    I finally worked up the nerve to use the templates. I basted my quilt - about twin size. I am so glad I had watched your tutorial. Templates worked great!

    I've been looking for a good Baptist fan template. This looks like it. I ordered a set! Thanks for sharing.

    I have had these templates/rulers for awhile now and used them to quilt a Civil War Churn Dash quilt. However, I loaded my quilt upside down and turned the rulers upside down also so that I am sewing the curve edge toward me and I travel left to right. Thank you for showing us your way. I’ll have to try it next. Very good tip on lining up the quilt top and batting.

    LOVE the reverse floating technique! I also do not like to prebaste and roll. Have you ever used this technique with larger quilts though. I love how you share products and techniques.

      Personally I haven’t done the reverse float on a quilt that was larger than 70 x 70, but I definitely want to give it a shot:) We will keep you updated!

    Wow! Just wow! Just wondering. When you do the #11, could you mark the dashes, before starting the next with the #3 so you don’t have to keep picking up the #11? Yes, that is me…always looking for a shortcut! I see in comments that you will show this on a domestic machine, so I was hoping you will have this answer next week.

      You can definitely mark the points so you don’t have to pick up the 11 everytime, but using the 11 gives you the perfect arc over stitch❤️

    Thanks for the demo, Corey. I don't have the panto for my machine. How thick are these rules?

    Is the dash lines at different incurments, quarter inch, half inch and so on?

    Great video- I recently discovered your website - How big is the Baptist fan whenever you use the full set? Can you just use a few of the pieces of the set to make the fan smaller?

    • @LindasElectricQuilters
      @LindasElectricQuilters  6 місяців тому

      Thank you! The full Baptist fan is roughly 5.5inches. Corey has played with doing the 3, 5, & 7 template only and has had success:)

    If you wanted to liad your quilt the "normal" way but upside down would it be difficult to use these templates upside down?

    • @LindasElectricQuilters
      @LindasElectricQuilters  6 місяців тому +1

      You can definitely do that:) The paper instructions show you how to do it that way. Corey always likes the templates to be in front of him instead of behind the hoping foot:)

    question...do you recommend a thinner thread due to cross overs? if yes what weight thread would you recommend?

    • @LindasElectricQuilters
      @LindasElectricQuilters  8 місяців тому

      Great question! In this video we used OMNI which is a 40 weight, but you could use SoFine #50 to have a thinner over stitch appearance.
