The scene where Affleck's character tells Will that the best day for him, would be one where he would wake up to the reality of hos friend having left... Gets me every single time. The slight bitterness about not having such a gift, but the immense brotherly love for Will. That is acceptance. Peace of mind, in a nuttshell.

The Fields Medal is an actual award. It's called "the Nobel Prize of Mathematics". It's awarded to mathematicians under the age of 40. So, you can really understand the jealousy of Jerry to Will, even though he respected him too. The "who is this person" game, I think, was really important to the movie and especially that part of the movie. Ted Kaczynski was so brilliant, if not for the psychological issues he had and what it turned him into. Will, the same thing, except with an even harder edge. It wouldn't be hard to see that if Will got really pushed to the edge...he could totally turn on the world and strike back. I would've loved to have seen Good Will Hunting when it came out. I started my first freshman semester at my university. If you watch when Will is hugging Sean and crying, you'll see that Sean's eyes are smiling and joyful. He knows what a breakthrough that was. You need to watch Finding Forrester, if you haven’t yet. it’s the same director as Good Will Hunting. Though it wasn’t as big as Good Will Hunting, it was just as good as it. It stars Sean Connery, he plays a reclusive writer who teaches an athlete how to write
6:49 - I haven't seen anyone make this point, but what Matt Damon's character is grilling that dude over is basically the same thing that Robin Williams' character flips on him in that park bench scene.
As an action science fiction horror fan, I don't often cry ^^ But there are exactly two films where even I have to get out my handkerchief. Good will Hunting and Meet Joe Black
Michelle and Natalie I loved your reactions to such a good, thoughtful movie. Major props to your honest and sincere reaction to a story of a person struggling to find himself and the friends, mentors that help him along the way plus the love and caring of a good woman. Vincit qui se vincit. He conquers who conquers himself! A lot of moments that mattered.
Ladies, I cry every time I watch this... even with you in the abbreviated version. It's with Shawshank Redemption for feel-good buddy movies where characters experience tremendous growth throughout the film. Thank you for reacting to this one. It is a special piece of art when one watch just isn't sufficient. 📽🎞💚
I too never saw this movie when it came out despite everyone I knew raving about it. I think my favorite scene is the park bench scene. Robin Williams owns every scene he is in. He truly was a great, versatile actor. If you want to see him like you have never seen him before, I recommend the movies "Insomnia" and "One Hour Photo". If you want to see an great underrated dark comedy with him and Edward Norton, watch "Death to Smoochy". Great video as always ladies.
Off the top of my head, I'd say The Green Mile is the biggest tear jerker movie for me. I saw it in the theaters and remember thinking this movie is almost over, I better pull myself together, but then I could hear others in the audience just balling uncontrollably and I felt relieved that I wouldn't be the only one walking out of the theater looking like I was having an allergic reaction to clams.
Warrior with Tom Hardy is another tear jerker well worth a watch. Gets most men I’ve known teary and my wife, who is training to be a counsellor, “ugly cried” for fifteen minutes after.
Can u believe these 2 dorks, Matt and Ben, started writing this in their early twenties, having no idea what or how to write! And someone they knew was blown away, and got a rough bit to robin! And how they got Robin and Stellen to do this, I'll never know! Robin won an Oscar for this! After Robin died, Matt goes back to the bench every year on Robin's bday, sometimes with his kids. The park bench is a memorial now! The younger guy is Casey Affleck! The red head is now in Yellowstone, Cole Hauser! A fantastic actor, but a bit of a loose cannon. His father was even a better actor, but certifiable! Wings Hauser!! Originally, they didn't know how to write the end. Robin comes up with the final line, director and Matt look at each other like, Movie done! He add-libbed the wife farting lines. Matt is cracking up for real. Even the camera man was rolling....look at the camera frame on that scene, it's shaking! Robin has done several top feel good movies. This, patch Adams, good morning Vietnam, awakenings, Dead Poets, and really one could say the bird cage, Doubtfire and Jumanji....which is really a movie about Spielberg's relationship with his dad. In this movie, Ben is actually quite smart, with his brother, with the employee guys, he talks them into the dust! He could do sales, marketing, etc., he also doesn't know his potential. If u like movies like this, and genius and chess and life lessons, try this true story movie about a little boy, who's a chess player. ua-cam.com/video/nDZSqnzXQJc/v-deo.htmlsi=LwLnfOk_l9eKHlkV
I love seeing peoples first reaction to Good Will Hunting because this movie really hit me the first time I saw it, yes its impossible to sit through some of those scenes and not cry like a baby.
"Do you like apples?" "Yeah." "Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?" Fun Fact: Gus Van Sant painted the picture that hangs in Sean Maguire's (Robin Williams') office. Five Year Dream Fact: The very first day of the shooting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck started crying out of happiness, because it was a scene between Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgård, accomplished actors, doing Damon's and Affleck's scene verbatim, and they had waited so long (five years) for this to happen. What Script Fact: The lines in the scene when Sean talks about his late wife's farting antics were ad-libbed by Robin Williams. That is why Matt Damon was laughing so hard. If you watch the scene carefully, you can notice the camera shaking a bit, possibly due to the cameraman laughing as well. Robin Williams' last line in the film "Son of a bitch. He stole my line" was also ad-libbed. MIT Connection Fact: Matt Damon, a former Harvard student, originally intended to make the title character a physics prodigy. He discussed his idea with Sheldon L. Glashow, a Nobel laureate in physics and, at the time, a Harvard professor. Glashow told him that the premise did not ring true to him: he suggested that the main character be a math prodigy instead. He referred Damon to his brother-in-law, Daniel Kleitman, a professor of mathematics at MIT, who provided advice on the story. Both Glashow and Kleitman are thanked in the credits.
Never watched a first time reaction where they didn't cry, just like you two ladies did and it binds us all together with our shared humanity...Williams and Damons characters needed each other and drew each other out from their past into a new life....and Williams 'Park' monolgue is one of the greatest, to think Damon and Affleck wrote this in their early 20's.....astounding...(I think the bench where Williams said those words is a shrine often visited)
Robin Williams acting range was amazing. A great example of his chops is his performance in the 1998 film What Dreams May Come. It will definitely make you feel strong emotions throughout and evoke a strong reaction so I hope yall add it to your must see list as a Robin film follow-up.
"Do you like Apples? Michelle and Natalie loved this movie. How about them Apples!" Y'all about got my with the tears 🥲. It's a great movie and I remember feeling the emotional moments the first time I watched this movie. 🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉 Take care ladies.
I said before and I’ll say it again, it behooves one to watch this movie every year to remind us of life’s important lessons. Yes, I cry as a 69 yr. old man but I’ve always been emotional due to Cerebral Palsy. Although my disability is ever so slight, it’s enough to notice a difference in my motor skills.
During Sean's speech on couple intimacy, it's amazing to feel how he takes us from laughter to deep emotion. I love this film and I've seen a lot of reactions about it. This is the film with the most authentic emotions I've ever seen, without using children, etc., how easy they are to bring us to tears.
I used to go to movies every week in the 90’s. Sometimes several. This is one I never got around to. Really weird for me. Robin Williams always makes me emotionalized. I need to see this so sorry, I can’t watch this. I’m going to purchase it to stream soon. Thanks for choosing this one though!! I chuckle at your reactions- both of you. So hilarious.
Are you guys sisters? You both look different, but your voices are so similar and so are your eyes...oh, well you're both lovely. Had fun watching the reaction and enjoyed the movie- always makes me cry. 😅
You're correct, great insight. Beauty and pain do go together. Everyone on this Earth goes through pain and suffering but the real beauty of people and life is how we come together and hold each other up, and deal with pain and suffering. I've seen this movie many times, and I still cry. Seeing Ben Affleck feel some happiness for his friend when he realizes he isn't there, even though he lost his friend and his heart is also probably dropping, is so beautiful. That was a great piece of acting, first he realizes it and it takes a few seconds to process it and you can see that little grin. I cried on that scene too just like you lol.
This movie is one of Robin Williams best performances I have ever seen next to One Hour Photo. It’s really my favorite movie of all time. He definitely proved that he can be both a serious actor and a comedic actor at the same time.
1 Hour Photo was a very sad movie. It was supposed to be “scary and suspenseful” but it was just depressing more than anything. Another great “villainous” role by Robin Williams is Insomnia which came out the same year
It may seem sacrilegious but I always enjoyed Robin Williams in dramatic roles over his comedic ones. One thing that does seem to hold is that traditionally funny actors can play serious roles more easily than traditionally serious actors being able to play comedic roles.
@@jmiyagi12345 sorry, but I strongly disagree with that for the most part. From what I understand, it’s the other way around… dramatic actors can do comedy even better than alot of comedians and comedians can rarely ever be good dramatic actors. The only 2 comedians that can pull off dramatic acting is Robin Williams and Jim Carrey… Jeff Daniels is mostly known for drama, but he blew everybody away in Dumb and Dumber with Jim. He was funnier than most comedians in that movie
@@nsasupporter7557 Will Ferrell, not to be confused with a good actor, does very solid work in his dramatic roles. Probably his better work. Carrey, as you mentioned, was much better than he was given credit for. I am honestly struggling with coming up with dramatic actors who can do straight comedy. Maybe Jack Nicholson, but it’s usually just him being crazy, which might just be his default setting.
Great movie. Glad you liked it. Robin Williams did a great job. I'm not a big _love story_ fan, but this one felt real and honest, not cheesy or unrealistic like most of the others do.
Thank you so much, #ForceOfLightEntertainment, for the awesome movie reaction. I'm still supporting you because your content is so amazing, and also because I enjoy watching your reactions to different TV shows and movies.
"You disrespect my Wife again i will END You... you got that Chief?" I love that you Ladys have discovered this gem. Hey Nat! 😉
The worst part is you see Hollywood won't make a movie like this anymore. Doesn't bring enough draw for the time. Writing is almost dead and so are good movies
Nah, they’ve just transferred the good stories to making a series on streaming services. And there absolutely are still independent productions that are good. The pendulum will swing back towards smaller, character driven stories, eventually.
Facts! I "absolutely hate" this movie because there wasn't a ton of amazing special effects! Only high-quality writing, acting, cinematography, pacing, etc...
I cry every time i watch it. Or any reaction I see. 100’s of times. Sean’s speeches on the park bench and at the end along with chuckie’s speech at the end are some of the best monologues in history
Great movie and reaction. No matter how often i see this it makes the water works up at the end. I love Natalie the Red showing her hand with the water works getting a drink before the flood gates open each time. Definitely sub'd
Never shed a tear. I always get close between this film and Interstellar. I heavily identify with Will in the film and know I need the therapy just hard to make the time.
First time watching, and realized those were third year problems on the chalkboard. Took me a bit out of the movie. Recently, asked a history professor from the local uni if he thought the history lesson Will gave was too easy. He said no. So, not all watered down.
My twin brother passed away the same month and year that Robin Williams did. Somedays it hits me that its coming up on a decade since then. But most days,,,,, it always seems like yesterday. Rest In Paradise Robin❣️
I was thinking bout this movie and I just realized that last scene with Robin Williams and Will was a metaphor for how Will was pushing those he loved away so he wouldn't get hurt. Will physically pushes Williams character away but he stands firm. He shows he won't abandon him even after he has built trust with Will. Then the breakthrough. I think masculine energy is more prone to be adept at showing the firm and strong, supportive but not smothering love. That brotherly/father type of thing. I guess Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are smarter than I thought as screenwriters. LOL I cried at the movie but I have overactive tear ducts and will cry at a Folger's commercial or yawning. It's so attractive to the ladies....😅
i've yet to watch the ending scene without crying. Ive watched this movie maybe 20 times. For more gut wrenching movies i recoomend Manchester by the sea if you havent seen it.
Amazing to think this was written by Matt Damon in college, then turned in to a film that gave Robin Williams his only Oscar. And yeah,I teared up..A 56 year old man can still get emotional.Especial THAT scene.
Good Will Hunting is one of my favourite movies. It is insanely good. A few years ago I found a clip on another channel explaining the history of 3 mathmaticians, that is believed to heavily have inspired Matt Damon when making this movie. George Dantzig was a math university student. He usually came late to classes for different reasons. Came in, saw a problem on the blackboard and wrote it down, thinking if was homework. Worked all weekend, because the problem was harder than usual. On monday afternoon he came in to the professors office and handed in the homework, mentioning it was a hard one. Professor didn't think much of it, but took a look a few days later. Early in the morning the professor started banging like a maniac on the door of Dantzig. Screaming. "you fucking solved it, you fucking solved it. Those weren't homework, those were unsolved mathmatical problems and you solved them!!" William Sidis was a young mathmatical genius. He held lectures for his classmates at age 12, at Harvard. Graduated at age 16. He started to hate academia and became involved in communism. At age 19 he was part of a communist riot in boston. Was arrested. Was forced into therapy. The therapist? His own dad. The parents locked Sidis in, he wasn't allowed to exit the house. When the forced therapy was getting closer to be done, the parents were planning on kidnapping and forcing their son to move with them to California. They even threatened him to have him placed in a mental hospital if he didn't obey them. Sidis managed to avoid but swore off all types of Academia. He held a job in New York, lived alone. His landlord said he lead of constant bitterness and died of stroke, age 46. Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathmatical genius discovered in his 20s. He had learned all the math he knew just from books he had managed to accees. No formal training, no university. He was still considered one of the most accomplished mathmaticians and his mentor has said about Ramanujan that if he was discovered earlier he could have been the most important mathmaticians of all time. Math is a young man sport. There is so much you need to learn, before you can start evolving new math. Srinivasa Ramanujan died at age 32. So. To make it more simple. The relationship between the professor and Will Hunting = Srinivasa Ramanujan. The therapy and trouble kid = William Sidis. The kid that solved impossible homework = George Dantzig.
Just got off work, classic movie I just got off work. That’s why I missed this classic movie ladies wonderful performance by Ben Affleck, Robin Williams, and Matt Damon.

With the greatest of respect; it was good to see you both cry. Beautiful reaction ladies.
Thank you!
Thanks KB!!
@@ForceOfLightEntertainment You are welcome!😄🌷
Absolutely, without a doubt, the best editing of this movie ever!
This movie makes me cry every time, and I've probably seen it a dozen times. It's really inspiring to me.
Lovely reaction. Enjoyed your intelligent and empathetic response to this incredible script. I’ll watch more of yours, many thanks.
Aww thank you! Great movie!!
You've both narrowed down what makes this movie so special. You're both so awesome!
Aww thank you Charles!! You are too!
I didn't cry, you did.
We definitely did 😂
I too never saw this movie when it came out despite everyone I knew raving about it.
Thank you! RW was a special talent!
They don't make enough movies like this in Hollywood. I think I felt every emotion there is in this one. ❤
Good job ladies
Thank you!!
I think that's the biggest problem honestly..no emotional connection
Off the top of my head, I'd say The Green Mile is the biggest tear jerker movie for me. I saw it in the theaters and remember thinking this movie is almost over, I better pull myself together, but then I could hear others in the audience just balling uncontrollably and I felt relieved that I wouldn't be the only one walking out of the theater looking like I was having an allergic reaction to clams.
There's so many iconic lines from this film. It's one of the few "perfect' films.
he redeems himself as an exceptional counselor as much as his friend is a great mathematician
Warrior with Tom Hardy is another tear jerker well worth a watch. Gets most men I’ve known teary and my wife, who is training to be a counsellor, “ugly cried” for fifteen minutes after.
No one reacts to that movie and I been waiting years for the reactors to start doing it lol

Great reaction girls ❤ - thank you both!
Thank you!!
I love seeing peoples first reaction to Good Will Hunting because this movie really hit me the first time I saw it, yes its impossible to sit through some of those scenes and not cry like a baby.
"Do you like apples?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?"
Fun Fact: Gus Van Sant painted the picture that hangs in Sean Maguire's (Robin Williams') office.
😢😂😂😂
RIP, Robin Williams, we love you, we miss you.
It will definitely make you feel strong emotions throughout and evoke a strong reaction so I hope yall add it to your must see list as a Robin film follow-up.
oh yeah, this movie makes me cry every time i've seen it. it's one of my favorite movies.
This is one of those rare movies...
😭😭😭 Thank you for this reaction, ladies.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Stephen!
You two are sweet, everyone cries at this movie.
Thanks!
Just watched your reaction and I just subscribed to the channel. I loved your reaction so much . Keep it up
Thank you so much!!
Are you guys sisters? You both look different, but your voices are so similar and so are your eyes...oh, well you're both lovely. Had fun watching the reaction and enjoyed the movie- always makes me cry. 😅
Yes, we are :)
Great reaction! You two are the cutest
Thank you!!
Exceptional movie and a Robin Williams gem!! Thank you for the reaction
I just love this movie. Made me tear up again watching you lovely ladies. I love watching both your reactions
Thank you! It’s a tear jerker for sure!
This movie is one of Robin Williams best performances I have ever seen next to One Hour Photo. It’s really my favorite movie of all time. He definitely proved that he can be both a serious actor and a comedic actor at the same time.
Agreed!
We appreciate that!! Thanks!! 💚
"You disrespect my Wife again i will END You... you got that Chief?" I frickin love this film, one of Robin Williams best performances for sure, Ben Affleck is that rare Best friend we all need more in our lives, true Best Friends always want the best for you even if it means you moving on from them in some way. I love that you Ladys have discovered this gem. Hey Nat! 😉
It is an excellent movie!
I have watched this film so many times. It is just so good. Robiln Williams was a truly extraordinary actor.
I don’t even think I fully understand his talent level until this!
I can’t remember it, I do however remember watching it
This is just...a beautiful film. One of those that everyone with a heartbeat needs to see at least once.
Also yes...I teared up. Several times.
If y'all want another amazing Robin Williams performance, check out "Dead Poets Society"
The worst part is you see Hollywood won't make a movie like this anymore. Doesn't bring enough draw for the time. Writing is almost dead and so are good movies
Writing is there but the generation who would value it, is not.
So crazy how true it is it’s really tragic a lot of people grow up on movies that shape them not everyone is gonna see stuff like this anymore
Okay Debbie downers....
Thank you ladies for a genuine and heartfelt review.
Thanks for watching!
It’s one of my favorites. I get teary eyed sometimes. Love it. Love the set it’s set up in, Boston.
Great movie and reaction. No matter how often i see this it makes the water works up at the end. I love Natalie the Red showing her hand with the water works getting a drink before the flood gates open each time. Definitely sub'd
Thank you!! ☺️
Never shed a tear. I always get close between this film and Interstellar. I heavily identify with Will in the film and know I need the therapy just hard to make the time.
More than one, ladies.
First time watching, and realized those were third year problems on the chalkboard. Took me a bit out of the movie. Recently, asked a history professor from the local uni if he thought the history lesson Will gave was too easy. He said no. So, not all watered down.
Fun fact: Both your souls are beautiful.
☺️☺️
my bois wicked smaaaart
My twin brother passed away the same month and year that Robin Williams did. Somedays it hits me that its coming up on a decade since then. But most days,,,,, it always seems like yesterday.
Rest In Paradise Robin❣️
Very sorry about your loss.
@@ForceOfLightEntertainment Gracias😊
@@randallespinosa4264 sorry for your loss
I was thinking bout this movie and I just realized that last scene with Robin Williams and Will was a metaphor for how Will was pushing those he loved away so he wouldn't get hurt. Will physically pushes Williams character away but he stands firm. He shows he won't abandon him even after he has built trust with Will. Then the breakthrough.
I think masculine energy is more prone to be adept at showing the firm and strong, supportive but not smothering love. That brotherly/father type of thing.
I guess Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are smarter than I thought as screenwriters. LOL
I cried at the movie but I have overactive tear ducts and will cry at a Folger's commercial or yawning. It's so attractive to the ladies....😅
This is a personal all-time favorite of mine. Excellent the whole way. I still get emotional, I still connect with it. Great movie
Omg i think i just fell in love with you two watching your reactions to the "its not your fault" scene. Precious. THATS what cinema should do.
😢❤❤❤
i've yet to watch the ending scene without crying. Ive watched this movie maybe 20 times. For more gut wrenching movies i recoomend Manchester by the sea if you havent seen it.
Yep, teary eyes every time I see this one.
As soon as I see your video thumbnail I drop everything and click on it!! “This is going to be GOOD!!”
Amazing to think this was written by Matt Damon in college, then turned in to a film that gave Robin Williams his only Oscar.
And yeah,I teared up..A 56 year old man can still get emotional.Especial THAT scene.
ahh geez, i get distracted constantly watching this.
Your gonna get charged is one of my favorite lines. Glad you enjoyed it.
Love this movie: looking forward to this reaction 🍿
The film “As Good as it Gets” won best actor and actress. But this movie beat it out for best supporting actor… Robin Williams! 😊
Those weren't homework, those were unsolved mathmatical problems and you solved them!!"
William Sidis was a young mathmatical genius.
It's one of my favourite movies, if not my favourite. I cry every time without fail.
I don’t know how anyone could get through this without crying.
Just got off work, classic movie I just got off work. That’s why I missed this classic movie ladies wonderful performance by Ben Affleck, Robin Williams, and Matt Damon.
