Ash was so devoted on protecting his brother. He knew that his decision will cause him his life, but he was refused to let fez go down for something he did. At the end of the day, that’s what it still came down to but ash didn’t go out without a fight. I really wish he didn’t make that choice but that just shows how much he loves his brother..my heart is broken.
i feel like his character was so emotionally ahead of everyone. in his last scene you could see on his face every feeling and decision play out. it's like you could see him think about the fact this chaos has been his whole life, he never really had a chance at anything else, he was born into this life. and he chose to sacrifice himself for Fez because he still has that chance. i know that might not make sense because usually it'd be the opposite considering Fez is much older and Ash has more time left but he never had a chance to be a regular kid and he was never going to.

After season one of Euphoria came out he was a lead in the movie “North Hollywood”, and has two movies in production right now.. He’s clearly qualified. Even if he hadn’t acted before Euphoria, his performances on this show make him an actor.

Still can't believe what happened to Ash and Fez. Tonight's episode was, in my opinion, absolutely emotional from all character's perspective. It had powerful dialogues. It was unpredictable from the beginning and had that parts of suspense, like a thriller. I'm excited for the next step on this TV show and how Sam Levinson will develop that
That's a really great detail you noticed. The cinematographer shot this season on film (rather than digitally like S1) because he wanted the scenes to generate a 'memory' of high school for the viewers. He actually said so in an interview. So that sense of nostalgia you mentioned was deliberate in regards to how the season was filmed and how they wanted the viewers to perceive it. 👍🏾👍🏾
dude... when fez said "is everything good?' i cried. he was just gonna start a new chapter of his life. he got all dressed up for lexi's show man...in the next few minutes, his brother died.

I absolutely agree! I can’t explain it, but I cried in every scene rue was in this ep. It was so emotional to see her happy or feeling emotions or acting so mature 😭
I loved that through Lexi's play Rue was able to see who she is the side we all see of her . When she started the lexi chant I was like see girl we see you every Sunday and we know you are a good kid . Thank you so much for giving Rue the happiness . See you again Rue Rue ❤️
ik. This season was super powerful. The flashbacks with Rue reading the eulogy at his dad's funeral had me crying every single time. I just want this kid to be ok and realize her life is worth living💗
Ash didn't have not one line. His silence spoke volumes, Fez yelling for him over and over was heartbreaking. Next Season will be very interesting, Fez in prison? Rue sober? Cassie with no friends? And Nate now all of a sudden doing the right thing? RIP ASH...
Fez is the epitome of loyal. This man was going to take the fall for Ash because he wanted him to have a better life. Fez truly is a like a big teddy bear willing to protect his friends and family at any cost. Angus deserves an award for his performance as well. ❤️
Poor Ash. I think he just responded to the situation the only way he knew how, how he'd been taught, which was with extreme violence. It's raw and brutal and it's heartbreaking because he doesn't know any better and he loves his brother, so of course he will do anything to protect him. He genuinely believes this is the only way out. Honestly devastating. I cried so much when he died because it could have been avoided in my opinion but I think it will force Fez to change his perspective on things.
Can we all agree Lexi was the star of this season? From the very start with Fez and her to the very end with her and Rue. Lexi was the MVP this entire season and I'm happy she got so many great moments. Great finale and cannot wait for season 3.
Honestly Javon better get a Emmy Nom, that kid is Hella talented. This whole episode was Absolutely insane from start to finish! Glad to see rue clean, looking forward to her journey and as for cassie chileeeeee, this just the start. Cannot wait for season 3
The end words from Sam were so true, even Nate. Everyone on this show are complex and deep characters oozing with nuance which really makes this one of the best shows on tv right now. I’m missing McKay though
the way sam levinson has used his pain to create an award winning show is so inspiring. the fact that rue portrays something so personal to him. this show is a masterpiece
this season is literally the fall after the euphoric feeling and next season is probably the aftermath, just how rue has i’m sorry’s to say after her fall.
I find that the play itself and Euphoria as a show really have a lot of parallels. Lexi is creating a play about her life and sharing it with everyone and being honest and real. Sam Levinson is doing the same thing by creating this show in reflection of his life and experiences. I think this parallel is genius and shows how amazing Euphoria is as a whole. Well crafted!

This season definitely surpassed the first. You wouldn’t expect this show to be as thrilling as it is but episodes like this and when Rue went on the run were mind blowing.
I’m in my 30s and this show is AMAZING I was triggered so many times throughout the series and saw my younger self in some of the characters i actually felt it! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!
bro what killed me most was the scene with lexi hugging cassie or rues mom with her dad and then rue in the hospital and now she will experience that "loss" again with fez. She wasn;t lying when she said the sidekick is the main character
i love the difference between the ending scene of the first season versus this season. it beautifully shows how far rue has come, so well done. and the “i’m tired” to “i’m trying” ughsjshsk
this is rue's story. we know as much as she knows. so to see lexis perspective with flashes of what rue has seen. in season 3 we will probably see everything unravel and we will see rue get to know more of everything. normally rue keeps on thinking and thinking and watching lexis play was an escape to see something different than her painful perspective.
@H4RDCANDY probably all will be addressed next season .. but rue basically cut jules off and Elliot so it kinda irrelevant.. weither that long term we shall see as they are bad for her ..
I know people were complaining about how long Elliot’s song went, but I really liked it. I thought it was an important scene to add amongst the rest of the chaos of the finale. It also shed some light on why Elliot acted the way he did, and was good to have that closure too.
While I do think it was long there was so many ways that the show could've taken it visually that this episode's momentum wouldn't have felt so slowed down. We had so much go on and then this became a focus all of a sudden (when in reality we could've shed light in what Elliot did in a lesser way since he's still much of a side character anyway). If visually it took us some place (even a dream sequence) and not just a scene with us the third party awkwardly standing between the two of them, maybe we could've had some flow. What took me and my friends out was when he said "it's not done" and then we realized we just sat through a whole song lmao. All in all it was how it shifted momentum that seemed the reason why it felt so long.
i’m really sad that ashtray died… he really didn’t deserve it. at the same time, it makes sense because by the time they’re going to film season 3 he’s gonna go through puberty even more so there’ll be inconsistencies :(
Faye was a real one here.. gosh I wish things just ended with her own explanation of things. They’d still be incriminated but at least they’d still be here :( gut wrenching, fantastic episode
I've never seen a show, or movie, capture what life and what addiction is like. This show changed my life, I was an addict who lost her father. It felt like I was watching my life on screen. I've never seen anything that truly depicts the darkness and simultaneously the beauty of human life. Raw, but so, so beautiful. That's a very fine line to walk, and Sam and cast did it perfectly.
The last episode made me laugh at times and sad but I’m overall satisfied with this season it was a bit more slow and chill compared to the first but I think that’s good because they can expand heaps on the next season
I dont think that the purpose is To have a normal fictionnal tv show he is trying to share w/ us his story in his own way euphoria is lexi's play in real life

Season 2 is all the characters melting down. It was excellent. The ending with Rue fixing her friendship with Lexie and staying clean offers a glimmer of hope.

Ash realizing it's over for him, the look on his face, will haunt me for a long time. He is a kid. He must have been having fun, laughing around, being an annoying middle schooler. But he has been pushed into this box and had to take up more than he could, he should have been. Ash will be dearly missed. I am also very very very sorry for Fez. But i really hope he survives the gsw😭
honestly for me this whole show is just free therapy. making me deal with the emotions I had when I was a teenager, even though nothing as dramatic as in the show, never happen to me. euphoria just depicts the feelings we all have/had at that age so well!

I’m going to miss ash so much. Fantastic character. And this episode really displayed how traumatised this poor child is, he’s conditioned to respond with violence. It’s like instinct to him. He had no future.
I know this show is not about happy endings, but I really hope they give that chance to Rue, Fez and Lexi. I think it's important to show that, yeah life sucks sometimes, but there is also hope and good things happen to good people. Excited to see what comes next.

I would have to agree with some of the comments regarding Laurie and the suitcase. I really had a theory that the ending would be Rue walking out of the school the way she did but actually getting snatched up by Laurie’s people so she can use her for trafficking just like she promised would happen.

This episode had me choking up the whole way through. The song at the end was really beautiful. This show has really touched my heart, I relate too much to this show. Sam has done a wonderful job. Can't wait for more.
I'm so glad rue got a positive ending. I wouldn't say happy ending because shes only 17 and time will tell.. but i'm glad that she found that hope for herself without depending on jules love. Sometimes you really need to let go of loving someone so you can take care of yourself. The message of this episode is so important and i can relate to it on so many levels. She made the mature and right decision
These characters are so complicated I love them all. The acting is phenomenal, the story is outstanding. I wish there was a show like this when I was growing up, the 90s really needed it. Thank you all so much for your talent
nate and jacobs family deserve a special episode fr idc what anyone think. Jacob was astronomically good acting but wasnt adressed too much like sidney or Z because his characters axis are in the nuances when get defensive or the contained and directioned rage

I absolutely agree! I can’t explain it, but I cried in every scene rue was in this ep. It was so emotional to see her happy or feeling emotions or acting so mature 😭

Fez is the epitome of loyal. This man was going to take the fall for Ash because he wanted him to have a better life. Fez truly is a like a big teddy bear willing to protect his friends and family at any cost. Angus deserves an award for his performance as well. ❤️
Poor Ash. I think he just responded to the situation the only way he knew how, how he'd been taught, which was with extreme violence. It's raw and brutal and it's heartbreaking because he doesn't know any better and he loves his brother, so of course he will do anything to protect him. He genuinely believes this is the only way out. Honestly devastating. I cried so much when he died because it could have been avoided in my opinion but I think it will force Fez to change his perspective on things.
Rue is a representation of Sam? This show makes a lot of sense. Sam moving on and actually creating art out if his life is commendable

Can we all agree Lexi was the star of this season? From the very start with Fez and her to the very end with her and Rue. Lexi was the MVP this entire season and I'm happy she got so many great moments. Great finale and cannot wait for season 3.

I find that the play itself and Euphoria as a show really have a lot of parallels. Lexi is creating a play about her life and sharing it with everyone and being honest and real. Sam Levinson is doing the same thing by creating this show in reflection of his life and experiences. I think this parallel is genius and shows how amazing Euphoria is as a whole. Well crafted!

This season definitely surpassed the first. You wouldn’t expect this show to be as thrilling as it is but episodes like this and when Rue went on the run were mind blowing.
I’m in my 30s and this show is AMAZING I was triggered so many times throughout the series and saw my younger self in some of the characters i actually felt it! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!

i love the difference between the ending scene of the first season versus this season. it beautifully shows how far rue has come, so well done. and the “i’m tired” to “i’m trying” ughsjshsk
this is rue's story. we know as much as she knows. so to see lexis perspective with flashes of what rue has seen. in season 3 we will probably see everything unravel and we will see rue get to know more of everything. normally rue keeps on thinking and thinking and watching lexis play was an escape to see something different than her painful perspective.
it's not about what happened this season. it's about rue and the now. always has been.

Honestly besides ash this was the ending that left me satisfied for the wait but how they did ASH I COULDNT EVEN CRY I WAS IN SO MUCH SHOCK
I know people were complaining about how long Elliot’s song went, but I really liked it. I thought it was an important scene to add amongst the rest of the chaos of the finale. It also shed some light on why Elliot acted the way he did, and was good to have that closure too.
While I do think it was long there was so many ways that the show could've taken it visually that this episode's momentum wouldn't have felt so slowed down. We had so much go on and then this became a focus all of a sudden (when in reality we could've shed light in what Elliot did in a lesser way since he's still much of a side character anyway). If visually it took us some place (even a dream sequence) and not just a scene with us the third party awkwardly standing between the two of them, maybe we could've had some flow.
What took me and my friends out was when he said "it's not done" and then we realized we just sat through a whole song lmao.
All in all it was how it shifted momentum that seemed the reason why it felt so long.
The way Fez cried for Ash to leave killed me 😭

I've never seen a show, or movie, capture what life and what addiction is like. This show changed my life, I was an addict who lost her father. It felt like I was watching my life on screen. I've never seen anything that truly depicts the darkness and simultaneously the beauty of human life. Raw, but so, so beautiful. That's a very fine line to walk, and Sam and cast did it perfectly.
The last episode made me laugh at times and sad but I’m overall satisfied with this season it was a bit more slow and chill compared to the first but I think that’s good because they can expand heaps on the next season
Sam really needs a writers room…. More than one voice writing this show would be a positive thing

Season 2 is all the characters melting down. It was excellent. The ending with Rue fixing her friendship with Lexie and staying clean offers a glimmer of hope.
2 more episodes would have wrapped up some other stuff, wish there was 10 episodes a season.

Ash realizing it's over for him, the look on his face, will haunt me for a long time. He is a kid. He must have been having fun, laughing around, being an annoying middle schooler. But he has been pushed into this box and had to take up more than he could, he should have been. Ash will be dearly missed. I am also very very very sorry for Fez. But i really hope he survives the gsw😭
honestly for me this whole show is just free therapy. making me deal with the emotions I had when I was a teenager, even though nothing as dramatic as in the show, never happen to me. euphoria just depicts the feelings we all have/had at that age so well!

I’m going to miss ash so much. Fantastic character. And this episode really displayed how traumatised this poor child is, he’s conditioned to respond with violence. It’s like instinct to him. He had no future.
I know this show is not about happy endings, but I really hope they give that chance to Rue, Fez and Lexi. I think it's important to show that, yeah life sucks sometimes, but there is also hope and good things happen to good people. Excited to see what comes next.
Ash's actor is really great, can't wait to see him in more things... He is the stand-out for me this episode....

I would have to agree with some of the comments regarding Laurie and the suitcase. I really had a theory that the ending would be Rue walking out of the school the way she did but actually getting snatched up by Laurie’s people so she can use her for trafficking just like she promised would happen.

This season is one I can’t forget. By the time season 3 airs I feel I won’t have to rewatch because it was just felt.
This season finale gave so much and it was a great emotional , roller coaster episode. Can’t wait to see what season 3 will bring when we get to it.
I'm so glad rue got a positive ending. I wouldn't say happy ending because shes only 17 and time will tell.. but i'm glad that she found that hope for herself without depending on jules love. Sometimes you really need to let go of loving someone so you can take care of yourself. The message of this episode is so important and i can relate to it on so many levels. She made the mature and right decision
