Girlllllll, thanks sooooo very much! I didn’t know Zazzle had so many products! I’m opening a store!
And they even have more since this video came out LOL
Good luck :)
Thanks for keep up with all 35 ideas. Thanks for unique content, knowledge and experience.
My pleasure!
I "heard" the whole zazzle series while i was mowing a golf course at work....so I'm back now that I can actually watch them. Thanks sooooo much for all the work you put into it
That's so cool !!!
Though i can imagine that just hearing at times- could have been a bit confusing LOL
I think my latest video is good for "hearing" - I talk a lot with almost no visuals LOL ua-cam.com/video/VS0j8XxqAKk/v-deo.html
YES! Sticker tutorial please! Do you think it’s a good idea to have multiple shops or one shop with everything you sell? I will watch all of your videos. For one thing, you have so many ideas of what products to make. Your tutorials are always packed with good information explained clearly. I am grateful for every one. Thank you!
❤ Shirley
OMG! My head is now buzzing with ideas. Thanks so much, Mey, for all your hard work in putting this training together for us!
Happy to hear that :) May i ask... which ideas are those?? :) what topic for a shop most resonates with you ?
You’re the best part of UA-cam, Mey! THANK YOU!
Awwww that's so kind of you to say ! (and def a fun comment to read first thing in the morning :))
I do appreciate you and Detour shirts both of you are wonderful people. Blessings
Ohhhh I love Juna's channel- hardcore design tutorials for any level designer!!
Thank you for all the great information! Now I know how Zazzle is different from other POD platforms, and some ideas for how to organize my stores.
Loved this, Mey, from start to finish. So many great store ideas. Thank for being so generous and sharing so much great info! :)
Glad you liked it!
What resonated with you the most ? Like- what shop idea, or products, do you find to be "your thing" ?
I thank you for your ideas. I am still trying to get to the sell part. I seem to be stuck in personal website.
Interesting ideas, Mey, thank you! Although I wouldn't have a whole store with just one type of product. People usually search an item, and rarely go to the stores, except if they really like the design or picture, then they would look in your store for more products with that design. And if you just have one products you need hundreds of designs to fill your store. And another thing - each store has to be promoted separately (get Z ranks up and so on). Also you can have your style or art (or photography) type of store, and this could be your niche.
I def agree with most of what you said last- that stores should be promoted and marketed. Though i have seen several people succeed with a 1 product store- depending on what that product is- and how they market it. When you market it directly to your own shop's page, with a product that people might need r want several of (socks, puzzles, stuff like that) - it might work. Also, even when you do design "just" 1 product- Zazzle shows it's availability on other items.
I know that many people think you need a lot of product/designs, and I do believe that the more-the better... BUT, I was selling consistently on RedBubble with 22 designs (mostly 3 items that i was marketing) while RB UA-camrs would tell you you need a minimum of 100-300 designs to make a sale. So i guess anything is possible :)
(Same way that some people have 2000-3000 books on KDP, and sell less than people with 1-2 books well marketed and targeted. )
This was fire ❤
OMG, I’m so confused! Thank goodness you finished with the tips as my brain was scrambled after all those niches. 😂 Zazzle really is the POD artist’s oyster. Thanks again for a fun and informative vid, Mey. You really are helping me sort out what I want for my POD life. 😻
I agree! Mey is helping me to narrow my focus a bit and boy do I need that! She's really brilliant with marketing strategies too, which is my #1 weakness.
@@MizJaniceResinArt isn’t she the best! 💜 And always finds time to reply to messages and help us as individuals. Don’t ya just this girl!!! 😻
Mey Aroyo your work ethic and dedication and actual 'genius' (yes I know you don't relate to that term 🙃) are freaking impressive 💯. Thank you for always wanting to help us to succeed 🙏🏽🌺
I think I feel like some days i have this obsession with finishing things, and usually it follows with a day that i struggle to bring myself to work at all (Yesterday was a complete wash in terms of getting anything done, other than uploading 4 designs I had already made to Teepublic).
But nice seeing how other people see me LOL
@@MeyTribe that day 'on', followed by a day (or several days) of 'nope not happening' I find for me is the norm for living with chronic illness. And that's esp why I see you as I do, because I can relate to the behind the scenes personal challenges you overcome daily. Regardless, your content is top tier & as Americans love to say 'It is what It is' 😇
omg... i watched it end to end... you are just awesome and truly inspiring.. love you from the bottom of my heart .... thank you .... its amazing content... so useful....
Wow, thank you! warms my heart to hear it :)
Thank you for all of the ideas!
Glad you like them!
Great video!
I would luv a blog tutorial. I work in the medical field and my hobby is gaming in my spare time. I always get stuck on what I should focus on for print on demand.
Thanks for the video Mey, really opened my eyes as to how many products Zazzle had that I didn't know about!
Having been on the platform for just over a year, maybe listing on average 5 items a month in the same category, I've just hit 64 sales today. Most of those have come in just this last month too on one item!
Glad I'm not the only one that gets annoyed at seeing all the kids IP infringement stuff. I find it extremely difficult to sell original kids designs on any market place including Etsy and Zazzle...
Having watched all 5 episodes now, I do think I want to start dedicating a little more time to Zazzle and see if I can make it worth my time 🙂
I think that once people really see the actual platform, all of it, they def can be inspired to try and do more. It's all about understanding the options, as I am sure Zazzle has enough items to spark anybody's interest.
I am happy you liked this video, I think it was the one that took me the longest to make in a while now... Which shop idea or products stayed with you the most ?
@@MeyTribe well my wife and I currently sell greetings cards under a brand we started in early 2021. We only have 3 wrapping papers live on zazzle, so I'd like to do more as well as other things like the paper plates/cups etc and turn it more into a birthday/party store overtime.
Because of Father's Day we've had 1 or 2 sales everyday for the last 2 weeks. It's only 15p to 30p a sale for a single card, but at least it might help rank our account 😅
I wish Zazzle let you edit live products though, because a lot of pur original designs I didn't even know about editable text fields. They are just pngs even the writing. But because they have sold already I don't want to delete them and start again!
@@michaelrowlands9820 Def a bummer about not being able to go back to edit. When I did the personalized products video- I actually filmed the notebook part twice, as the first time I forgot to enable editing for the photo LOL
I like the idea of combining cards with wrapping paper, especially if you can follow the same theme on both :)
and good luck :) I think def products that are meant to be purchased multiple times (not a father's day card for 1 father) should def be the way to proceed in that category :)
@@MeyTribe yeah I think you're right about designing items that sell in multiple quantities. At first when we started Zazzle it was just another place to easily upload our card designs to try get them in more places and countries without the hassle of shipping them ourselves. But it's quite clear now after a year I don't think people shop on zazzle very much for this kind of product, as we've sold thousands of some of these card designs that don't get purchased on zazzle 🙂.
In a few year's when both our Daughters are in full-time education, we'll definitely spend more time on Zazzle and create more targeted products. So please let us know how you find your zazzle journey 🙂.
@@michaelrowlands9820 I'm so happy reading comments like yours :) I love seeing so many people in different stages of life thinking of expressing art/design in products, knowing it takes time and learning LOL
(I remember that before I started my channel I was afraid to just get viewers that comment "help I need money now" like I saw in a lot of POD groups and comments...)
I'm at 18:55 .. and Wow! Skateboards?! I would love to create and design a shop around skater products.. however ... how can I write a blog or promote this when I'm not a skater myself? ... this is what I find difficult when thinking of shop ideas ... how to blog about it... however I will continue to watch .. I love your videos Mey! ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Well, you can hire someone who is a skater (as well as an SEO content writer - that can write for you) , you can NOT promote this with a blog, or you can choose a different product.
what do you think as a person you can blog about?
(|a lot of times I think about the marketing first, and the product is born from there)
@@MeyTribe that's true!! Nice approach! I will rethink this 😊 thanks! 😁
Wow that was sooooo full of info Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I would love to hear more about taking a passion and turning it into a print on demand business. Personally for me, aside from my kids and my family, it’s art! I love trying all different things that are art related 😊 Obviously your video would be about your passion (puzzles maybe? 😁) but I would definitely be interested in that video. I’m looking to start on Zazzle in the very near future, I just need o get through my uni semester so I have time to do this properly! 😃
I def have a video listed for that, how to monetize an already existing passion or hobby.
My passion is not just puzzles... I have been playing the guitar for about 26 years now, I was heavily into Chess, mahJong, I LOVE journaling, and a lot more.
Good luck with your studies (may I ask what you're studying??)
As well as with your Zazzle store. Do you already have something you're interested in selling there?
I mean, art as a hobby can be monetized in so many ways, from people who do art videos on UA-cam having affiliate links to buying the brushes, paint, and pads they use, to people selling art on POD, printables, or their own originals.
@@MeyTribe For sure you can ask 😃 I'm studying a Bachelor of Arts with a major in communications, literature and digital media. My last project included a lot of artwork. I created an animated series to help children learn to read single letter sounds. My own children were excellent testers and were quick to help me see my mistakes 😆 For Zazzle, my first thought was notebooks and wall art. I'm not sure why they was my first thoughts, probably because I've heard a lot of people talk about them. Wall art is an idea for at least one store though, because I love to create images, usually with characters, although sometimes with patterns. But I am happy to consider exploring a little more now that I know there are so many options on Zazzle! And I really want to take it seriously. I will most likely be saving your video series to refer back to 🙂 Zazzle looks like a place that's easy to get lost in 😅
@@MeyTribe lol I hit send by accident! I love that you have so many interests! My son plays guitar and has become pretty good over the years, I enjoy listening to him practice 😊 I would love to get into journalling one day, do you find it helps a lot with organisation?
@@HellzSayzDANCE Journaling helped me get organized, or at least face the fact that I am only one person with limited time in a day and can't achieve everything.
I also love personal journaling for all my mental shit LOL
It's actually going to be my first KDP book. I am designing myself a self love journaling coloring book - and then digitizing it to make it into a physical book.
I fail at journaling daily. BUT- I can tell you there's a direct connection between the days I journal/meditate/practice tai chi- and the days i feel better
@@MeyTribe I definitely notice a difference too between those days of being "ok" and those days that feel like "Nope". If I'm meditating and doing yoga (I'd love to learn Tai chi) I have a much better day. But, I try to be productive and often forget how much more I can accomplish if I start with the so-called unproductive stuff.
Love your videos! They help me so much. 🙂
omg I adore you (not being weird! lol)!! 🤗This video was great. I think it'd be fun if someone started one of each shop 😆😆😁 - might be a fun experiment!! But honestly, these were great ideas and not just the same ones everybody else gives. Also I like that you talk about designing what you love and are passionate about versus what is popular. That idea can apply to different areas as well, like a UA-cam channel! It's an idea I've been wrestling with, because I suffer from ADD, and being a mom of four boys, so my focus isn't always there. It's very easy for me to start 300 different things / designs / ideas, and then not really be passionate about most of them 2 months later! working on my focus and future direction with ideas.
Also... you're hysterical "What is a YARD?!?!" 😆😆🤦♀️ And "Fox leather" teehee 🥰
Also, as an American, it's super enduring to hear you reference something, and say you have absolutely no idea what it's about or is for or why it's a thing! ! 😁🤗
as a side note, I am typing this comment and it is almost midnight Connecticut USA time, so it is almost your birthday. It probably already is over there lol!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope it is a great day, and thanks again for everything you share with us and all the help you provide!
Great video. A yard is 3 feet (36 inches). Just like a meter, but only a little bit shorter.
Zazzle sticker video yes!!
Will be !! :)
Many thanks for this and must have been a lot of work ... would certainly enjoy a video re zazzle stickers ... also my ears pricked up when you mentioned KDP ... I also have shiny object syndrome :)))
KDP is def gonna be my next big adventure, though I am really unsure as to what should be my first video on them... Maybe I will post a poll in the community tab about that.
And the Zazzle stickers video is on my list (as soon as I get those stickers here- it's ON!!!)
I have been enjoying this Zazzle series. Did you design the shirt under your long sleeved shirt? I love it. Is it your artwork?
Happy you are enjoying it.. and No, that tank top is something i found at a second hand shop here in Bulgaria... Though I am working on a similar design for it- for a shower curtain LOL
Thank you again!!
Thanks. I have one shop where i upload all my designs. Are you saying that for each product, I must have a different shop?
❤
Thanks for exposing us to so many different products! Zazzle offers SO MUCH! I'm wondering if it is possible for customers to access our library of images and choose which product they want to apply it to? If they like a particular collection it would be great if they could choose what they want it on, when it would be impossible for a creator to hit every product with every image.
I really enjoyed your y parts series on Zazzle - I would need the pixel for the socks yoga mat mugs etc ..would be grateful. Thanks much!
Pixels for these items on Zazzle? Zazzle has a bit of confusing measurements... However, whenever you get to the design dashboard of the product- on the side there is product info with inch measurements, design by them on 300 DPI :)
Would love to see a video on stickers!!!
Thanks for these ideas.... Can you do a set of fans for weddings? I'll appreciate it!!! 🙋
You mean a video for fan design ?
@@MeyTribe Yes, that's it!
I'll appreciate it! 🙌
Hi there. I love your channel and all of your ideas. I remember when you were under 1000 subscribers. Amazing to watch you grow! Im wondering what the upload sizes for images to Zazzle are. You mentioned shop banner size but I don’t remember you mentioning minimum/maximum file size and pixel dimensions for designing products.
I didn't mention the file sizes for items- as they are ALL different !! So many different products in different sizes, and zazzle aren't too generous with providing pixel sizes.
I take their inch sizes and multiply by 300 to create the pixels dimensions.
I was talking about that in the Zazzle wrapping paper video, maybe that would help:
ua-cam.com/video/-WJvTJrFyIs/v-deo.html
I love all your videos, thank you for sharing all this information. Can you make a tutorial about sticker design and how to sell them on Zazzle ? I'll appreciate it!!!
yeah i also want that type video
A dedicated- all sticker options on zazzle video is coming up ! (as soon as I get the stickers I ordered from them so I can add the value of the actual product quality )
@@relaxmindwithunivers Waiting for my Zazzle stickers- and then it's ON !
@@MeyTribe okey mey waiting
Nice video. Yes, video on stickers please.
Coming soon!
Got some of my stickers already to show in the video, will probably be a video on them beginning of July!
I enjoy watching your videos. I have two questions to ask. When you create stores, does each store have a banner description and a shop name? How do you organize the stores and the categories?
Yes, each store has to have a separate banner, store name, and Z rank. Categories could be organized any way you want - by different designs, products etc. Also they have collections. Whew... it's a lot to learn in Z, I am there for a few years already, and still learning.
I see Yulia beat me to it LOL (thanks Yulia :))
Regarding stores and their categories- it's up to you how to organize them, same as the dilemma maybe of organizing Pinterest boards. Kinda hard for me to specify without knowing the type of shop you wanna set up, what design style, and what products.
But I will try with an example. Let's say the cooking shop- you can organize based on: recipe cards, recipe notebooks, recipe mugs, aprons..... OR- organize by the type of the design featured on them - let's say if you have a baking theme for items, so a baking category.
Please make a tutorial about stickers, Mey!

At startup, it gave an error. I updated the firewood and it helped me)
The firewood? (you mean firewall?)
Hi Mel! I love your Channel and your amazing advice, thank you! I do have a question for you about advertising the shops we have. I have a dual career, as an illustrator but also as a clinical hypnotherapist, so I want to sell items that are inspirational and useful, such as quotes, good planers with affirmations, etc. Should I start a new Facebook profile? I have 1000 friends on mine and to build up a new FB profile would take me a long time. Would I confuse my clients if they see Zazzle store links? Thanks a lot! Keep going, you are amazing! ❤
Mostly people advertise using a FB page, not a profile, as a page can give you the option to sponsor ads. I don't really do that... and to be honest? I don't like FB marketing all that much, and way prefer IG now that they have link in story, as well as Pinterest, and your own blog/website.
There was a video about Zazzle marketing in this series:
ua-cam.com/video/0R70AeD0hjM/v-deo.html
Maybe it would shed some light on things..
Also- FB technically only allows one FB profile per person, and opening another one, while some people manage 2-3 profiles, is actually against their terms of service and can get you banned from FB if found out.
I don't know your clients, BUT- if you put links to your shop- make sure to explain that in the FB post.
@@MeyTribe thank you! I found Facebook pages to be quite useless and not seen by target customers. Instagram is probably a better option! Thanks for the link, which I will check out straight away! My question also wanted to see if posting about two totally different things, mental health and illustration, would confuse people! Thanks again!
Hii... greetings from India...nice video.
Thank you so much for sharing this❤❤ I got a question..I have 2 shops one for pride niche and another for wrapping papers alone...Say If I upload a design in tshirts/mugs for shop A. Then I generate a pattern with same design and upload it as wrapping paper in shop B...Will it be a problem...Can I upload same design to 2 stores provided that they are in different products...
I don't think there should be any issues with that as long as you don't report yourself as copying your own item :)
@@MeyTribe Haha😂That's helpful. Thank you so much for your quick reply❤❤
How many Zazzle stores do you have? Do you separate stores on Zazzle specifically for your puzzles, artwork and home décor? Or, do you put all products in one store? I am wondering if it would be better to have many shops for one group of items vs all items in one shop? I figure 10 Zazzle shops for the type of items I want to sell such as: wall art, everything coffee, home décor, Christmas, Tote bags, Skateboards and all men's store. I have been having a heck of a time trying to figure out collections, categories and what to put the designs and items under. Information for Zazzle is scarce because they want you to pay for courses to get the information. Most of my entire store was built on the information and instructions you have given us. I want to thank you for your generosity in doing this for free. A year ago, I went from not knowing what POD, Canva, Zazzle and Redbubble was to now having almost 250 items in my Zazzle and Redbubble stores thanks to you 👍 I am still on the learning curve with taking three steps forwards and 10 steps back. I have only had a few sales, however, I am not going to give up on it because I never knew I had it in me to even create all that I have done here because of you. Your time and videos are very appreciated by me and I am sure, thousands of others. Any advice would be very helpful😃 /store/the jasny company

monogram socks and the leather shop could go into the la business man shop ;)
Sounds good to me LOL
Honestly ? Even with these products I could have made 200 shop "combos" but yeah, monogrammed everything for the biz man!
I think you talked about this, but I forgot. But, can we have more than one Zazzle store?
You can have as many stores as you like.
As Many as your mind can handle LOL
I've been reading over some of the POD shops, i can't find anywhere on these sites, how the payments actually work, like if i sell a shirt let's say for $30.00, does this POD company expect me to first pay it all upfront, i mean the $30.00 or only the production fee, if so when does the customer buying the shirt have to pay for their order, i'm am very confused about this, could you please explain how it works?
With red bubble they send you your share (you can adjust the margins- it also increases the sales price. Standard is 20%) straight to your pay pal.
hello, I'm really struggling to make a nice main banner, everything what I create and upload seems to be blurry, even if I use recommendet size and resolution, recomended by Zazzle. Do you have any advice how to solve this? In my editing program is everything fine, sharp. Thank you in advance
I need a video on designing for the pillows they have. I couldn’t get the design all over the products....
What was the size that you were using for the design ?
we want more videos about pattern beause its very very useful to pod design know
I love that you guys love them so much !!
I see so many times on other POD channels doing "shop reviews" talking about the uselessness of patterns LOL
I am trying to think which platform most to use. I made some pattern brushes on procreate, but not sure many viewers here use them.
But Canva is always a good fit for pattern work. So either way- more videos on patterns coming up

How would you categorize your shops? Is it by PRODUCTS like for example "MUGS", " STAMPS" with different designs , or by THEMES like " Gardening" with all kinds of products with gardening elements, Baking with baking elements etc.
Well, you can categorize by type of item, and collection by style, or the other way around. It's up to you :)

Can I sell coloring book , activity book on Zazzle ??
There are no book inserts on zazzle that you can design… you can sell printable activity books on Etsy or your own website, or make activity books on KDP

These are several store ideas… however- so many products from one store idea can be used for a different store idea… the video is more about expanding your mind to the options :)

Hi. I think you need a few more advertisements on your channel? I'm 38 minutes in and we are at 14 or15 advertisements so far? Not sure if it's a UA-cam glitch? But it's a bit much I would say? Just wanted to let you know. Take care. Hawk out !!
14??? Oh wow, I set most of the videos to a UA-cam recommendation, and mostly people tell me they see an ad at the beginning and one in the middle. Maybe Google decided to give you more ads? (as ads are personalized per user ) But I weill def check that, thanks for letting me know !
(unfortunately, even when a creator chooses an ad plan- UA-cam can overwrite that, and I think maybe it's also the holiday season so marketers are pushing more ads... again sorry for that. Have you tried an ad blocker?)
You didn’t mention the tax form for non US residents when talking about the levels of difficulty 😂
Well, I avoid referencing taxes here, I get asked about that a lot- and 99% of the people who ask me are not from the same country as I do my business in- so my advice to them could technically be illegal.
It’s all good, I was only joking but it has and still is proving to be a pain in the butt
Also, are you Cancer or Gemini?
