This is awesome! Thanks for posting! Wish these guys had put out a full length album, after listening to just this one track you can tell that these guys had something a bit special.
Xysma, Lubricant, Disgrace, Paraxism, Pan.Thy.Monium, Supuration, Phlebotomized, Crypt of Kerberos, Iniquity, Mangled Torsos and Wicked Innocence are the best bands
Aw man, what a great band! I still have my original 3" CD from back in the day. IMO, those 3 songs are better than most of the albums put out by their genre-mates.
Ha, I actually owned this adorable 3" MCD. I wonder what would've become of Paraxism hadn't they disbanded in 1998. They have a sound that reminds me of the one that a lot of popular Melodic Death Metal bands have only developedin the past six or seven, while this EP is already fourteen years old, and is certainly better than most of the contemporary Melodic Death Metal bands. I'm sure they could have been quite successful.
I did listen their "selected works promo 95" and found another jewel in the rough. Song called Imitating... Uploaded it to youtube. In case you are interested you can find it through my channel.
achievement unlocked! if you can read this, then congratulations! you've reached lvl 99 in being a metal hipster. you now can crush 1000 opeth kids with a single bow.
I've been giving their demos a fair amount of listening time and finally this song catched on me. Magnificient stuff, very nice melodies and riffwork. Unfortunately the rest of .xism isn't this good. Leech sounds like a pretty fine piece but Hills's melodies are mostly tame. Maybe i'll find more really worthwhile stuff from other demos later... Interesting band anyway, especially as two members went to be in Trio Niskalaukaus and singer in Ghost Brigade.

This made my day!
ahh this is fucking awesome , some great original stuff , never thought would hear this variant of death \m/!!!
I like how death metal bands use major scales and that makes it sound happy. Obfuscation and Xysma also tend to do it.
Happy metal at its best
Check out the album "Reflections" by Convulse
This song is so fucking glorious
