    Gearing, battery, TSM VS
    TQI, possible maintenance issues on each truck vs new unused trucks makes a big difference so hard to really draw a conclusion. I like the vent holes on the BL2S but sand and debris can get in there and cause issues. Being sealed is why I’m partial to the VXL. My 2cents. What you really accomplished was showing how fun RC bashing can be. Good job!!! Hope you get lots of views.

      Both trucks have been maintained the same, the gearing is at what the two motors should reasonably be able to handle (though the VXL runs a lot hotter than BL-2S so it might not be able to handle the 19T in summer), TSM and TQi are the same radio system (I assume you meant TSM vs TQ), but the only thing it changed is how well the truck can drive straight. I’ve driven the BL-2S in sand recently and there’s no sign of any sand getting inside it, so I do t really think stuff getting in is a problem.
      However, I do see where you’re coming from. There are quite a few differences between the two trucks, but I think what we said still stands. The VXL has way too much power for the 2WD Stampede, and since there’s no way we know of to decrease its torque, even with the Link app, the BL-2S is a better fit for this truck, but VXL would be better for 4x4’s.
      Thanks for watching and thanks for your feedback.

      TQ vs TQi with TSM
      When you use the Bluetooth link module you can tone down the percentage of throttle and the braking. This can balance performance. The one pro you mentioned on the vxl is you can use a 3s battery which would also include much faster speed. The vxl might get hotter by your experience but my experience has been it really depends on ambient temperature, gearing and surface you are bashing or racing on. Like grass, thick vs cut short, sand, loose gravel or dirt etc.. I appreciate your opinions but disagree with your conclusion.
      I have been buying product from an online place called Jenny’s RC. They have BL-S2 motor and ESC for $106
      And VXL ESC and motor for $118
      I personally cannot justify buying a slower setup for just $12 saving when I can simply retune the vxl to be less crazy fast when I could never tune the BL-S2 to be any where near as fast as a VXL. Plus I love the crazy fast !!!
      Thanks for the video and keep em coming. I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to see what you put out next.

      Like I said before, I see where you’re coming from. The main issue I have with the VXL system in these trucks is that there’s not really much capability for decreasing punch other than loosening the slipper clutch-which we don’t like to have to do. Even with the link app, I’m unaware of any way to reduce punch (and I’ve checked several times). Plus, 3S in this truck would be nuts. Way too much power. Perhaps if they had the Magnum 272R, but I still think 2S would be the best voltage to run.
      Thanks for subscribing! What do you think I should do next? I haven’t shown my Hoss properly in video yet, so maybe I should do a video on it.

      What's the run time for the new 2s system?@@FalconfireRC

    • @FalconfireRC
      @FalconfireRC  8 місяців тому

      @@Intoxrox Undetermined at the moment (at least in ordinary driving conditions). Cold saps power from the LiPO and running them through snow shortens the run time, as it strains the electronics so more energy is used. In ordinary driving conditions, and depending on the driving style, it would probably have comparable, or better run time than the VXL system (40+ minutes with a 5,800mah 2S).
      It’s also worth noting that the LiPO I run in this is 5,000mah, not 5,800.

    If you change to a electric Rustler chassis it’s a secret low center gravity 4 the stampede. Good video comparing the 3 trucks. Thanks 👍

      Your welcome. I wish we could have done more comparison stuff for the XL-5, but as I said, our sister refused to help us and it’s extremely awkward to drive with two transmitters.

    should i buy a bigfoot or a 2wd brushed stampede?

    • @FalconfireRC
      @FalconfireRC  6 місяців тому +1

      The only differences are the body and the tires. The body on the Bigfoot is licensed and also weaker because of its boxy design (it tends to crack around the cab and corners of the front and back). It is also double the cost of the Stampede’s body to replace ($80 vs $40). In my opinion, the Talon tires of the ordinary Stampede are better than the Bigfoot’s, at least on grass and loose surfaces because they hook up better and have foam inserts.
      Unless you really like the body design of the Bigfoot, I would get the Stampede. Hope this helps

      thanks! i was confused on which to buy because i like the body of the big foot but i was wondering if it was worth the extra 30 bucks@@FalconfireRC

    The shock's are shot on the vxl, rebuild or get a new set, then re do the test.. tsm isn't why it doesn't track straight

    • @FalconfireRC
      @FalconfireRC  5 місяців тому

      The truck is 2 1/2 years old and the shocks have never been serviced so that makes sense.

    what is your gearing

    • @FalconfireRC
      @FalconfireRC  3 місяці тому

      In this video, the BL-2S truck has 21/90 and the VXL truck has 19/90.
      Now both trucks have 21/90 gearing. We plan to re-make this video soon for a more even/accurate comparison.

      The BL-2S truck has TSM. The VXL truck doesn’t. We plan on redoing this comparison once my brother gets TSM for the VXL truck, and I get new rear tires for the BL-2S truck
