, if not my favourite. I cry every time without fail.
I don’t know how anyone could get through this without crying.
One of my all-time favorite reactions to this movie. Beautiful.
This is a personal all-time favorite of mine. Excellent the whole way. I still get emotional, I still connect with it. Great movie
This is just...a beautiful film. One of those that everyone with a heartbeat needs to see at least once.
Also yes...I teared up. Several times.
If y'all want another amazing Robin Williams performance, check out "Dead Poets Society"
Love this movie: looking forward to this reaction 🍿
Just watched your reaction and I just subscribed to the channel. I loved your reaction so much . Keep it up
Thank you so much!!
Fantastic film. Truly.
Y’all’s reaction to this is why ima follower. Love this movie and y’all’s perception
Thanks!
Well done ladies. Great movie. Excellent reaction video cause of your authenticity.
Thank you so much!
Great movie and reaction. No matter how often i see this it makes the water works up at the end. I love Natalie the Red showing her hand with the water works getting a drink before the flood gates open each time. Definitely sub'd
Thank you!! ☺️
Omg i think i just fell in love with you two watching your reactions to the "its not your fault" scene. Precious. THATS what cinema should do.
😢❤❤❤
ive watched most of the reaction videos to this film. this is the best! less commentary more listening and experiencing
Thank you!!
Great Movie and Reaction !! Thank You Ladies
Thanks for watching!!
Good Will Hunting is one of my favourite movies. It is insanely good. A few years ago I found a clip on another channel explaining the history of 3 mathmaticians, that is believed to heavily have inspired Matt Damon when making this movie.
George Dantzig was a math university student. He usually came late to classes for different reasons. Came in, saw a problem on the blackboard and wrote it down, thinking if was homework.
Worked all weekend, because the problem was harder than usual. On monday afternoon he came in to the professors office and handed in the homework, mentioning it was a hard one.
Professor didn't think much of it, but took a look a few days later.
Early in the morning the professor started banging like a maniac on the door of Dantzig. Screaming. "you fucking solved it, you fucking solved it. Those weren't homework, those were unsolved mathmatical problems and you solved them!!"
William Sidis was a young mathmatical genius. He held lectures for his classmates at age 12, at Harvard. Graduated at age 16. He started to hate academia and became involved in communism. At age 19 he was part of a communist riot in boston. Was arrested. Was forced into therapy. The therapist? His own dad. The parents locked Sidis in, he wasn't allowed to exit the house. When the forced therapy was getting closer to be done, the parents were planning on kidnapping and forcing their son to move with them to California. They even threatened him to have him placed in a mental hospital if he didn't obey them. Sidis managed to avoid but swore off all types of Academia.
He held a job in New York, lived alone. His landlord said he lead of constant bitterness and died of stroke, age 46.
Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathmatical genius discovered in his 20s. He had learned all the math he knew just from books he had managed to accees. No formal training, no university.
He was still considered one of the most accomplished mathmaticians and his mentor has said about Ramanujan that if he was discovered earlier he could have been the most important mathmaticians of all time. Math is a young man sport. There is so much you need to learn, before you can start evolving new math.
Srinivasa Ramanujan died at age 32.
So. To make it more simple.
The relationship between the professor and Will Hunting = Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The therapy and trouble kid = William Sidis.
The kid that solved impossible homework = George Dantzig.
That was a fun reaction. And as always, y'all are looking great ladies.
Thank you!!
Oh yeah, this movie used that great Elliot Smith song (as if there's any other kind) haven't seen it in a long time. Thanks for the upload.
Wonderful reaction. You're both true souls. :)
😊 thank you!
Man here. It brings me to tears every single time. I've seen it maybe 6 times, never fails. Such a raw, real moment. I'm sure the crying and laughing scenes with Robin and Matt were improvised, it's almost impossible to fake that. Fantastic movie. Also, if you want a laugh, comedian Louis CK does a whole bit about Good Will Hunting that's really funny. It's on youtube (but find the one with video of him, not just the audio - way better when you see it).
The film “As Good as it Gets” won best actor and actress. But this movie beat it out for best supporting actor… Robin Williams! 😊
Amazing reaction, thank you
Thanks for watching with us!!
I used to go to movies every week in the 90’s. Sometimes several. This is one I never got around to. Really weird for me. Robin Williams always makes me emotionalized. I need to see this so sorry, I can’t watch this. I’m going to purchase it to stream soon.
Thanks for choosing this one though!! I chuckle at your reactions- both of you. So hilarious.
Thanks!
A really good Robin Williams film that you will love is Bicentennial man..great film..
I was holding it together until you two started😢 and then that was all she wrote for me😭. I love your reviews they’re always so honest and genuine.
great movie, I remember reading that the farting wife scene was improvised by Robin Williams, the laughter was real.
16:39 - That was an improv by Williams, which explains Matt's laughter
The farting story was improvised by Robin Williams, total genius
Awww crying again watching this with u two😢
Great react… appreciate the transparency. Keep’em coming!!
Thank you! Will do!
