    Also, see my 2017 Lexus RX 350 review here: ua-cam.com/video/4ivnUV6VeA0/v-deo.html
    Let me know your thoughts on the MDX, and I would love to hear from some MDX owners on how this vehicle has held up for you. If you want to see what vehicles I work on next, please follow me on insta @exhaustsports or become a Patreon member. Lexus videos are certainly coming

      This is my family car. We have the 2015 model at less than 30k miles. It holds up well and I'm glad to see a long-term review on it. Agree with you in the video that it handles very well for its size. Honestly feel like the MDX or other SUV/Crossovers by Acura are the only cars worth buying for the long run (exception to NSX enthusiasts). Like you said previously, why spend the extra money on their sedans unless you're a recent college graduate with a little extra headroom to spend on clout

    I just got a 2014 and performed a transmission reset myself in 1 min. The car drives even better! It’s an easy process too. Just put the ignition in accessory mode(push red button twice), all the gauges will light up in the gauge cluster, pay attention to the check engine light, hold down gas pedal for like 10 secs, then the check engine light will turn off, turn off the car, then start up like normal. And you’ll have yourself a better running transmission. It felt like it took 30k miles off the car

    We have a 2008 with 106K miles.....its been a wonderful car, no issues run great, looks great no rust issues. It's my wife's car ans she treated it very well. Have all service records since new and it's never been serviced anywhere except our local Acura dealer. Yes, that has cost a little more even on oil changes but well worth it. At 98K miles we had it the complete service, water pump, timing chain, complete transmission, set the valves and everything else it required. We too it on a trip in CA and we were amazed at the difference.
    It normally was getting about 22 mpg on the highway, but after our trip it got 26.5 mpg!!!! it was really awesome and yes we have always put premium it the car since new. The bill was $ 2,500 for all the repairs but that is way cheaper than buying a new car or new car!!! I would recommend a 2008 Acura MDX to all......

    I can vouch for the MDX being an overall quality vehicle. We had an 04’ Mdx that kept running till we got to 195k where transmission started slipping. Engine still intact and running great. Replaced the transmission and it was back to normal. For being able to start with 11 miles to 195k ... that’s pretty good. Zero problems.

    Love my 2014 Acura MDX. Totally agree with the reviewer on fun to drive. Great feel during acceleration especially after 5000 rpms...what a kick. You have to change the timing belt, water pump, and related parts at 105000 miles. I put in ruthenium spark plugs and they are perfect. Valves need to be adjusted around 125-15000 miles. It has been a joy to drive.

    I feel the same with the mdx. I used to own a 2014 before selling to my in-laws. As the driver it rides comfortable, handles well, and has good acceleration. However as a passenger it really sucks. Feels all the bumps, not as comfortable, and makes me feel nauseous. The infotainment system is not as straight forward. This is a fun car to drive when younger, but being older I would prefer a Lexus. Not as great handling but much more comfortable. Never had a problem with the mdx for the years we owned it.

      Exhaust Sports Auto the Ridgeline handles better than the RDX because of the iVTM-4 system. I am very satisfied of it

      @MeynMotorGroup  4 роки тому

      Nice and I’m assuming all these vehicles have been holding up pretty good

    • @LouAntonioGiordano
      @LouAntonioGiordano 4 роки тому

      Exhaust Sports Auto I need new tires on the Accord, which is a wear n tear item. The Accord has almost 130k on it and I followed the manual recommended maintenance schedules. The usual spark plugs, battery, fluids, bulbs blah blah blah. The window regulator broke and I replaced it, that’s the only non-maintenance thing I can think of. Going to sell it soon because I don’t drive it anymore.
      I’ve replaced the right power folding mirror twice on the RDX because my girlfriend kept hitting the garage door frame while backing in, bending it backwards and destroying the stoppers. But that’s not the manufacturer’s fault.
      However, I am going to point out that the windshields on these newer Pilot, Ridgeline, and passports are really weak. The Ridgeline’s got 22k and I am already on my second windshield and it already has a huge crack on it.
      Other than those everything is fine. I leave all my vehicles completely stock and rarely drive them hard so there’s never any abnormal wear on anything.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 роки тому +1

      Got it yea that is some great ownership information you shared my friend really appreciate that and I’m sure someone will find value with it. Glad to see that as a whole those vehicles have been treating you all well.

    I will be buying a USED midsized SUV in the future and am considering the 2014 ACURA MDX, LEXUS RX 350, TOYOTA HIGHLANDER, and TOYOTA VENZA, which really isn't an SUV but is fully capable of doing what I need it to do. Any thoughts or recommendations?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  2 роки тому

      Highlander or Venza will do you good

    • @johnstephanos1128
      @johnstephanos1128 8 місяців тому

      When you're looking at the LEXUS RX 350 and the ACURA MDX, you're basically comparing America's favorite mid-size luxury SUVs. Lexus is Toyota's luxury branch, and Acura is Honda's version of luxury, so the real contest is between Toyota and Honda. That means you should probably not bother with the other two cars on your list, the Highlander and the Venza. They're great cars-especially the latest Highlanders with all their features-but they don't quite match up to the luxury you get with Acura and Lexus. Now, if you're all about engine strength, lots of space, and fancy features, go for Acura. However, if a smooth ride and saving at the gas pump are more your style, then Lexus might be your pick. Personally, I lean towards Acura-after all, it's a Honda, and that practically screams reliability.

      @Minho waa I feel that once you look at all the carfax history on 2014 acura MDX vehicles with over 100k miles. The service history of each vehicle will tell you a lot as far as what issues you might have. Honda engines and cars are simply solid a lot of minor issues are affordable to fix. Plus take for instance the wear and tear on this 120k MDX he reviews take a look at the leather and plastics after 120k? Not much warping at all compared to other cars out there after 100k. The rattling you can fix that with the decent suspension to smooth out the ride a bit more and just a good set of beefy tires. But all in all i'm all in for a used 2014 acura to see this vehicle still running solid after 100k miles makes my day better. Trust me there are many more used vehicles out there that literary shit out the guts before 100k miles. GM, CHRYSLER, SOUNDS FAMILIAR?
