The Kinks were an English rock band formed in London in 1963 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. They are regarded as one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s. The Kinks' music drew from a wide range of influences, including American R&B and rock and roll initially and later adopting British music hall, folk, and country. The band gained a reputation for reflecting English culture and lifestyle, fuelled by Ray Davies' wittily observational writing style. The Kinks and the songs of Ray Davies are now rightfully established as a great British institution. From the opening riff of You Really Got Me, The Kinks’ influence as pioneers in heavy metal, power pop, conceptual albums, and theatrical shows can be detected in much modern music.
This, and much more, can be seen on this UA-cam channel exclusively devoted to these true British originals.

Just gets truer decade after decade. That’s what happens when you lower the bar on the kind of people you elect.

I am dead certain that this song is about Peter Rachman, a Polish Jewish slumlord (read: gangster) who built up a real estate empire in the West End of London and was notorious for charging exorbitant rents and threatening tenants in Notting Hill.
Rachman rented flats to showgirls Mandy Rice Davies (with whom he had an affair) and Christine Keeler, and was involved in the Profumo scandal which brought down the British Conservative government in 1963. He also had dealings with the Kray twins, who tried to swindle him out of his properties. Rachman's abusive practices were so notorious in England that a word bearing his name "Rachmanism" has since entered the Oxford English dictionary.
The references to Rachman's Jewishness are evident in the lyrics' comic paraphrasing of Shylock's soliloquy from "The Merchant of Venice" and in the music itself, which is after the style of Kurt Weill -- the preeminent German Jewish composer of the Weimar era.

No pleas needed. The world is at war with the US paying billions and billions under this libtard president. Throw in bidens murder of 13 marines during pull out of Afghanistan, leaving millions in weapons, awful inflation, 8 million ILLEGALS coming into our country equates to an easy Trump victory (especially with all the false court cases they throw at him). Trump 2024 🎉🎉
